They rarely harm humans coz they know it's dangerous , there r many tigers in india n I've went to one those national park safari in open jeep(it may sound like dumb thing to do but it's not they haven't harmed any safari tourist ever since it started) , many villages n some roads cross through forest with tigers n they don't do anything , yes there r some very rare cases maneaters but they r either caged for life or put down by forest officials also 2 million $ fine n life imprisonment or death sentence if u kill tiger n if ur caught in forest with any kind of guns or weapons forest guards will shot u dead due to which they know they aren't going to get harmed so they don't harm humans also tiger population increased from 2.5 to 3.3 k due to this in wild in india

Tigers are from South-East Asia and Central Asia, where there is a lot of jungle. They can afford to be a lot stockier than other cats since chasing down prey is less of a priority since they can just sneak up on their prey. Their large claws allow them to climb trees (As well as to rip their prey to pieces) and big feet aid in swimming. Their stripes probably help them blend into the forest better, though physical appearances tend to be heavily effected by sexual preferences.
Lions roam the African plains, where the ability to climb trees or swim would be practically useless. Despite their size they are quite lean because in Africa, where a predator (and prey) could have total unblocked view of their surroundings, there is only one rule: run fast or die (Or be an elephant who steps on everything). The male Lion's legendary mane is there to make it appear larger (Notice how male lions always seem much bigger than the females, despite being of comparable size). This is important when sharing the landscape with elephants and rhinos. The size of the mane is also likely a sexual preference thing. Female lions likely find male lions with dem long manes attractive, while competing males would be intimidated by their "size".
Basically it's all about passing on "good" genes and letting "bad" genes die off. After several millennia, what you get between isolated groups can be vastly different. After that, sexual preferences take place as secondary evolutionary advantages. This is particularly true with humans and that's why African women have big butts and Asian women are quite small and childlike, and the males from either continent wouldn't have it any other way :p

If my memory serves me correctly those spots work as “eyes” to counter any predators sneaking up on them
I've been told my wildlife conservationists that they're called "follow-me" spots, so that cubs can follow the mother through dense foliage

I recall, back in the mid 90's, there was a "making of" documentary about Jurassic Park. They showed a sound effects guy sit with his array of music keyboards that were set to play animal sounds, from walrus, to avian calls and so on, played at different pitches to create the sounds for the dinosaurs. It would be no surprise if they used something like tiger sounds in Jurassic World as well.
