My favorite salad.
Its hilarious how on BA they have this video and then they have another where one of their test kitchen people does poached eggs 3 ways with no vinegar. And how it's super easy. I made a whole batch of 8 poached eggs in like 10 minutes last sunday.
I'd fry the bacon first until it's 90% done, and then turn the heat down and add the shallots.

trabant66666 There’s nothing remotely English about it. The style isn’t English. The chef is French. The restaurant is presumably American, since it’s it BA’s series of the ten hottest US restaurants.
Ludo put way too much vinegar in the water. The poached egg will taste AWFUL. Hopefully he never actually makes Frisee like that.

You probably wont taste it with all the fat from the bacon.
