I had seen the fraud alert from my phone with the bank and freaked out. I confirmed that I haven't ordered those games and called Sony that some hacker got into my account then bought some games without my permission. Then Sony was unable to keep my account open unless I paid $75 as due to their weird policies

I picked up my Series X yesterday and I'm loving it already however I just realized that mostly all my games are digital and stored on a last gen external hd. I'm always doing research on my investments and I found out that in order to fully appreciate current gen (optimized) games they need to be installed on the internal hd. Time to transfer lol :)
Just got en series x since i always feelt more connected to xbox over sony. Back then i bought playstation only becouse of destiny was exklusive.but now i feel more like home again. For me the controller feels more natural beside gaming it is also an amazing multimedia machine for my new lg b1 oled i couldnt be happyer

The last console I owned was a N64!!! I have been a PC gamer the last 23 years. I just for the heck of it thought of getting a Xbox Series X. So I bought it 2 days ago. I did buy it from GameStop and I did not have to do the monthly purchase thing. I am learning the Console world again. I do have GamePass Ultimate, I had it for my PC, which not many games. But I am enjoying having both a power house gaming PC and the Series X. My only issue is getting a 1440P or 4k Monitor. Right now I have 3 32" 1080p monitors for my PC. I hooked the xbox up to the middle one for now, and I can easily switch the input to go from PC to Series X and vise versa. I also have my pc showing on the monitors on each side of the desk while playing Xbox. To upgrade monitors will be VERY expensive for me. I don't think I will go 3 4k, maybe start with 1 1440P for my middle monitor and see how I like the difference.

Having to pay up to $200 to expand the storage might be a deal breaker for me. I bought a 2TB external SSD for my son's XBOX ONE for $55. We've had XBOX Live for years and it's only $5.00 a month.
Just a few quick points to raise regarding your video. First off, having to pay for online play has been the standard for consoles for three generations so far. And for Microsoft, their game streaming service includes that feature, for all games. Second, it's unfortunate that you only discuss cloud gaming after this video, since that functionality is included with Game Pass Ultimate (both PC and Xbox gaming). Any Windows, Apple device, or Android device can access this feature, which is a point in Microsoft's favor if you care for this feature. I agree that the appeal for an Xbox is reduced if you have a much more expensive gaming PC, since Microsoft has been strongly supporting both for years, and since the Xbox base will likely become a popular place for porting PC titles, due to the similarities of development. There are though, and likely will remain to be, some major and popular titles unique to only one of those platforms. As to the selection of Game Pass titles, every platforms has titles which are crap. But the abundance of much better titles (such as AA or AAA games) negates that. And for the price of three great games per year, you can beat those games, and experience some enjoyable games which you wouldn't know of otherwise, and play the streaming games on multiple devices, and potentially play some of your games which aren't part of the streaming service remotely. In short, Game Pass is not something to dismiss. There's a reason why Sony is trying to copy it.
I just want developers to start taking advantage of the power already behind the series X. And for me yes gamepass is 110% worth it I get to try out games before I make an initial purchase.
Nice video. To what you said at the 4:40 ish mark, I agree. I remember the Xbox 360s "blades" UI, I wish they'd bring that back, or at least a variant of it. It was a nice sleek & smooth design. To what you said about the expansion card/memory unit, my collection being what it is I bought it (1 TB version). Also keep in mind that those games labeled as "optimized for the Xbox series S/X" will ONLY work either from the consoles internal hard drive, or from one of these expansion cards/memory units. With the exception of Skyrim, none of those games work off an external hard drive, although you can archive them in an external hard drive. The same holds true with the PS5 (you can archive PS5 games on an external drive, but not play them from it). I've heard Seagate has the exclusive rights to create those things for a year or so, after which others can make those expansion cards/memory units. Competition SHOULD drive those prices down some, but I doubt it'll be more then $50.

Absolutely worth it. No questions asked. I am only slightly disappointed I had to buy it out of someone's trunk for $50 over retail and that I was under the impression the entire library of games was backwards compatible but that isn't so. Best graphics best load times best titles available and not only that it's very flexible and storage can be added up to 3TB. Love it.
I’ve had my Xbox series X day one when it released in 2020. Most games have been cross generation and are playable on older Xbox via the cloud. I’d say you weren’t missing out on much tbh. However, when star-field and red-fall releases next year, I’d try to get a series X or S if I didn’t have one already. I think last gen consoles will start to be left behind in 2023 moving forward.

Backwards compatibility for my older xbox console games didn't work for all 9 of the previous games I kept that I like. None of them have been updated to work on series X. I bought the XBOX X anyway, I like it, it's fast and more like a gaming PC now. Just the hype seems misleading. Also the price, I had to pay over a grand for mine, $500 for the console almost $400 for 2 years of Xbox Ultimate and $220 for the 1Tb expansion card. Still slightly cheaper than a gaming PC, and this is why I decided to go ahead and purchase.
Should have done the all-access that's what I did and it's actually a little cheaper like that if you plan on using GP or you can just pay it all off. I think MS is also now letting you buy from their website.

My thought is to enjoy what’s available now. And if there is a confirm release and you 100% want to upgrade, sell at the announcement of the next console.
It was worth it in 2021. It isn't worth it in 2022 but it may be worth it in 2023. As for 2024? I honestly don't know but I look forward to your video on the matter.
I own Series X and S since the launch. This is the last time ill ever buy any kind of a next gen console. DRM Checks and the requirement to always stay connected to the internet just to use the console or install any physical game copies, disappointed me honestly.
Xbox can be set to home so you can play offline, it worked for me and I even disconnected my internet to try it out and it worked, even when Xbox live was done a few weaks ago i was still playing all my games just fine.

Since u haven't had an xbox for years. And u do not really like xbox live. The best option is to buy xbox live gold for 1 year in store. U can do this for up to 3 years. Switch to gamepass ultimate for 1 dollar. More and then u can have gamepass for 61 or 121 or 181 dollars for up to three years. It does work and I have been doing the loop. I do not pay monthly for xbox gamepass ultimate. U can also use this on ur pc as well.. Hurry and do this before Microsoft removes xbox live gold for good. It's the only good use case for it. So cancel ur xbox gamepass subscription go buy gold in store. Then switch over to gamepass ultimate again.

Critique, who doesn't (in the console world) charge money for online play. Even on our home's switch you have to pay extra for online play (though its cheaper). And the online play is included with your Game Pass (ultimate) if you decided that's worth it to you.
Yes there is absolutely nothing to PLAY, I've had one for a while now and I'm selling it, no new IP's on the way anytime soon, just remakes. All old games with prettier graphics and better fps....whooooopiii (rolls eyes). This gen doesn't even exist, and I don't see it taking off any time soon, been staring at the same games now for years!!
I’ve got the ps5 and the Xbox series x. Had a lot more games on Xbox. I am today returning the Xbox series x. Game pass is cool but god of war Spider-Man aren’t on it and also the controller is better on ps5. If you’ve had Xbox one you feel like you just bought the same console twice. So for me feeling like it’s the same console and playing the same games aren’t enough to keep it.
Honestly I loved it in the early days of owning this console. But the lack of games really just ruined my experience so I bought a ps5. Other then the lack of games the series x is an amazing console But no xbox series x game really pushes the system to its fully capabilities.

Honestly I don't think it's worth it. I also have both s/x and the restrictions are the scamming icing on the cake. I really just use it for retroarch now if my steam games ever work on the browser. Other than that these games are extremely pointless with mostly 3 stars and fatter lawsuits than the shits that clog toilets.

Get Game Pass Ultimate. It comes with Xbox Live & Ea Play. Much more worth it IMO.

It's only an issue if your someplace without any internet at all for long periods in most cases its a non issue.

I’ve got the ps5 and the Xbox series x. Had a lot more games on Xbox. I am today returning the Xbox series x. Game pass is cool but god of war Spider-Man aren’t on it and also the controller is better on ps5. If you’ve had Xbox one you feel like you just bought the same console twice. So for me feeling like it’s the same console and playing the same games aren’t enough to keep it.
God of war and Spiderman are on pc. U do not need a ps5 for those games.

Honestly I loved it in the early days of owning this console.
But the lack of games really just ruined my experience so I bought a ps5.
Other then the lack of games the series x is an amazing console
But no xbox series x game really pushes the system to its fully capabilities.
I've had a SX and PS5 for like a year now and I don't even turn on the PS5 because they don't have any new exclusives that I won't to play right now so I'm spending most of my gaming time on the SX and GP.

Xbox is not good at all it’s boring.
Honestly I don't think it's worth it. I also have both s/x and the restrictions are the scamming icing on the cake. I really just use it for retroarch now if my steam games ever work on the browser. Other than that these games are extremely pointless with mostly 3 stars and fatter lawsuits than the shits that clog toilets.

@@ThePhantomGamerForever the restriction and limitations of being a paying customer. I can get an entirely different functioning os that is trying to compete so hard in the paint. I can't play dmc2 offline.
