I worked for Nygard 1771 Inkster Blvd. WPG summer of 1983 as an Engineering summer student. No one said anything. My wife worked for him as well. She said he was touchy and he would massage her shoulders. She got the creeps. This was late 1980's and people were talking. He was never charged in Winnipeg. Very strange. Well done video. Bang on.

I'm from Winnipeg! this is a rare thing for my city to feature in any online video from another country. Nygaard used to have giant billboards in my neighborhood with just him posing and his main clothing outlet was just 4 blocks from me. We have all heard for a while he was a total creep. I am very happy to see him out away finally.

I worked for Nygard in a high position for 5 years. Highly successful in the garment business - unlike any other Canadian because of our weaker market. He ran a tight ship and had tight quality standards for his clothing. However, the man was not "right". Fortunately he seldom came to our office. When he was around I "felt" it. I met some of his family members and they were not at all like him. His son Kai, whom I also met, made a brave move in calling him out. (laughing at the comment below because our office had a parrot called "Buyer" who had quite the character and who was also quite a critic of our office conversations.)

Thanks for showing the poster where he looks like a tanned vampire. Pushing his puny muscles out. These were posted all over Winnipeg around 2018. Very cheesy and disturbing. Many were happy to see these taken down after he was charged. Very apropos and ironic. The vampire was vanquished.

I have such a creepy story involving Peter Nygard at a stem cell clinic I was at in Panama. I work in fashion. He saw me in the waiting room at the clinic(talking on SPEAKER phone very loudly. Complaining about having to even wait.) Long story short, his assist ended up giving me his personal card to get in touch with them. I never did. Because I sensed his creep-ness. Big opportunity I thought at the time that I squandered. Later found out about the sex rings.

You escaped trouble big time! I grew up in Winnipeg where he had his huge factory. Two of my older sister's friends worked there while we toiled away in university. The stories they would tell about him coming into the office area and then order 1 of the office girls to come to his office for 'work'. It was never work and the girls would come out upset or crying. As you can guess, there was a big turnover of female staff. Btw, his office at the factory actually had a full bedroom attached to it. Nygard had friends in high places in both the city of Winnipeg, the Provincial government of Manitoba, and the City of Wpg police department. Many of the girls went to the police to complain about their run-ins with Nygard in the office but all the cases were either never investigated or fizzled out with dead ends. Some of the girls who went to police were paid off with non-disclosure clauses. My sister and I heard about the office goings on between 1974 to about 1978. He was wellborn as a 'slime bucket'. Young girls were attracted to him because of his money, the night-clubbing and partying he did, and the thought they could bed him to wed him but that never worked. He wasn't interested in any 'older' women but preferred virgins. If I can find the documentary done about him, I'll link it in the comments. It was sad how officials closed their eyes to what was happening but he brought big business to a city that was depressed economically. As they say, "Money talks."

Apparently the Duke of York and his ex-wife Fergie also visited the Bahamas because there's pictures in the book with his elderly parents posing with them.

His staff recruited photographers via Craig's List and local photo clubs to get as many people with cameras and flashes as they could find to follow him around and photograph him. We were paid for our time and instructed to not mention that we were being paid in front of Mr. Nygard, so that squares with your accounts of his need to feel important and of interest to the general public.

Peter Nygard has left a trail of tears in his wake and is a good example of how far arrogance can take a person. Business success is rarely incredible when closely studied. If it were, incredibility would have little meaning in the present world of explosive business expansion. What might also be claimed would be his incredible success in reproduction and perhaps other acts similarly auspicious. As to the title Dr. Grande used I find it plausible that most people of normal understanding want to live forever but understand that this has not been done to date. A few folks would not wish to live forever, but that would require yet more understanding.

What ruined this man Is NOT his behavior and attitude, but simply that he didn't have as much money and political "juice" as he might have thought. Source: am finnish, live in finland, the school i went to was on the other side of the lake. In winters I either walked over the lake, or went by ski. It's just faster to go straight. Yes, the lakes are safe to go on for most of the winter.
