Same. I grew up with a sadistic sociopath and narcissist as parents, who had as much accountability as Sarah. When they beat me up, it was my fault that I fried eggs, washed floor or turned the lights on when they didn’t want me to. And then I watch true crime and see all the same patterns. Everyone else is always to blame, no accountability whatsoever and always the victim. And I think it’s quite nice to live my lonely life without drama and crazy people. And it’s not pathetic. It’s reasonable and wise. Pathetic would be to be with someone who’s unable to self-reflect and take accountability.

It might come later. My mother is a narcissist. Fortunately she’s not a murderer, but she put her kids into life-threatening situation because she was so in love with a sadistic sociopath. She was incapable of thinking that one day he might go too far and end her kids. There were many close calls. She’s reaching her 70s now and she revealed that she has been thinking that MAYBE(!) she should apologise for what she did. Sarah has time to think that maybe his son is somehow affected by her actions. Maybe if she lived 130 years old, she could reach that level of critical thinking.

@ I do think that too! He was her toy and she could do with him what she likes and all this fuss is much to do about nothing. If it wasn’t for those damn scoundrel detectives this all would’ve been swept under the rug like she thinks it should be. Nothing to see here. Oopsie. That’s the thing about those borderline personality types though….its a circular disaster of thought. I think both are true at the same time. I have plenty of comments all over UA-cam saying the same that you just did. She has done most of the things to others that she’s accused Jorge of doing to her. How dare the world value Jorge’s life over her comfort, lies and superiority. Same with control of getting him in trouble to then save him and again to use law enforcement against him to hold over his head. It all comes back around. Now she’s read the book called terrifying love to repeat but this was a cycle that she put in place to use to her advantage over Jorge.

I can't think of any other time when I've seen lawyers in such shock - the comment about meeting in heaven in particular causing a lot of interesting reactions - and happy about a life sentence. These are people, whose work is to get the best outcome for their clients, even in horrific situations, were practically looking for some champagne at sentencing, they were so satisfied by the outcome.
