Hi everyone! True Iron Maiden fans get chills when they hear this track-you know exactly what I mean. That feeling hits you every time the song plays. The most exciting part of creating this tutorial wasn’t the guitars-it was programming Nicko’s drums! I love the drumming in this song; it’s just so cool. I’m really happy with how it turned out, and I think the backing track sounds fantastic. As always, enjoy the lesson! 🤘 😎🤘
Could someone explain me please, what's the difference between PH, AH and SH (SH for example is shown at 0:55)? I think all of them are Pinch Harmonics, but what is the difference and how do you play each of them correctly? Great Cover by the way, keep going!
The basic theory you need to understand is that every string produces more notes than just the fundamental note you play-higher notes that correspond to fractional string lengths. When a string vibrates, you can touch it at specific spots, essentially muting the fundamental note and allowing the higher harmonics to stand out. Natural Harmonic: You lightly touch the string at a specific spot while it is open. Artificial Harmonic (AH): Similar to a natural harmonic, but the string is fretted. Pinch Harmonic (PH): You pluck the string while simultaneously touching it with your right-hand thumb at a harmonic-producing spot. Semi-Harmonic (SH): Similar to a pinch harmonic, but you touch a spot that doesn’t precisely produce a harmonic, resulting in a subtler effect. Hope this helps!
@@songtutorialThank you! Before, I had just played Pinch Harmonics, although it wasn't exactly the same effect, as I wanted it to be. You have helped me out!
Even though it's a little more commercial.... it's like like their version of Metallicas Black album in a way it's very good. It shows some good song writing and more involved musical arrangements. Great album...love it. I wished they stayed more like thins and Seventh son of a Seventh son compared to the last few albums. I think they try to push all writing skills music and lyrics further and further each album.. at some point it's a little too much.
Haha, no problem! Tone screenshots for all videos are available to members on my website. I use BIAS FX2 for my tone, along with a couple of DAW post effects like chorus and reverb that sound great.
@songtutorial just yesterday I looked on your website to make subscription as member. If you confirm that for each song you show your sound setup, I will apply immediately. Thank you

Another great tab. Any chance for some Crimson Glory or Queensryche? 😊
Thank you! It's not on the list for now, as I want to dive deeper into those classics first.

great cover, however, solo 1 start with 2 strings playing at the same time (2° string (15) + (3° string (14) Full and release). Cheers
Yes, you're right. I missed that-thank you for pointing it out. 👍
@@songtutorial My pleasure, keep rocking
👍👍👍💪💪💪👏👏👏
There's not a single bad song on Maiden's 80's albums.
Nope. 😄😄😄

Εχεις δωσει πονο με τους maiden τελευταια😆 τι τραγουδι ακολουθει;
Χαχα. Maiden μέχρι να σβήσει ο ήλιος. Θα κάνω ή το The Ides of March ή το Number of the Beast. Θα δούμε...
Sorry but in every your song I ask always the same. What are the effects configuration?
