Previously a Flight Attendant, traveling the world and never unpacking. Now I live in a very rural, farming community. The past few years I made the mistake of shopping for who I was and then feeling badly about never being able to wear the things I purchased. I am finally learning to appreciate the change of scenery and accept that it’s not “sad” that I don’t get to dress up. Life has patterns and you just have to find your groove.

Same; worked corporate for years, now living rural… my old self is still living in my wardrobe 😅

You worded that so well. It isn't sad to acknowledge reality. The best parts of life aren't the outfits -- they're the experiences! 🙌

Yes, I do love my outfits, and I am so happy about it! And I am like you, I will always appreciate the beautiful pieces that offer something unique, either in shape, pattern or suit that flatter me. Can't wait for more videos from you, I love 'em all.

Thank you! I love the examples of your everyday style. It inspires me to have better comfortable clothing. I’d love it if you did a video on why you bought things in your closet and what speaks to you in the quality/function of each of the pieces that made you buy them.

You are so right about fashion using up the "good outfits" and now we're left with the trend of underwear as pants because one supermodel went out like that. SMH

Our builds are nearly identical, and I also like a really high rise. They are the only thing that come near to my actual waist. Mid-rise, which they say should hit your belly button fall about 2 inches below mine, and it leaves me yanking them up all day. Really liked the video, new subscriber here.

Priska, i would love to see a video about how to wear a blazer if you have a curvy body ( i have 172 cm, 68 kilos and my measurements 90-68-104 in centimetres). Sorry for the metric data, i live in Europe ❤🤗

    • @PriskaJordan

Here are my quick tips for blazers for curves:
      1. Choose which area to go oversized or fitted: top or bottom.
      2. If your blazer looks too large on you, try a thin belt over the top to define your waist.
      3. If you skip the belt, ops for high-waisted bottoms to accent your waistline.
      Hope this helps you! ❤️

Thank you for bringing sense to great style...LOVE the colorful and unique wardrobe....dressing for your body and your lifestyle is key....I happen to LOVE clothes and my own personal style, have an amazing collection of high quality clothing, but rarely leave my ranch, I don't go anywhere, and am usually in muck and chores clothes...I work from home as an artist, and don't have the outings or social life to get dressed....ugh...I don't want to let go of those items I love, but perhaps I need to invent a partial lifestyle or more social engagements that would give me reason to dress well....I dress up when doing errands in town, but literally, no one around here dresses nicely....very sad indeed...maybe I need to move to Spain? LOL

Hahah! I know how you feel. I went to a fast casual restaurant yesterday, and 3 people were wearing their pajamas. 😳 It's a strange normality these days... I encourage you to just keep dressing how you want to feel in public, and truthfully, you'll change the culture around you.
As for home life, as long as your clothes serve your activities well, it's all you can really ask for! But I agree to getting coffee/dinner with friends and using that as a reason to wear your fabulous outfits! 💃

LOL...went to a neighborhood party for someone's birthday....myself and one other person dressed up....a few were in sweats and slippers, most in dirty ranch clothes or workout wear....🤪@@PriskaJordan

I've been trying a slower buy year. It's going ok, lol. I'm a work in progress. Your videos have been so helpful! A recent lightbulb moment I want to share...I don't like contrasting color outfits. Black pants and a white sweater. It's classic, but for me I feel my best in tonal or colors closer to each other. This is going to make a huge difference for me moving forward with shopping. Thank you, Priska!

Yesss! That’s great to hear! 🙌🏼 I’m the same way. Tonal outfits feel cohesive. Thanks for sharing.
