Your album dissects are genuinely some of the most underrated videos on UA-cam. I always love tuning in and learning 3-5 new things about albums I love
Very sad that hes not making videos anymore. If the creator of this video sees this, you did great, I know its hard making such great content that doesnt get seen, but its worth it
Your production quality is so fine man. You deserve so much more recognition. Please don't quit because of the underwhelming response. This much talent doesn't go unrecognized for too long.
Might make a little community post about what I've been up to. I've been busy with creative stuff--just different creative stuff. The fact that my videos had an impact on you is heartwarming though. Thnx for making my evening a little brighter
Busy working on a novel atm. Trying to find new ways to entertain and inform ;) But thank you for the kind words. There's a world where I put my all into this channel, and comments like these sometimes make me wonder
God the "How dat boy?" joke got me good. I always appreciate hearing you dive deeper into the meaning behind music and I think this one is helping me to further appreciate an album I already enjoyed first listen.
I really dont understand how this doesnt have thousands of views, your videos are genuinlly some of the most entertaining and interessting on the whole platform Im super excited for your next album analysis
Easily the most underrated video essayist on UA-cam. I came from the ta1300 and the gkmc analysis and this third one are all amazing and some of my favorite videos on UA-cam.
wow while I was watching your video I thought you for sure have a lot of followers and stuff and I was so shocked you are not as popular... keep making such amazing videos man
24:43 true Lil Wayne fans would've still analyze the lyrics💀👀 (Just discovered your channel, I love this video and the other artists you did, Kendrick Lamar and Denzel Curry. Keep up with the eye catching edits and the great analyzes'🙌)
I gotta say, this was a great analysis of this album! I won't lie to you, I really wasn't able to pick up on most of this stuff when I listened to this album haha but your video just made it so clear and seem so obvious. You seem to be a very well-spoken and intelligent person, and I would really love to hear more music content! I also loved your videos on gkmc and taboo and I think you seem to have a really great understanding of what artists are going for! Before I continue on with praise, imma give you some recommendations! (but fr make it on whatever u want haha) I would love to see another video on Kendrick, especially damn, I think it would be cool for you to tell the story of IGOR, maybe a Kanye video too? (mbdtf or tlop might be good?) and I think you should also look into Melanie Martinez and her album crybaby haha I think she does a really great job talking about serious topics under the guise of childhood shit haha. Anyyyyyways, what I really wanted to say is that I LOVE your content. All of it! I watched your video on the godfather too and I just loved how you sorta like analyzed themes of the movie, while also talking about how it really wasn't intentional haha. What I'm trying to say is, make the stuff you want to. I know you said that these album videos are your favorite, but fr don't feel like you only gotta make these if you get burnt out haha. Ik I said this already, but you just seem to be a super smart guy and I just really like what you gotta say haha :P Alr that's all I gotta say haha, I really like your shit and I know that you'll make it one day bro, these videos are real high quality haha! Just gotta wait for your big break! Anyway keep up the good work man!
Thank you soooo much for this lovely comment! I will say this: there's miiiight be a Kanye vid coming down the pipeline sometime soon ;) As for Damn, it's such a divisive album that I honestly would love to conduct an analysis on it at some point--that's actually a really good idea. I'm really eager to aim this channel in a more musically oriented direction. I wish you a lovely day :)
I was so startled when i saw you only have 5k subscribers (as of me watching this video). your videos have so much effort and detail put into them and you definitely deserve more recognition.
I’ve come to the conclusion the opposite of Flower Boy is Ocean Man. Therefore Ween’s the Mollusk is the direct counter to Tyler’s Flower Boy. Well more of Flower Boy is the counter to The Mollusk. I made that shit comepletely out of my ass but I’m gonna make that shit work
I firstly want to say that tyler is probably bisexual, as he also talks about having relations etc. with women on CMIYGL. In the music video of wilshire (or sweet/ITYWTD I can't remember) he is also seen with a woman that he seems to be in love with/have a relationship. I also think that Enjoy Right Now Today, could relate to him being worried about the future and about so many things at the start of the album and because this right now could just be your november. I also think that tyler not saying anything on this song is because he doesn't want you to listen to him, but rather to yourself. He wants you to take time to stop worrying and thinking about stuff, but just enjoying the moment, right now, today.
dont forget that "November Has Come" is a DOOM feature track (one of Tyler's favorite rappers), which is about after halloween, a day where people wear costumes.
wow a lot of work for this vid. my first thought about "how much road could they pave till I run in the ocean" was him buying himself things like when will it be enough to fill this missing part of me
My interpretation of who dat boy: It's a prediction of how his old, bastard - wolf era fans would see his coming out, and is they would view him as a new person ("Who dat boy, who him is"). The sonic similarities to his goblin-era work being one last embrace of that era of his life before he takes the risk of publicly coming out and losing those fans
Your videos are so great! You deserve much more views and subs. 1 thing, I think Tyler is bisexual. CMIYGL is about a woman and I think he's dating Reign Judge. I personally think he was gay 2017 but then went bisexual, because he basically says on this album that he isn't interested in women. Some Rap Songs / Atrocity Exhibition next?
Heyo! Glad you enjoyed the vid. I mentioned this in a comment below, but I'm more so looking at the way Tyler presents himself in this album specifically. The character of Tyler Baudelaire (from CMIYGL) is at least interested in women, if that's the character speaking, or Tyler himself. All I know is that "I was never into the beaches" is communicating something very specific, if you know what I'm saying ;) That said, I should have made it clearer in the vid that I wasn't talking about Tyler's actual sexuality, but merely how he's presenting his sexuality in Flower Boy, which can technically be two different things. Ima pin some version of this as comment for this video just so I can clear that up for other people. Have a good one!
@@themanicpineapple8772ey, in Sorry Not Sorry, Flower Boy states that he’s, “Sorry to the girls I had to lie to, who didn’t need to know if I was BI the lakes, switching tides too” so I think that’s ha pretty strong admission to him being bisexual. As someone who is bisexual, I think it’s super cool to have a strong bisexual presence in rap.

One of the best breakdowns I’ve seen on Flowerboy. Only issue I have with it is that Tyler is bi or something in that vein. I don’t know if he’s put a label on his sexuality but he talks abt being in love with a girl on cmiygl (Wilshire specifically)
On I ain’t got time when he says “all smiles over here shout out to the garden” I’m pretty sure he’s shouting out The Garden which is the band that made the song all smiles over here
Thanks for the praise :) I've got some ideas, but if the fans push for certain albums, I'll be inclined to check em out (that's what got me into Taboo, and I made a whole video on that)
@@vscondones This one's tough. I've had so many requests for that album in particular, but so much incredible work has been done on TPab already, so much so that I'm frankly not sure what else I'd be able to add to the discourse. I'm still thinking about it TBH, but I'm leaning more toward other projects
Am I the only who thinks the album can also be about unpacking trauma in general? Like I don’t know how other people feel about that interpretation so I’m tryna see
I disagree with your view that Who Dat Boy is a filler track. The 1st verse and A$AP's lines aren't really related to the album, but the second verse connects to both his fantasy lover (saying he's looking for "95 Leo", showing that his true love is stuck in mind, resembling a famous actor more than any person he knows personally) and his work pains (admitting that his mother is worried about his health and with him near starving himself, a theme that comes up in Bordem). The whole song also references his fear of becoming an irrelevant oddity in the music industry (another big theme in the album) and ends with a lead in to Pothole, confirming that WDB through Garden Shed take place in the same time period. The only song on the album that can even be considered filler is Droppin' Seeds, and I wholeheartedly defend that track, 'cause whenever lil Wayne raps over tyler beats, it's always a banger 🔥.
