I love my city so much. Growing up here all you saw was concrete and dry grass. Now it’s the greenest city in the country and one of the most in the world. Sweet home Chicago. 💚
What a truly magical place! The giant espalier on the wall, the humming bird cameo, the gnarled tree you could walk under, I coul go on and on. Thank you so much for taking us along! By the way, the music was perfect! 🎶🎵 Zone 3 Manitoba 🇨🇦👏🍁
My favorite Chicago gardens! I can’t believe how quiet CBG was for you. How special! You have to come back each season and see how different it is. Such a treat!
All my old stomping grounds! I will be flying out to Chicago in October to visit my sister. She lives near the Temple B'nai B'rith (we walk along the Lake Michigan shoreline across the street with her dog). I have put in my order for deep dish pizza on my first night there! What a wonderful trip you had,
I grew up and live in the Chicago area. We’re blessed with so many beautiful plant-filled spaces: Morton Arboretum, Chicago Botanic Garden, Garfield Park Conservatory, Lincoln Park Conservatory, Oak Park Conservatory, the whole lakefront (which is almost 100% accessible to the public), tons of parks and preserves in the city and collar counties, so many interesting plant shops and nurseries, etc. Glad you came to visit!
Had a tough couple of weeks in Southwest Virginia due to storm and floods. Just seeing this video today 10/10. Really needed this one with the beautiful gardens, greenery and flower, perfect music, and the dreams of a mature garden! The rock garden was intriguing! Thank you very much for sharing. It gave me a restful peaceful heart. 😍🥰
@@growformegardening Thank you! We live on a knoll so was thankful to only loose some trees. In our community, we lost several businesses, some roads compromised, and several friends lost everything ranging from floods above the floors, several with water to roof line, and two with homes swept away not including folks we don't know who lived in the next town or not sure what was previously there. Gardening is my happy place so I am very grateful you are online. And like the old Calgon commercial, you help "take me away!"
Good morning🌞 thanks for the glorious start of a new day, stunning vistas and quite the collection of magnificent plant material, I must visit that botanical garden , have a wonderful weekend, it has been raining here in Northern Virginia for six straight days, no opportunity for gardening.
It's nice to see several different styles of gardens in one place. Thanks for taking us with you. I've decided that I prefer the mostly evergreens/grass gardens with just a few blooming scrubs. Seems like they would be less maintenance and pretty year round.
Wow, great video and beautiful garden. Will definitely add this to the list of destinations to visit when in the Chicago area. I like the outdoor shelf with the potted flowers…
What a wonderful visual tour of select Chicago area iconic gardens! I haven’t made it to any of those locations this year, so thank you! Love the beautiful and peaceful video!
Thank You for starting my Saturday with such a wonderful trip. I was amazed how beautiful everything still looked. Every area in that garden was my favorite. Well.... maybe the flagstone pool is at the top! That was an Amazing video. Missed hearing your voices, but sometimes it is just nice to gaze at all the vistas. Have a flowerific weekend! Lynn from Ohio🥰
I wish I knew you were visiting Chicago! Just a short drive and you could have visited Anderson Japanese Gardens in Rockford, Illinois. It's absolutely magnificent! Maybe next time!
You're in my neck of the woods! I hope Chicago treated you well x Next time you are in town check out Cantigny park, gorgeous garden with a great history.
Wonderful filming and photography! Especially loved the footage of the humming bird and the focus on structure. It’s amazing how quickly you two have become experts on all aspects of creating a channel in such a short amount of time - design, content, presentation…you are naturals at this…which is a gift! I live directly across the lake from Chicago on the Michigan side. When the conditions are right we can sometimes see the Chicago skyline. Now I am asking myself…why have I not yet been to the botanical gardens?? Thanks for the inspiration! It’s on my list now!
I hope you didn’t get nailed in the back of the head by the red-winged blackbird at the entrance to the Chicago Botanic garden like I did in June! 😅 Isn’t it just spectacular??
Thanks guys for taking us to Chicago! So fun!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Excellent photography, just the right pace to take in all the beauty. I love it. Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it

You need to go to Lincoln Park Zoo, Lincoln Park & Garfield Conservatories and Montrose bird sanctuary to appreciate more greenery.
Next time!!
