Your garden is absolutely gorgeous and manicured. 👍🏽
Thank you so much!
Thank you for the tour. I can't wait to see all the hydrangeas in bloom. Love the drone footage.
Thanks!
Amazing how much comes alive in the garden in just a few weeks. So wonderful to see your garden in spring this year. As always love you both trading time, naming all the plants and popping some names on the screen. You add inspiration every time, both love and despise you for it.😉
Thanks so much
The garden will only get better and better as the weeks go by. Do you know how many hydrangeas you have?
We are over 150!
@@growformegardening holy smokes!
Looks beautiful. We just bought a house last August. Empty rocky clay land. Omg where to start gardening , very daunting task. Your video is very encouraging n hope i will get an inspiration to keep going. Thanks for sharing
You can do it! If you go back to some of our early videos last year you can see how far things have come in just a year. We started on a half acre sand lot!
Just beautiful. Wonderful job you guys did.
Thank you so much!
Gorgeous
Thank you
I could watch new garden tour videos of your garden every day and never get bored! Can you do another video with more closeup views of the plants? Thanks!!
I think that will be the goal for our next check in video...so much is starting to bloom!
We have many of the same Hydrangeas (Pinky Winky, Strawberry Vanilla, Wee White, etc) in the same zone as you (we're in west suburban Chicago) but yours are so much thicker/larger than ours of the same age. Ours aren't on drip watering - the huge difference!
It really does change things
Today was interesting. I listen to your videos through my hearing aids. This time Christopher was in one ear and Eric was in the other ear. Weird😊
Oh gosh. The microphones we use are recording in stereo. I don’t have the technical skills to adjust it in the “post production”
@@growformegardening it’s ok. It was just weird. Never happened before!
I am going to keep learning and get it all situated
beautiful where the rose arbor from?
www.gardeners.com/grow-for-me/gothic-arch
thanks, Is it solar lights on these, and how to connected these on arch?
Oh I have a light string on an extension cord
Hey guys, such lovely FULL gardens! 💗 Wanted to share a tip I saw about spray painting the spent heads of Alliums 🪻 I know how it sounds but with a light hand & from a distance, who's gonna know? Lol Might be worth a try(:
We saw some this past weekend that were a pale blue, had no idea idea! We thought they were a special variety. We may need to try this
Your gorgeous landscaping and tasteful design has probably added $50,000-$100,000 to the value of your home.
Well that’s awesome
Stunning - just stunning!! It’s absolutely amazing what you have accomplished in 6 years. Perfection❤
Thank you! Cheers!
What a great way to start the day. Got my morning coffee and a watching a tour of heaven on earth! Thank you gentlemen
Our pleasure!
I am watching your May garden tour for a second time today, and I am in awe of its beauty! Your passion for gardening and the professional and fun way that you guide the viewer's eyes through your landscape make the experience even more pleasant! Thank you for sharing the names of the plants in your garden as well!! I will await your next tour with bated breath!
That is wonderful to hear. Thank you!
Really, what can you say? Its gorgeous ! The things dreams are made of. Thank you so very much for taking us along. I know editing such a long video can be tedious! Thanks so much for the effort!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏. We love you guys! 😊😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
I'm starting to get a little quicker at it, but this was a long one!!
By far you both are my favorite UA-camrs when it comes to flowers and trees and shrubs... the design just beautiful.. all your plants gets a full love from you both.. so much to see all over your property.. different varieties... which I love so much.... I love seeing you both all the time. Like every day... Like every 3 days. 😅😅❤.. and also you both are good looking couple 😊.
Thanks so much 😊
This is my favorite gardening channel also. I like how they film . A lot of youtubers speed up the videos when they plant. This channel doesn't speed up. The videos are very relaxing to watch
@@Birdhouselady I appreciate that. I'm trying to mix it up a little as I learn to edit. We recently purchased new microphones and camera so there have been some silly glitches!
Can’t wait to watch this video, we just had an EF 2 tornado rip through our town. We lost many trees and of course the birds are gone. We still do not have Internet, but we are blessed to have power. Hard to think about gardening right now.
I'm so glad that you are safe
Always seem to walk away from your garden tours on the hunt for new plants. This time it’s a Strawberry Vanilla Hydrangea. I love all the colors and textures throughout your garden. We just got a Flamethrower Red Bud the coloring is gorgeous. We moved into our home also in 2018, and been playing in the dirt since. Limited to local nursery’s in our area rural south central PA. But at 66 we both are enjoying the gift of our gardens and going on the hunt over the mountain. Thank you for sharing your garden and giving inspiration.
Flamethrower is so cool! I’m so happy you discovering new plants with us
Beautiful guys, your garden should be in a magazine, GREAT JOB 🌹♥️
Maybe one day!
8:33 someone is watching your tour 😺 so cute! Stunning gardens, just beautiful 💚
Isn't he the sweetest?
Hi Eric and Christopher! Everything is so gorgeous. I would be interested in knowing what variety of New Gen boxwood you have. I am 5b/6a like yourselves and just planted 2 New Gen boxwood independence. They are a bit pricey so trying see what others experiences are with this new variety. Have a great garden week!
This is a very good question. I know there are two options but I really don’t know which it is! It looks great but when I was planting those bidens it smelled terrible!
I get so excited and filled with joy when I watch your content. I am inspired to make new beds, edge and create our own little slice of paradise. My teen daughter is getting into gardening because of your channel. Thanks for your talent and knowledge.
That is fantastic!
Enjoy the podcast. Found you a few months ago. You should try the "Heavy-Duty Aluminum Hose Guide" from Gardeners Supply to protect that cute tiny Quick Fire Hydrangea from getting clobbered by the hose. I have a few of them placed strategically and it protects the plants very well. I may have to have one of those eucalyptus looking honeysuckle plants.
I'm on the lookout for them!
The most beautiful yard!! How do you guys remember all the flower names!!
👍🏽🌸🌻🌺
haha they are stuck in my head!
I have FairyTrail Bride in several pots and I'm in zone 7B. It is glorious cascading over the edge of an urn! I would highly recommend you try to see if that will be hearty for you in your zone. It would fit in beautifully with your collection of hydrangeas.
I hope we can keep them there. It might be a matter of potting them up for winter and bringing them inside
Hi guys I was watching your edging video from 7 months ago great job by the way. What type of edger did you use to keep the rocks from getting into your compost? I have that problem where the rocks/stones keep getting into our mulch and it looks messy. Do you have a video how you did it? Thank you.
The electric edger is from Ego. It definitely kicks rocks so I try to take care of most of the rocks when I initially dig the edge.
@@growformegardening I’m sorry I meant the edging that looks like metal between yr rocks against the house and yr compost. Thank you
@@deniseb7013 Oh! That is a pretty standard black metal the landscaping company installed when the patio went it. I think it's about 3-4" high
@@growformegardening ok they do have metal edging with spikes to get it into the ground that people use to keep grass out of beds. Maybe I’ll try that. Thank you so much. 😊
That's not a bad idea. This is laid out in trenches and then big spikes get nailed in
Great video! Would love to tour the garden in full prime, up close and personel ! Lovely. Let's dance skyview realky came back, it took a hard hit. It's looking good already. Thanks for sharing. Really enjoyed the video. Lovin the spring garden.
It's so hard to take it all in on screen. We are trying to do more wide shots to give perspective
Love your channel. Quickly has become one of my favorites. You have a beautiful garden. I have done a little gardening for many years, but it has become my obsession over the past 5 years. I live in Westchester, NY. I wish we NY gardeners could get together to share our passion. Love all the Rue plants that you shared in this garden tour. Where did you purchase them? Keep your videos coming.❤
They have been picked up at garden centers all over. They aren't a common plant to find so whenever I see one I grab it. I just found a new one last weekend!
I love your garden so colorful and manicured, I would love to see the inside of your home I bet it is just as beautiful as your garden maybe in the near future we can see it.
Maybe one day!
Your garden just keeps getting more gorgeous and lush! Amazing what you two have accomplished in just 6 years. About that tiny hydrangea that was almost taken out by the hose - how about hose guards from Gardeners Supply?!
We are going to be headed there soon so I will be on the lookout!!
I’ve always wondered what the little “wire house “ is in the bed behind the patio?😊
That is a Crop Coop. When we started some corn in the ground it kept the bunnies away. Now it's sort of a decoration at the moment.
Love watching you guys! Thanks for inspiring me to get in my garden 😊
Our pleasure!
You can add another gorgeous to your count from me! Every time I see the Troemner spruce I think I really need to find one of those for my garden.
Definitely a favorite
WoW 🤩 so gorgeous,i love your garden 👌 thanks for sharing you guys have a very good taste for colors💐
Thank you!
You guys inspire me to plant more of what I love. I'm always intimidated by the 'mature size' of shrubs and limit myself to smaller sizes, but watching your videos makes me realize I can prune/pollard/copice to keep size in check. Thanks for sharing your gardens, I enjoy watching you!
Yes you can!
Hi guys, I’m a new subscriber this summer. Randomly found you and love your content!! Just curious what industry are you both in? I’m a graphic designer. Thanks again for sharing your garden and fab style! ❤❤❤
Welcome! Thank you for visiting.
Wow! Your garden is gorgeous and humongous! OMG! I just can’t get over how beautiful it looks. I wish I could have a garden like that! Love it 🥰 🥰🥰🥰 Your new subscriber from the southern part of USA 😊
Welcome!
Love your garden tours!! They are such a treat and how I discovered your channel a few months ago. Now I follow you on both of my channels to make sure I don’t miss anything😂
I also want to thank you both for including the names. It’s really helpful when getting flower ideas for my newbie garden. I know it takes extra effort so I want to shout that out.
It does take a little work but I'm happy to do it
Really enjoy your videos! Your gardens look amazing. Do you keep records of what plant you buy and where you put it in your garden? Basically, do you have a method of keeping inventory of your flowers? Would love to learn. TFS 💙🌸
We actually started taking pictures and posting to Instagram a few years ago in part to document the garden...which ultimately led to us being here!
Your garden is beautiful!!!! I fell in love with the honeysuckle and I'm searching for one to put in my place. Be careful with the castor bean. Ricin comes from this plant. If any parts of it are ingested you've got serious problems. I had a dog that chewed on some of the seeds and almost died, she was in the ER for a week. But the plant grows huge and is beautiful. I love that you show the name of each plant of the screen. Keep it up guys. You are an inspiration. Thank you.
Thank you! I have only handled the castor bean with gloves on and there won’t be dogs or children near it!
Wow! Your garden is absolutely amazing! It is beautiful beyond words! Thank you for the May tour! ❤
Thank you so much!
Your garden is so inspiring! I’ve made my shopping list 😂 Thank you 😊
That's great!
Dd you break the rules and plant right up against the electrical box 😱🤣! Or maybe the rules are different for you-I’m in PA and have to plant 4 feet away.
Ooh I don’t think we have a rule
Good morning😃my favorite way to start my day, stunning, everything is absolutely beautiful, have a great gardening weekend🌞
Thank you! You too!
Thanks for the tour guys. My Purple Sensation and Ambassador alliums bloomed before my Gladiators which are still in the bud stage. Bonny
Isn’t that funny, we are out of order!
Your gardens are totally amazing and gorgeous! Thank you for sharing all your beautiful varieties of annual plants, bulbs, shrubs, perennials, trees and garden decor! Loved the very informative tour!
Thank you so much!
Love your channel, where can I buy the Litchfield Urns you mentioned or can you let me now the brand? We are in Boise, Idaho and very close to Laura from Garden Answer as well. I love seeing what is thriving in your very cold region.
In the description you will see links to the different urns!
Hi, gentlemen! I always enjoy our garden tours. Can you please tell me where you purchased your pampas grass? Thank you in advance!!
Oh gosh…that’s a tough one. It was really tiny, I bet it came home from a trip to Great Barrington or Burlington
I love your plant and tree choices and additionally really love the shapes and placement of your garden beds. Such a beautiful flow throughout the transitions from front to side to rear gardens. Very well composed. 💕
So nice of you
I love your garden tours and the beginning drone view is breathtaking! Thank you for the inspiration. 💜💜💜
That’s so nice to hear
Love you guys! Your gardens are beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much!
I grew castor bean from seed a few years ago (Southeast Michigan zone 6a). It grew over 8 feet by the end of the summer. It was a beast - and the bees loved it!
I can't wait to see it grow!
My granddaughter a national merit scholar will be attending RPI in upstate New York thisfall
That’s great!
Your garden is amazing. I am constantly fighting insect damage in my garden. Yours does not seem to have any. Do you use some type of preventative measures?
We do some spraying with captain jacks dead bug brew
What a beautiful May garden tour. You have created a garden that has taken a lot of thought and imagination. I would love to have such talent. Thanks.
So nice of you
Is it bad that I watched this twice? lol How are you finding the flavorette honey apricot rose, they are available in my garden centre right now!
PHENOMINAL. Healthy. Vibrant. Yes you can taste them too. A big win I would say
Your garden is absolutely stunning!! Thank you so much for the tour, I loved every bit of it!
Glad you enjoyed it!
What an amazing garden.I love your videos.❤
Greetings from Austria!
Thank you!
“Hopefully you’ll enjoy it!” What? Are you kidding me?? I’m absolutely in love with your garden and both of you guys!!! I rarely watch regular tv anymore! Love UA-cam garden videos and cross stitching! Two of my faves! And your garden videos, reels, etc are at the top of my list!! Best of the best!!
Thanks for sharing your garden, your knowledge, and your wonderful personalities with us!! Much appreciated ❤
You are too kind!
You guys have the most beautiful garden and exquisite taste! I love you two!💚💚💚
Thank you so much!
Great tour of your beautiful garden!! Enjoy watching you guys - Keep it up!!
Thanks!
What is the lime green plant @ 1:02:13??
That is a Sun King Aralia
Would love to see another tour when the flowers bloom! Have you looked into providing a bee hive to help pollinate the garden?
We have an incredible assortment of bees. It is so much fun to watch them.
You have done a wonderful job making the garden beautiful!
Thank you so much!
I think the way you’ve done the willow is really cool! I think the garden is nicely done.
Thank you so much!
Very nice guys you still have my favorite garden!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Aww thanks
How do you keep your edge of your beds so sharp looking. Do you weed wack the grass everytime you mow?
Once a week I run the electric edger after Eric mows the lawn
Luv your garden this year
Thanks!
I love these guys, theyre so sweet loving gardening.Nice Garden.
Why thank you!
Just beautiful the garden is coming in to it’s own I loved all of it thanks for sharing 😊
Thank you so much 😊
Love your garden!! Where did you get the planters on the patio? They look lovely!
Those planters are by Tucso. We have them in our Amazon store, link in the description!
Outstanding!!! How did you guys get so talented!! I love my Nepata.
Haha. Thanks
I vote for putting poofs under the outdoor sitting area. There's some awesome ones at Costco right now! How long did it take for your purple pillar ROS to get that tall? I just planted one and it's about 2 feet tall so far.
I’m not even kidding you…we have Costco poofs under the window right now! The rose of Sharon grows pretty quick. Ours started about 4 feet two years ago
That's CRAZY 🤣
Hey talented guys!! I need your advice please. I live in Louisiana zone 8...hot,humid, mild rain(if not a hurricane) I love the hydrangeas...especially the lime and white colors (my favorite color is red...but not sure there is one availa le) i would like a hydrangea that is:
3ft or smaller, blooms on new wood and can be trimmed, doesnt burn in the sun or tuen ugly brown.
Thanks for any suggestions.
Also should i plant ow before frost or wait til spring? ❤you guys!
Sorry one more question....what is the best perennial climber for a pergola?
Well that is definitely a rough climate for a hydrangea but I would suggest trying Bobo or Puffer Fish! Plant in the fall so it wakes up in its new home
ooh go for clematis!
I am going to unapologetically copy your garden design. Love love love it😍
Absolutely!
I appreciate you adding the plant names on screen. Stunning gardens!
Glad you like them!
Impressed with y'alls plant identification skills. 👍
practice practice!
You guys are so talented this garden is Beautiful! absolutely Beautiful!
Thanks for visiting!
I love your garden ❤
Thanks!
Your property is stunning!
Thanks!
Do you have any problems with deer eating the green giant arborvitaes?
They haven't touched them!
So happy I found your channel! Love your garden and it will be my inspiration for planting my new construction home gardens! There are Limelight’s and Primes at the Hewitt’s in Wilton on Rte. 9!
Hewitts has been doing a great job lately
@@growformegardening agreed! Just picked up some PW perennials I’ve been hunting for
@@juliedry8942 great!!!
Does Christopher have a great memory or holding the list 😂
No list!
For your next tour; when talking about the trees closer to your house/foundation…could you mention how many feet away you planted them from your house? I know it might be a big ask…but figured I’d throw it out there. It’s the thing that makes me the most nervous, when planting.
I think we should mention that now and then. We do get a lot of concerned comments. That stone drip line is deeper than it looks on camera I think
@@growformegardening oh I trust you guys know what you’re doing…it’s more for more my knowledge. I love how trees near the house look. I just want to make sure I’m spacing things properly. Essentially, I’m biting your style sis!
