People take it for granted. Looking at this vid, the camera person is doing great 👍🏻 Pans, tilts, dolly zoom... loads of stuff. I never have time to do much. YT is a good archive for me. Thanks for the vid. Sounded fine 😅 Good to see all the controls in depth. Hopefully a bit of software wizardry could sort the screen portion size - just have an option to see the speedo and maybe fuel gauge & map - leave the rest as a selectable option? There’ll be many developments in time no doubt

I have to agree - some basic instruments on maybe a slightly bigger screen directly in front of the driver - like Digital speed - basic fuel quantity - A simple trip meter - and all the warning lights it now has - this should be the default screen if the main software dies - base failure mode
Absolutely.
There should be a speedo right smack in front. No excuse not to have something so basic front and center.
It's called attitude because it displays the vehicle attitude. Pitch and roll is attitude. It also shows your altitude.
Can you turn off the bluetooth? Like its not always on
I doubt if a long journey will make the Start / Stop improve any more than just putting the battery on charge.
Thanks mate. I heard some talk about the screen brightness at night. Any thoughts ? What is that little plastic thing it’s not a speedo. You think should be head up display if no Speedo in middle. Ratcliff seem like a tight ass. Charges 100k for car with minimal everything and lots of plastics.
The screen behind the wheel shows lights, indicators and warnings. A head up display would have been the ideal solution. Not driven it at night yet. Will report back when I do.

Yes.
does the cruise control also have a speed limiter?
No, on a slope the car will accelerate to higher than the set speed; only the throttle is automatic. Bear in mind that the considerable air resistance will slow the vehicle quite a bit anyway. I tend to use the cruise control a lot on motorway speed restrictions.

Is there wireless CarPlay and/or wireless charging?
Mine has Wireless careplay. Mine doesn’t have wireless charging. Not sure if that’s an option.
It has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto; both work well. No wireless charging, (and as I have older 'phones, I don't care).
Please keep us updated on all reliability issues! I am considering converting my reservation into an order.

How do you know what temperature you’ve set on the climate control? Does it come up on the screen when you change it or do you just have to guess where, say, 20°C actually is on the dial? I assume it actually is a proper climate control system based on the existence of the auto button (plus the Grenadier isn’t exactly cheap… 😅)
When you change the temperature, the dash shows the set temperature as a bar graph towards the top of the display. It is single zone climate control.

I have been looking forward to reports on the Ineos, I have yet to drive one. I am a little disappointed from what I have watched, I love the simplicity of the switches, the tiny speedo in the centre would annoy me, is it duplicated in the small display panel? if not I would be sticking my Snooper or Road Angel on the screen, which defeats the clear view intention! The fuel consumption is very poor, at least for the diesel version. As a replacement for the old Defender I am sure its great, but compared with the new Defender at a similar cost, I feel its going to struggle.
No extra speedo. I completely agree. At £70k the new defender is a lot more comfortable and economical than the ineos. I do like it because at the moment it’s rare where as in my town I would see 10 new defenders if I drove round the block.
It’s a great car to own and drive long distance - consumption far better than the original g class AND petrol performance is actually surprising

Saw this compared to the New Discovery. One has a brilliant un jolting ride the other completely hopeless ( the Grenadier)!
I can’t believe it doesn’t have “HomeLink”. Every car has that. The 3 buttons, usually on the mirror to open garage doors.
And of course it should have a mirror on the visor. Even hard core off road people need it. Get something in your eye or bite your lip for example. You need a mirror. Good grief Ineos!!
Start-Stop function is absolute horseshit. There is no demonstrable fuel savings for the owners of vehicles with this garbage.
Jim Ratcliffe (Ineos) is one of the biggest environmental villains, wanting to frack everywhere so he can buy cheaper oil to make even more single use plastic with in his factories. For this reason I would never buy one of these or even want to ride in one.
Great don't buy one! We don't want your sort tarnishing the legendary Grenadier reputation.

The doors and floor leak.
The seats won't fold flat for sleeping/ caming/ hauling.
The rear doors are only appealing to Brits and othe issues.
It's a pretty mess of a car,I really can't see anyone swapping their defender for one these
