Fantastic to see this - many thanks for posting. I remember seeing Tommy on two occasions at Pedmore Cricket Club. He had the whole place rolling with laughter. He had the perfect act for a small packed venue.
As a musical director I worked with Tommy in panto two years running at the Wolverhampton Grand theatre in the early 1990s. In the first of those shows the producers had the good sense to allow him to be what he was - a comic. But then they decided he should play a character role in the panto side of things; completely wrong for him and he was cruelly written out after a week or so. It wasn't his fault at all. I drove him to and from the gig when his car was stolen. I only lived down the road from him back then. That's another matter of course, as is the fact that his wife/widow used to play bridge at the same club as me. That's all a long time ago. But he was a lovely man, and perhaps typical of so many in showbiz, the stage was where he could relax and be confident; he did tell me that away from that he didn't know what to say to people.
@@tessadog500 : Thanks for the reply, I spoke with him briefly at the bar at one of the clubs, nice guy and very funny, I did have a cassette tape of him but I've lost it ☹️, I check on here now and then to see if there are any videos but nothing yet, nice coincidence with your wife's name.
I was fortunate to have seen Tommy and once seen never forgotten.

I went to see him once - very funny. "If you'm over 55 and you wake up one morning with no aches and pains ... you'm jed".

You don't happen to have any Tony Palmer ?
