I am in Cincinnati Ohio but have friends who lived at the Villages but eventually moved back home to Indiana. I often wonder if life in the villages is as “nice and peaceful and affordable “ as portrayed. Other relatives live in Davenport and Green Cove Springs. They all say to forget moving to the Villages because of traffic nightmares and over crowding and expense. What are your experiences??
It is relatively peaceful, however when the snowbirds return there is tremendous traffic. There are many different sports and clubs, however since it’s very far from the nearest big city, such as Orlando, any museums or other things to do at least an hour and a half for Orlando or more in heavy traffic.

Yes, I noticed, I wasn't sure if TV torn.it down as they are renovating the entire dock

I like it here, amenity fees are reasonable, traffic isn't too bad, almost never flooding here

In the summer, when the snowbirds are gone, many of the clubs don’t have meetings anymore
