- A 16-year-old Owasso High School student died on Feb. 8, and police are working to learn what happened.
On Feb. 15, Sue Benedict confirmed her daughter, Dagny Benedict, was the victim.

I went to Owasso highschool, I graduated from there in 2021. My sister is currently a senior there right now. This wasn't a fight. They fucking jumped her. A bunch of seniors jumped a sophomore. This school has taken too many lives, and it makes no sense, its in the middle of suburbia. Rest in peace Madison Reedy, Rest in peace Shae, rest in peace Nex.
OHS is 100% covering this up and they have the resources and connections to do so. This needs to be national. This is not okay. A teacher witnessed it and DID NOT report it.
Want to mention the students' text messages to a family member saying they threw water on the 3 girls when answering why they were jumped? Or the part where they self described their injuries as "scrapes and bruises"? Or are we just going to get our pitchforks now before an official report is released?

@missmochiicecream Nothing is wrong with me. Just saying information that has been released. Go up to someone and throw water in their face and see what happens. Some would brush it off, some won't. The text messages inform us that Nex knew what caused the girls to attack them that day. And that adults at the school and hospitals missed something for Nex to describe their injuries as just scrapes and bruises. What is wrong with this tragedy is that the media didn't give a d@mn until it was released that the student was nonbinary. They didn't care a student died until it fit their greedy, headline pushing narrative. Was local news a couple days after it happened but didn't go national news until 2 weeks later, a day after the mother did an interview because no one cared enough yet. Might think about that for a bit, then start asking what is wrong with people.

This isn't a case of you "reap what you sow". There were other victims too, only this poor kid died for retaliating.

At Wilmington high school. She passed away from injuries. I prayed the family gets justice and do their research on other school bullying fights within the bathroom schools have to be held accountable for students actions occurring on property.

It's being reported that they passed the day after the school fight. Why weren't they taken to the hospital the day of, after school? Either that report is a lie or something else happened the next day, still likely related to the fight such as self harm. Either way, the school fight and the school needs to be investigated. This could have been prevented by having single stall, non gendered bathrooms. The reason that they had to use the girls bathroom was because of the law that transgender people have to use the bathroom that matches their sex at birth.
