sell out, I understand you wanna make money from advertising for them or whatever but if you cared for your audience you shouldn't be pushing this scam. but great work man God bless you and your family
@@ИгорьПп-в8зscam? Most expensive option is 500/month. That's nothing for a decently run company
Arlo did an amazing job with the bevels on the ends of the beams!
exactly, it's like a gemstone
Skills.
I’ve only been able to do those as precisely with a miter saw and a stop block.
Arlo’s got some skills for sure.
Arlo's knowledge and skills always amazes me.
I wish we could have seen some video of him doing it
I really like how y'all enjoy each other's company & laugh together!
Hey thanks!
Arlo is the factory cut.
Watching you guys build has given me a false sense of confidence in my own abilities
They do make everything look so easy!
HEY! I resemble that remark...!
They do make it look much easier than I'm sure it is!
I worked in construction off/on for 15yrs, I miss just hanging with your coworkers and having a drink and laughs!
Jono's belly laugh at the end could cure cancer!
one of the things i enjoy most is listening to Jaime explain stuff
Been watching y'all forever...
I've said it before... I'm sure before it's all said and done I'll say it again...
I've worked construction the majority of my 66 years... from starting at the bottom, up to a Superintendent on multi million dollar projects...
Seeing the friendship, the fun and just how well y'all work as a team is probably one of the best things there are...
Y'all truly make it look like fun... even on days that may suck...
Add in the scenery you have accomplished making this old guy jealous!!!
Keep doing what you're doing... we'll keep watching!!!
I have never been in construction but I really want to be 😊 I will just sit and watch .
The home owner is lucky to have you guys. It’s like the Allstate commercial, your in good hands with the Perkins builder crew. Excellent job on the timber framing guys.👍
The homeowner absolutely agrees!
I would be living life if I were the homeowner right about now, just to be apart of this build
Would be amazing ❤❤❤you all are the best!
@@Catherineann413 - I am living a great life being involved in the build.
nice job on the bevels Arlo!
Timberframed and joined is how houses are built here traditionally in my area of germany. Usually sandstone rubble first floors as a basement (digging holes is/was expensive) and then timber framing on top. It's rarely done nowadays but a lot of these houses are still standing from centuries ago, only around the time between the two worlds wars (ordinary) people started building with brick when mass production of bricks ramped up and made it a lot cheaper than having entire oaks as beams in your homes.
It's coming back more and more now, including plastering and building with clay since it's great for room climate and allows the houses to breathe properly. Seeing the insane energy cost of concrete production and the amount of chemicals used for modern building people want to go back to traditional ways of doing things, although it's a lot pricier than building "normally". On the other hand you just built a home your great-grandchildren could still live in with some minor renovation if you built the traditional way. ( I think that's a lifestyle kind of thing though, I believe the average american moves 12 times in their lives while the average european moves 2 times in their lives)
I think building in europe and the U.S. will start to change in the next decades to come as a lot of these increased prices are artificial (looking at timber prices during covid it seemed like the wood industry wanted a piece of the cake as well more than anything really) anyways.
Love your videos though, always good vibes with the crew :)
This house is going to be amazing. Nice job Perkins Crew.
17:40 That is some slick bevel cutting Arlo did on the post ends, on yah Arlo you the man.
Happy Sunday y’all
Same to you!
Jamie is a blessing to the crew. You need a person who concentrates on the details. He is a good sport with all the digs.
I like the un-measured eye-crometer methods that work out.
The timber framing looks awesome! Arlo the master beveler!😊
I wish your videos were longer because as soon as you are enjoying it, it finished. I love watching you guys still because it's never a dull moment.
Big fan of you all guyzzzz from Bangladesh 🇧🇩🇧🇩
Hearty Love for all of you ❤️
That is awesome!
there’s something appropriate about jay plugging his channel in a portajohn…good fitment!
Another great build. Yes, stick-building a house (i.e., using all timbers, etc.) is quite expensive. It's good to see JohnO coming out of his shell a bit. I've noticed that lately. It's like he's finally comfortable with being on-camera.
I like the postbracket. Looks like a 'halsgevel'. A typical Amsterdam street building.
Gold star for ‘Fitment’! It’s a word!
I’m watching from St Andrew Jamaica 🇯🇲 and I am a woman who enjoys all the videos
Yeah, I don't know who's using more recent footage in their videos, but watching someone cut bird's mouths into the timbers immediately made me think of the hilarious results Jason got from trying to cut bird's mouths into the rafters of his shop addition project. Shout out to Jono for rolling up to him right when he needed him and saving him.
The bevel ends look great; nice job.
As mad as a box of frogs boys but what a team what a show encore encore nice work Arlo crack on
Dang!!! That is one big Daddy Long Leg watching you build (3:12). You grow'em big out there😅.
Freaking love jays plug to his channel!!!! 😂
Nothing better than a couple of beer 🍻 after work 😂😂🙌🙌
The first time hearing Stubbs complain about nubs,
Arlo did an awesome job on those bevels.
Great video
BCO and Cardinal Coffee rock. Two of my favorite places.
❤GREAT VIDEO❤Have a good day
And the award for Best Music Choice in a video goes to....Perkins Builder Brothers!!
I wrote to this channel because in 3 days I learned a lot watching you work, although here in Brazil we build houses in different ways I still like how you do it in America...big hug to the whole team.
My favorite days of the week: Thursday and Sunday when a new PBB video drops. I also like every-other Saturday when the Sampson Boat Company drops a video.
6:01 that noise reminded me that I have to make a dentist appointment. 🤣😂😅
Ario Is Worth his weight in Gold!!!
Perkins channel folk are good at what they do but play everything down and stay humble. Clearly good enjoyable people to work with
Bravissimi un saluto dalla Italia❤
Hey guys
Jay in the crapper 😂
Great episode. Love Jay's shitter promo for his channel. And Arlo is a master! 👏 👏 👏
you boys are amazing with the circular saw
Dude Arlo is a wizard
Thanks for the smile on my face!
Be kind to each other. Stay safe. Love to all
Eric, Could you please show Arlo chamfering the beams... I am interested in how he got them so "crisp" .
I love the videos I watch them as soon as I can bc they are so good. I Can’t wait to see more videos keep up the good work bros😎
Hi Folks all the Timber is making me happy …I love wood look it’s just the best ..looks amazing and when it’s stained it talks to me ,,cheers 🙏❤️😀👍🦘🇦🇺🇺🇸
That outdoor covered porch footage, which adds so much value to the home, costs as much, if not more per sq foot to build than interior bedroom footage runs, yet it's been my experience since 1977 that lender appraisers do not value that exterior footage in their appraisals.
There is a trend for construction or anyone who uses a tape measure which is, having the team guess one by one where 12” is at on the tape measure without looking at it. You guys should try that!!
Hello brothers! I talking from Brazil and I always follow yours tips and appreciate it. The woodframe construction is growing in my country.and I hope that more and more have more materials that accompany this growth. Congratulations for everyone for the content.
Thanks and cheers from North Carolina!
I come for the builds but stay for the comradery
Your attention to detail is amazing to see, anyone whos house you build is very lucky. Those bevelled beam ends look amazing, Arlo def has those woodworking skills honed. Great vid once again folks.
Arlo is the new Norm Abram. He really should create a YT channel with a spinoff of “The New Yankee Workshop,” except he isn’t a Yank!
So much good information to absorb. Maybe I’ll use some of it later.
I have done some structure building and it’s usually by myself that’s why I do mostly cabinetry work. Finding a crew that gels like yours is incredible. Love watching all your videos for instruction and entertainment.
Arlo is the only UA-cam carpenter Ive seen that uses a hand saw correctly... point your index finger towards the saw tip, it will keep your cuts straighter ...
Sundays are just better with a PBB video! KUTGW
I'm probably the only bahamian in the comments, but let Arlo know that I love his Kalik shirt. Coming from a fan in the Bahamas 🇧🇸
that thar is some PROE-fessional fitments!!
@perkinsbrothers you may consider closing a kind of a bird box between the main roof overhang and the porch one to allow laying the roofing all the way.
That's some big wood! We would like to thank today's sponsor 'hims'
I am a big fan of Lexel as it worked great on my block steps and have use it on my porch posts under and over the bracket to keep the water from getting under the brackets and rust forming and rusting the brackets out over time.
House building without any screws, seems to happen only in Japan, high quality construction style.
The burger I got from the truck that was at BCO Wednesday was really good.
Arlo is King 😊😊😊😊😊😊
Love seeing y'all enjoy dinner at the end!
Hey boys, another good term to use to describe the choice of the timbers for "scale" of the 24' deck is "aspect ratio"
Love you guys! Keep up the craftsmanship and the laughs...
mastafull work by arlo on the post bevelz 🙇🏼♂️
It's always a pleasure to build with you guy's !!!
Outstanding work guys!
Place is gonna be sick… top 5
Man I wish I knew a company that did start to finish like you guys I’d love to do this work
Its got a very Japanese look to it..very cool the porch roof
I want to say thank you Erik for filming and editing these series and everyone for making this a fun and informative journey of construction, and remodeling these amazing houses. I came across your guys channel a while ago and been watching it everyday! It has inspired me to remodel my home!
Those beams were beasties, but as long as they look good and hold what they are supposed to, no problem. I heard Erik say something about the extended drill, using a standard drill welded onto a plan piece of bar can cause problems if the bar is the same size as the drill. As the drill cuts the swarf/cuttings are forced up the flutes, the plain bar will block and can burn or in some cases size the drill. Best to buy a proper long series drill which is made for deep holes. Great post and posts, take care 🔨🔨🔨🔨🔨
Love the timber work
satisfying in a sense as always too look at you guys build, keep it up. you inspire very me and other people in the carpenting community :)
You guys are amazing all the way around. Good work, good humor, and good.. let me think on this a bit.
Timber framing with your own squared logs can be a cost effective way to make a house.
always a pleasure watching you guys enjoying what you do
❤ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOUR BUILDS! Plus the humor! 😊
Hey you guys are amazing. Wish we had a team like you here in Kansas. Also I tried the Factor meal’s and I was very pleased with the quality. I take them to work and some of my coworkers have asked about them, I gave them the coupons that come with our weekly delivery. Next is Im trying the low calorie meals. Any ways you guys do a great job and I love the teamwork and humor between you guys.
Arlo’s skill is hard to match!
Great series so far lads, I can't wait to see how it turns out
Smashing 😊😊😊😊😊
Jay...outhouse ninja!
Cool build, you should do a split screen edit with the next post you install like this. I think it be cool to see floor and wall prepped side by side.
Love it! Good stuff
Should have let Jay do the "bird box" cuts LOL!
As always, great video fellas. Keep up the great work 👍
All you guys are amazing! Arlo is great great value to your company 😊
Gee that is making the house look really good. Arlo does great work. Enjoyed and thanks.
Wish I could work with yall for a week
