I've worked for alot of different restaurants, it really depends on the restaurant type, but even in the high-end ones you normally write down the cover number, and put it in the system when you put the food in, that way if you get busy with another order the food running or another server knows what food is for what cover. Also in fine dinning you should seve from the left and clear from the right. ladies always first, in fine dinning oldist first. Lots of rules in fine dinning.

The thing is, the kids are still learning, so it's obvious he'll act that way. But these are adults that do it for a living, they should be better. Ramsey isn't heartless, his expectations are just higher for these people, and majority of the time they don't live up to it. I love watching Ramsey roast people, and then watching clips of Master Chef Junior and seeing him on the complete opposite side of the spectrum.
