The steps are towards the back, the trajectory looks like over the refs head and towards the other side, she even reach out towards the side to catch the ball. For me it doenst look like its gonna fall on the steps.

I love this in theory but If the ball goes out of bounds in volleyball, the team can go ANYWHERE to get it so long as it’s back over the other side of the net within 3 hits. So in theory if they were REALLY good they could’ve gotten it done in their remaining 2 hits.

Everyone, if you look VERY closely the ball was going to hit the Ladder. Even if the player hit the volleyball she would still hit the ladder due to the limited space of the trajectory. The rules of volleyball states that if the volleyball hits any surface, object or ground counts as out of bounds which would happen
it would not have since the serve was on the side right in front of us, the player going to hit the ball was also on the same side and the ref was at the net line with no player on the oppoosite side aiming to hit the ball, the ball would have hit the ref/ref's box before either would have been able to hit the ball

yeah but if it doesn't hit the ground the ball is still in play so if she moves to catch it she's interfering, even if it wouldn't have been saved, the ball the first time was far enough to not hit her head so she should have just let it hit the latter

I love this in theory but If the ball goes out of bounds in volleyball, the team can go ANYWHERE to get it so long as it’s back over the other side of the net within 3 hits. So in theory if they were REALLY good they could’ve gotten it done in their remaining 2 hits.

The ball was headed straight for her head. If she didn’t catch it she would’ve had to physically dodge it for it to be playable.
@@jackwill54 On the first one? She had to twist her body and reach out to catch it. Might have been close/ kind of behind the reff post but it did seem playable. Second one was already falling right above her head there was no escaping lmao
@@-lixiepixie- She had to twist her body to catch it because she was standing facing toward the net and the person who hit the ball towards her was on her right side. So naturally, she would twist her body to the direction of the ball regardless of the ball’s distance. However, you can tell it was right above her head based on the way she caught the ball because her elbows were still bent which means it was very close to her.

BTW for anyone who doesn't know in volleyball it doesn't matter if the ball is "going out", as long as it doesn't touch the ground you're chilling.
But as soon as it touches anything outside of the bounds, it is very much out of play. So if a bystander in the stands caught the ball, it isn't still in play even though it didnt touch the ground. It touched the ref, the play ends there in both situations.
Everyone, if you look VERY closely the ball was going to hit the Ladder. Even if the player hit the volleyball she would still hit the ladder due to the limited space of the trajectory.
The rules of volleyball states that if the volleyball hits any surface, object or ground counts as out of bounds which would happen
