Sounds really good. I would leave out the thyme (not my favorite herb) and would add sesame sticks. I would also use the little pretzels squares; not the sticks - I think it would be easier to eat a handful with those.
Chex Mix is one of my favorite snacks homemade. Even the gas station stuff will do while at work. But when my dad was still alive he would make the best Buffalo Chicken flavor Chex Mix. He would add everything a traditional Chex Mix would have in it then he would add these tiny Chicken flavored crackers. He would also add a very little amount of chicken bouillon powder in the Buffalo Sauce. I made Classic, Buffalo chicken, Garlic Parmesan, and Steakhouse Chex Mix for our 4th of July Barbecue today. Too warm them up I will put them in the grill on indirect heat for 5 to 10 minutes. Because I feel the best way to eat Chex Mix is fresh from the oven. Have a great and safe 4th of July weekend Dave.
I think you need to mix it up from the standard chex mix. Thank you AI for going a step above. Sounds like a recipe I would enjoy. I am the type of person that likes a 20 ingredient salad... lol
Thanks Dave for another Chex Mix recipe, it looks really tasty. How about asking AI for a blueberry muffin recipe. I know you did one already, but I have a great crop of blueberries this year and would like to see the difference. I love all of your videos.😊😊😊
This may help you... How to pronounce Worcestershire sauce... ...... Wuss.. ster.. sheer ..... Living in MA where we have a city called Worcester.. we find it comical how ppl can't pronounce it.... We have a whole list of cities ppl can't pronounce LOL Enjoyed the video...
Im 65 and I remember when adults made this at home because it wasn't mass produced,Yet. I was a young girl, my mom and a few of her friends got together every Saturday night,to play cards. Mrs Budd often made the original Chex Mix. I tasted it once ,went eweeeee didn't like it .they should have warned me it wasn't sweet. 20 years later, they start selling it in the stores. .Home made is much better.
Fun Fact! Walmart now SELLS chex mix seasoning !!!! For anyone whos a diehard fan. Surely it can be made at home, too, but it was only 50 cents! Not bad
I love that you are testing a variety of a popular comfort food! The base remains the same but the "yum" changes! Im almost ashamed of how much chex mix ive eaten since your first recipe! 😅 Fyi - dont buy off brand W sauce - it often does not use the same ingredients and it really hurts the omami boost!
Could you put all your recipes back on your Playlist? I like to go back and watch some of the old ones - and I'm sure new viewers would also be interested- like all 3 of the chex mixes! Or soon to be 4 or 5 or 6.... I know there are a lot of sweet varieties!
No, thank you on the almonds and thyme. I would rather not have the flavor of a spruce tree and have cashews, pecans, or walnuts instead of almonds. The smoked paprika is probably there just for the smoky hint. When it comes to food, there can never be a best. Taste is subjective to the person eating it. I think candied pecans would be great in this along with the little dried wheat and white bread chips; others may think that is a horrible idea.

Can you eat sunflower seeds? Roasted chickpeas?
Nothing new been this for decades
