The Base system comes with 2 weak and tiny BMW subwoofers, and 4 mid speakers, one in each door which are all powered by the head unit. Lacking a proper amp and tweeters, this system had to be upgraded with both a new BMW speaker set and an amplifier for a rich, mighty sound.

If I already have your CarPlay Mmi would I have 2 different sets of splinters? Seems like allot to fit behind the head unit

if your sound system will require the stereo harness as the one in this video, you will need both PnP harnesses, one for the amp and the other for the MMI, it is harder to make them both fit behind the head unit, however, it is doable from our experience. Can i install an amplifier in my 2011 e70?
