The ending of this reveals that Ubisoft truly does have our best interests at heart. They knew that our sync levels with the Assassin would simply be too high for the Animus to handle it if they actually improved the parkour from the classic system, so instead they deliberately limited the parkour and removed integral functionality in order to prevent these sorts of crashes from happening should any Animus user ever reaches the level of mastery present in this video. It was truly joever from the start…
1:59 is weirdly my favorite move in here, also like it’s meant to clear that exactly. Pretty happy about that initial find and what Henry was able to turn it into
No matter how many times I watch your videos, you always catch me off guard with your routing. The most unconventional, unexpected movements. In a good way, of course. The best way.
Seeing the effort you put into those graphics at the end make me realise how important the immersive context of the animus is and how badly I want that level of it back 😫 Great vid as always!
Parkour choreography aside, the investment in graphic design, editing and the diegetic presentation of this being more than just a gameplay clip makes this stand out from the rest.
WOW... while i don't have experience on the parkour mod, i can only imagine how difficult this was to pull of mechanically. The flow is next level and the variety and unpredictability of this run was insane i never knew what was coming next. Loved the animus malfunction edit as well really creative, the BEST to do it!
Jesus your routes are like taking the freeway, doing a donut in the middle, taking an exit, then launching off the exit onto another freeway perfectly 😂 Nice work as always
Those drop/vault/hangs are nothing short of glorious (my jaw dropped at 2:18)! My condolences for the sanity I'm sure you must have sacrificed to record this absolute behemoth of complexity.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it as much! While the run was definitely a handful, it was surprisingly fast to record, especially compared to some other ones - the editing side of things, though, ate up a lot of my sanity indeed lol
Uploaded on thanksgiving because we’re thankful for this feast. Your creativity and fluidity in your use of modded moves are always a joy to watch. Also your Animus edits are insane as always.
This is a work of art the vaulting the swing the ejects it all feels like you are ezio himself jumping to roof to roof top and the music is ofc peak this game was amazing and still holds up to this day I’ve been playing this game for five year and I’m not this good even if I did download mods it wouldn’t be good and the ending was so cool hands up and Absolute cinema
ITS FINALLY HERE RAHHHHH Superb job on the run, the sound design, and the visual effects. You've really outdone yourself here and you should be proud. P.S. that parkour down sequence @ 2:18 is literally nsfw and should be on an adult website for how absolutely sexy it was
Glad you enjoyed them! Mainly made them in DaVinci Resolve's fusion, with a drawing/image manipulation program on the side for some of the visual assets and icons on the visual side of things.
The only thing missing is chemical warfare... 😔 Truly spectacular, brother. Loved the work with the video editing and animus messages towards the end. Glitch and sound effects were super solid.
The fluidity is making me feel a certain way ngl. In all seriousness this was a beautiful run, I've been waiting for you to drift around cities in AC again :D
You cant just jumpscare with me with a upload like that! Lmao this is amazing as always, your skills never fail to impress no matter how times you show them. Keep up the amazing work! Edit: i love the editing and the animus at the end, its GLORIOUS
i only wish to do these crazy ass runs like you do. it's so difficult to operate this mod , as someone who's still practicing it it's mind boggling to see all the mico movements you pull out. don't stop cooking. you should also try Unity runs.
Great run with the new controls! I hate the horrible visual rendering bugs for the PC port of AC2, I get them too. The one that's split down the screen and wipes the textures over as you turn annoys me especially.
@@Andrew-ko2ps Ahh I see! So, the first one is just a default vault landing, where I was able to let go of all inputs, before Ezio naturally targeted a foot landing on the beam. The second one is different in this case, and isn't something I do often, as I initiated a freeform vault exit, before holding the auto snap enable bind, so that Ezio quickly snaps onto it out of freeform airtime (as he would by default in vanilla). Sometimes lower (prescriptive, not freeform) landings can be achieved by simply holding the parkour down close bind as the vault is playing out, but this beam happened to be too low. Even in the case of there being a landing destination targetable in this way, past a certain fall height, Ezio still ends up transitioning into a freeform state before getting to the destination, so holding the snap bind can still be helpful when targeting NSOs.
This is awesome, I’m thinking of making a second channel focused on parkour in different games (Mostly Assassin’s Creed) do you have any tips for me? (I’m hoping to one day join people like you and Ropotopolous as a parkour legend)
Thank you! When it comes to getting some parkour going, the main thing is to get into it and practice, whether by just simply freeroaming for the hell of it, or trying to choreograph/record a run - there's a lot of value in each of these activities, and each contributes to a different range of skills. As you play around, get better at the game, and become more proficient at environment processing, you'll start developing your own style and thought patterns that are going to uniquely set you apart :). When it specifically comes to the process of choreographing, keep in mind that the length of a run you're trying to get, depending on your criteria for what's "good enough" to post, might scale badly with how long it actually takes to make, so if you're ever short on time, don't feel bad about making ~2 minute runs instead of long 3 - 5 minute ones, there's a large difference. Also, make sure to not make life hard on yourself, don't compare yourself to others in a negative way (something I often have a difficult time with during the process of choreographing), rather strive to learn from their approach and keep your own stuff up
I do have a slightly outdated guide on how to get the mod running and play it, even if it still explores the principles of its functionality pretty well despite some bind changes that have occurred over time. I do remember seeing a nicer and more updated install guide out there, too, though not sure who uploaded it. One thing definitely worth noting is that you should only try playing with the mod after you've gotten somewhat comfortable and proficient at parkouring vanilla
@@animusdrifter i did play the game several years ago . i am big fan of AC games , played all of them . The game in this video . the graphics look too good for the game . Is that also modded? Any place to download that?
@@Youalrightboi I see, it's nice you have some prior experience with the games! Though that sadly doesn't instantly mean they succeeded at teaching you all there is to the vanilla movement, as their tutorialization ranges from bad to non existent. If you aren't familiar with moves like ejects, or aren't used to using them, as well as manual jumps and ledge grabs to your advantage, I'd definitely like to recommend a guide or two before getting into the mod, as the mod hosts a wide variety of inputs and combinations that would be hard for an inexperienced player to wrap around at first. As for the looks, I'm running Eagle Patch for AC2, which by default increases LOD distance. Eagle patch is already a requirement to run the parkour mod, so it's a double win.
