GB Climber Jim Pope | Balancing Comp Climbing & The World's Hardest Trad Routes

Jim Pope is a top British sport, trad and competition climber. He has climbed up to F8c+, had some scary moments on a couple of E9s and has been competing for several years.
His hardest ascents include Kaabah 8c+, Appointment with Death E9 6c, Meshuga E9 6c, and Kale Borroka 8b+ onsight.
As well as starring as part of the incredible UA-cam channel ‪@WEDGECLIMBING‬ , Jim is always looking to push himself on the world's hardest boulders, or in day-to-day training at the wall.
Jim joined us at Kendal Mountain Festival 2023 to talk about all things competitions, grit stone and risk.
