I lost my wife 23 years ago to a brain tumor. One day life is perfect, and the next she was fighting for her life. So glad to see the medical strides made since then.
Hope you cherish the gift you received every day.
Paul Haas it is amazing you had 23 years of marriage, many cant make it past 2
Paul Haas 💞💞

Paul Haas We lost my mom in 2015 to a brain tumor. She was 46. It is a rough road to travel. My thoughts and prayers are with anyone going through this right now!
Sorry to hear. Same thing happened to my sister 22 years ago. God bless.
I love how he interviews her, and she honestly answers. most married couples cant do this
Mike1614b that’s probably why the have a great big family in nyc with a touring career and not divorce
Def Operator - 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I bet in the outtakes she said, "Jim, you idiot". lol Great couple.
Honesty is undervalued when it has to be paramount in any real relationship
Def Operator TRUE!!!
Gaffigan is a special guy . We’re lucky to have him.
Lucky to have both of them. They seem like an amazing team.
G F . You’re a good man
My husband worked with both of them on his show. They are an incredible couple and since my husband and I have both had cancer, we can appreciate them even more.
I met them once, on the subway in brooklyn, great folks !!
Positive thoughts to you and your husband.
There still hope in the world! 🎈
*DeeGee Brandemour* I had heard that Jim was a really cool guy. I love his sarcastic sense of humor.
It's actually so strange to laugh and cry at the same time
Oh Lynn you lovely cow!
Every funeral I have attended has included humorous anecdotes about the deceased by their loved ones.
So glad I’ve just figured out how to prop a tissue at the bottom of my eyeglasses and between my lips. Comes in handy for when you forget your slobber bucket at home. 🤓
@Lynn Johnson Yes, it is. For me, the laughter helps me forget and get through the pain.
@@maryannedelaney or maybe to integrate it? :)
I love you Jim. You make me laugh because you're funny without being cruel. Continued blessings to you, and your loves.
Jeannie is a keeper. Blessings to the family😍
Yea...& so is Jim.....
The world needs a lot more people like these two in it.
I'm not crying, you're crying! So glad you're doing well, Jeannie.
I'm crying
Darn onions
Jeannie is a force of nature. Driven by love, passion for Jim and her children and dedicated to teach the best qualities of life. Faith, service and love. She’s phenomenal. ❤️
From the few years I spent as a neuro nurse, I don’t recall too many happy endings. Thanks for this one.
My goodness. “I knew there was a reason for this”. What a woman. I admire you so much. What a couple.
Katherine Doornink so much faith
I lost my husband to a brain tumor 2 years a go I wish you two only the best 💕
"when I would tap into my faith I could see the big picture, but when I wasn't in touch with it.. it was to much to bare" - as someone that could relate this message touched me.. put a little knot in my throat
It’s amazing how much strength comes from faith. A lesson for us all.
Thankyou Jesus for grace. Education not deportation!
"bear"
"too much to bear"
@S C How's your brain tumor going?
Beautiful story. Love Jim Gaffigan and his family.
I'm glad she came through and what an amazing woman. Jim is a very lucky man.
OK....but with all his jokes........he's a very sweet man that loves his wife & children immensely. *
Susan Furnish that's all that really counts.
I love the Gaffigans!!
That's how I tackled leukemia - through humor & faith
@S C I don't think atheism is working out for you. You're still super bitter about everything that's happened in your life. My best friend is an atheist and is super chill and at peace with her struggles. It works for her... but clearly not for you. Work out the emotional issues you have, maybe in therapy or something, and then seek a spiritual path that nourishes you deeply. Blessed be
Thats how my husband overcame lymphoma.
Diane Aisha Monday 💕💕💕
Lori L 🙏💖💐🥰
@Matt G - no. Lots of chemo too.
Beautiful story of love and healing
I agree!
I worked as an Operating Room Nurse for many years and am intimately familiar with your situation. The key here is that the tumor was benign and not malignant. God bless you all.
Jeannie has EXCELLENT taste, man. You're an angel.
The poignancy is palpable. The love is real between Jim & Jeannie Gaffigan. Thank you for sharing a very touching seven minutes about medical mysteries, and a marvelous recovery.
My favorite comedian. He doesn't have to go raunchy to get a laugh...he notices the humor in everyday life that many zombie their way through. I pray that they both grow old together.
She said it all in so many ways- Don't take life for granted- Your EVERYDAY life and the people in it...
The world does not give enough recognition to a true family man who loves his wife and children. Jim is such and so is my awesome hubby Bill.
So glad that Jeannie is here for her babies who will always need her and love her
Bless Jeannie, Jim, and all the little Gaffigans. There are no better folk on this planet and we are all better for them.
Jim, I am very happy that your wife Jeannie( the executive producer) came through everything and is doing great today.
I'm so happy she is so much healthier.
My mother went thru this at 40 years. She too survived and only has slight short term memory issues.
Bless Jeannie
mike856ms bless your mom. I’m so glad she is well 💖
I wonder what kind of person hits "thumbs down" on this? Two exceptional people here.
Teach a man to fish - I’m sure that people who are thumbing it down are thumbing the hardship down. I can’t imagine anyone not being inspired by this loving family.
disliking the video does not mean disliking the people.
why wonder, who cares about them?
Congratulations on your recovery. I also had a brain tumor (acoustic neuroma). I was on a feeding tube for 7 months ,told I would never eat again. I said I will. I can eat now. I can't hear out of my right ear or see out of my right eye ( I lost my sight in that eye because I don't blink in that eye. When I was discharged I didn't know I needed to keep eyedrops in all day. My cornea got scratched and 3 replacements later none worked ). My face is a little twisted but I am here! THANK GOD. I am self sufficient and I can still drive. I am 67 years old. You will never know how much I needed your testimony.
Keep going, keep growing, Deidre! It sounds like you've pushed beyond many expectations they had for your recovery. #uRock
I'm sorry for your suffering. And, yet, glad you've given us this glimpse into what humanity is capable of experiencing with Grace.
There is a reason Jim Gaffigan is my favorite comedian. His stories are so real and heartfelt. As I watched this segment, I found myself reminded of his many comedy specials I have watched at least a half dozen times. My wife and I know all the punchlines and although I knew Jeannie was a part of Jim's production team, I didn't realize she was behind so much of his work. She is amazing.
I love how humble Jim is 💗
THANK YOU, scientists, doctors, nurses, medical teams, lab teams, researchers, etc. Science rocks!! We love Jim Gaffigan.
God bless you both, you’re awesome people.
"When I would tap into my faith..." Damn, she's wonderful. I love this family.
Oh Jim... this is beautiful. .. she is amazing...and you're looking at her like omg she's amazing... ♡♡♡♡♡♡☆☆☆☆☆
Tears here...my husband has mesothelioma...every extra day with him is a gift. Hope your wife continues on the road to full recovery, good health, no more tumors. Beautiful couple, beautiful children, beautiful love. God bless!!!
Love His comedy and compassion, love Her bravery and faith. Go Jim & Jeannie!
God bless you and your wife. I recently lost my 91 year old mother and just fou d out my oldest brother (73) has stage 4 cancer. This video made my eyes wet. I'm a huge fan of Jim's comedy and have enjoyed the UA-cam videos I've recently discovered and subscribed to about his family.
I love this guy. He's hilarious and refreshing.
Such a humble man, loving couple, and touching trial they endured as a unit. 💕 Brought me to tears
Nicely done, Not too sappy. Thanks for keeping Steve Hartman away from this story, I'm pretty sure he'd have me crying by now.
Laughter really is the best medicine, and Jim has made me laugh a lot over the years. I thank him for that. So glad to hear that Jeannie is doing well. Best wishes to the Gaffigans.
My mom went through this when she was about 53..about 2 years after my dad passed away..it was tough.. so glad to see a beautiful couple like this..real love... that's rare
Have always loved Jim Gaffigan --- now I love her as well --- so happy for her & all of them, wishing them long & healthy lives.
That was an awesome interview: as a husband who was there through it all ... it made this a humanizing interview in a way I’ve never seen before (talking about how she helped him manage the demands of his career and family before the tumor), all while it was conducted in a formal and professional way.
Also I found this so informative! She didn’t have cancer and Jim is a sweetheart... he became not just comedian dad but good guy Jim doing what great dads do: when life got hard, he brought the family together with corny jokes. 🤪
So happy she's ok. Two great people!
Thank you for sharing this personal story. I am also a Brain Tumor Warrior, and surgery survivor. I also have 5 kids, but they're all grown, and have kids of their own. I don't know how you were able to handle having the young children to care for during your recovery! I had to leave my job due to the long hours and high stress environment, but am still working a full time desk job. I am happy you came through so well. Bless you and your family. 💖💖
Congratulations to you for hanging in there and surviving a very rough time!
Hi warrior here too.vhl disease.what do you have or had bless you stay strong
My Lord this was beautiful.
The family at the end nice touch!
Looks like Jim Gaffigan just broke the UA-cam Comments section. I'm not finding any awful comments down there. :: jaw hits floor ::
Kirk: SpOcK!¿¡! sOmE ThINg ..... iS nOt QuIt rIgHt !?¿!

They are amazing.
I pray for them.
It's been 20 years since my brain tumor resection. Life is full of surprises, the good, bad, funny, and sad. I am so greatful for those that are able to share life experiences. Thank you.
I literally am so emotional watching this right now.
thankyou for staying witg us jeanie. keep our jim happy.
I am so happy that all came out well they are to nice and too loving of each other for anything bad to happen. Thank God all is well. Y'all will be in my prayers for a long time.
Aaaw, prayers up indeed. HOWEVER, if they were horrible people would that mean it's ok for bad things to happen to them? Jesus said In this life you will have many troubles but take heart, for I have overcome the world for you.
*Bad things can happen to ANYONE and it's NOT relative to what they DO, even if they're in your opinion "too nice and good for anything bad to happen to."* We just live in an imperfect world with an imperfect earth & people, with demons in the invisible realm, plotting and creating obstacles.... For we wrestle not against flesh and blood (people) but against powers, against rulers of wickedness in high places.
🔹Prayer warns us and prayer does change things so I am grateful for your selfless heart in praying for others. God Bless!
*Edited for typos
I'm so thankful that you were able to beat the cancer and your family still gets to have you God bless you
God Bless You Gaffigans You dont know how much Jim has made me laugh when I needed to cry. Thank you both again blessing to u and your family .
You guys did it.... Together! Praise God , Jeannie survived! Your faith got you through this storm and allowed you to inspire others. Thank you for sharing👏🏻🙏 💕💜💜💜💜💜🤍🤍🤍🌈
JIM, you are #1 in my book! You are funny without the raunch! Thank you! We ALL need MORE comedians like you. U have set the bar high! Hot Pocket! Yep, this VTer went there. Bless your wife with full recovery. Remember, she knew you when...and knows the gem you are. No bad taste here.
Miss the Jim Gaffigan show! What a special couple. Bet their kids are the best. She reminds me of my ex-wife who I miss so much.
Love you both and all your fun children!
🍃❤🍃
I have had two minor heart attacks and a minor stroke. I know what she means about appreciating life. Jim, I love your work and I now know why it is so good. Behind every successful man is a woman propping him up. God has blessed us all with your presence and will continue to bless you and your family. Thank You!
I'm crying and not over hot pockets
Beautiful loving couple. Thankfully she survived! An amazing intelligent woman. Thank you for sharing this love story. ❤
OMG, MIRACLES DO HAPPEN. I AM SO THANKFUL TO GOD THAT YOUR WIFE IS GOING TO BE OK. THAT SHE WILL BE AROUND FOR A LONG TIME FOR YOU AND YOUR 5 CHILDREN. YOU CAN SEE ALL THE LOVE YOU HAVE FOR EACH OTHER!!!
I love Jim Gaffigan! His success is a testament to their love and talents working as a team.
Nobody ever looked so gorgeous still even while in the hospital!
They are lucky to have this special love in their lives.
Many many happy years for the whole family.
GOD BLESS you all! LOVE everyday!
LOVE AND PRAYERS to the Gaffigans! You continue to bring me great joy and laughter!
I like that he interviewed her. If someone else had interviewed them both, it would have been awful. My mom had a cancerous tumor. I can say without faith and humor, she and our family would not have been able to deal with any of the treatments and then eventually hospice. I am so glad your family is doing so well!
I love Jim Gaffigan! I’m glad she pulled through all of this. Thank you for sharing this Jim
Thank you for sharing! I’m a mom of 2 very young children and had a stroke this year. Jeannie is right that it is only faith in God that can get you through these situations. Praise Jesus I am still able to care for my children after a few months of relying heavily on others.
May God bless you both with many more years together and with your beautiful children.🙏🙋💞
OMG 😭😭😭😭😭😭 yep...similar reaction. Crying and laughing 😭😂😭😂😭😂😭😂😭😂. God bless them.
It's amazing the quality of health care when you can afford it. God bless America!
It’s clear why a good mother and wife is called the heart and soul of a family.
Your a very blest man Jim. I know how grateful you must be to continue to have her in your, your children lives, and all those that love the special person she is.
"The tumor was the size of a pear. Did he go to med school or a farmer's market?"
-Jim Gaffigan
What a heartless comment.
Shape of a pear.

What an amazing woman! And for not smacking him up the side of the head! You go, girl!
I like both of them so much, and I'm so happy they're getting through this. With humor! 🤞
I’m sitting here at breakfast, in front of a cold cup of coffee and soggy Cherrios with tears in my eyes, first from sadness and now with joy, all for a woman I don’t know and will never meet. Thank you for your faith and your gift to all of us.
Blessings to you and your family. Life is so much more, so many take it's gift for granted. Cherish your time and love for those in your life.
Blessings for your family, so glad Jeannie is healthy. Will have to get her new book.
I am so glad she was diagnosed and is doing well..however my second thought is that she has way better health care than I have ever received.
I love both of these people. They have shown a true commitment to the vows they took and continuously honour them. Let them be an example to the rest of us. May the Good Lord bless them.
I am so glad that this love story is to continue. ❤️❤️
WOW!!!! Very nice story of Love , Hooe, And Strength!!! Thank You for sharing such a private time in your lives....Thank You and Have a Great Night!!!!!
God bless to the beautiful Gaffigan family, I’m so sorry you had to go through this, however all is good now! You beautiful people!
I'm not crying, you're crying! Beautiful love story, Amazing strength and faith!!!
God Bless Jim and Jeannie.
Jim...I dont expect you will ever read this...but you lighten my life, i laugh and cry....I have 8 kids myself, I am 66 but "remember" almost every thought and fun observastions. Incl...the cancer...you are just a favorite person...I wish you all the best and want you to know....you are making a difference....thankyou from the bottom of my heart...for sharing such private information...you have my respect
I love him more now that I know his wife. Cool family.
I know you were integrating humor with this video, however, what a LOVING, REAL, BEAUTIFUL story of LOVE, motherhood, companionship, and STRENGTH. Thank you for sharing this precious story!!! Love and hugs to you❤️❤️❤️
Just when I thought I couldn’t love JG any more! Thank you so much for sharing this amazing woman with us. I look forward to reading her story.
I love the genius of his dark, deep honesty, and intellect that he can carry lightly through any crowd and cause a laugh. This man has worked so hard and his self deprecation is so ironic because I think he knows deep down how amazing he is, he keeps himself modest and he works so hard at his craft. love you, Jim!!!!
