Flight Formula is fast becoming my favourite airline vlog. Love the dry sense of humour reserved for the audience. As well, I'm sure the host was glad he was flying short haul with his brewing condition. Nothing worse than food poisoning on a long haul flight. Ask me how I know...:(
Hope you are feeling better, mate! What I will tell you as someone who has had food poisoning (and even had it confirmed via laboratory tests in the hospital) is that food poisoning isn't instant. You don't just eat something and feel the effects within a few minutes or an hour. Generally it takes somewhere between 8 to 12 hours from when you ate the affected food to feel the symptoms of food poisoning. Could it be the lounge food? Potentially. But it could also have been the street food you had. This is one of the reasons why when I'm travelling to countries like Indonesia I'll eat at Macca's. Yes it is not the healthiest food out there, not by a country mile, but it won't get you sick simply because they must prepare the food to an exacting McDonalds standard that has food safety built in.
It was probably more likely the street food. And correct, it typically takes a few hours to kick in. I personally avoid the street food in these types of places. Sometimes it's not "food poising" per say, it's bacteria if your not local your body just isn't use to. The body is like WTF vs sick. That happens to me if I over indulge on fast food anymore since it's a rarefy now. Body is like what did you put in me.
Flight formula is a breath of fresh air among other teviewers. I am so confused with the low view rates and the number of subscribers. Regarding the piano version of pop songs, they kinda do that in Hong Kong as well. I was at a department store, and the piano version of some cantopop was playing.
Lol.. i think you're supposed to roll the rice noodle with the meat and veg as fillings.. Anyways I enjoy how you literally speak like what i imagined i sound like when i speak my mind 😂😂 And when you said "i think he's onto me.." really gets me! I was a flight attendant and when my passenger is taking his sweet time eating on a 1hr flight (cgk-sin), I'd do the same he does and I can expect the exact thoughts on passngers' mind😮😅 And i hope they're flattered..lol
No telling where your food poising came from, but it was a lot more likely the street food and drink. It's almost always the water in places like that. The food didn't look great in the lounge but it was cooked. The overall experience for the carrier it self it what to expect on VN.
That sucks, losing a couple of days of a trip to food poisoning. Makes me glad I stuck to boring Western food in Vietnam. So many places with meat sitting around in 35C+ weather! Other than that, water is a potential concern - if they rinsed any salad or the pho broth was topped up with tap water.
That actually makes sense if it's a street drink vs canned. You have to be extremely careful on what you drink if you're not local. Classic tip for such travel don't touch the water. Also have to be careful with uncooked fruit and vegies.
Have flown this route in J many times, but always on an A321. Hard product very tired but soft is great. I also had a great experience recently flying SYD-SGN in J on a 787. Not a bad product and value for money could not be beat.
Flew BC from Syd via HCMC. to LHR and return with VA and the staff food and airliners were outstanding. Trying to contact administration for any change to flights was dreadful (we had cancelled returned flights)
It struck me as a kinda odd experience though not without its positives. I feel for you in the aftermath of the dodgy food, but as you said, good or bad, nothing last forever!
I'm going to subscribe to you. I hope that you'd do a quick coverage of hotel and what you experience about the destination you're in if that's cool to share or if it's not too much of a trouble in your other videos 🙏🏽.. you're cool!
I hope to see you fly and review on a return flight with Qatar Airways A350-1000 ultra long-haul. Maybe Auckland to Europe on QSuite and return on the economy. I can feel that they're gonna be a big hit !
While I appreciate your genuine and well-intentioned approach to reviewing this airline experience,, I couldn't help but notice a subtle undercurrent of passive-aggressiveness in your comments about certain in-flight products. This may not be your intention, but it does affect the overall tone of your review. I suggest observing other airline UA-camrs and incorporating elements of their presentation style into your own. This could help you maintain a more neutral and objective tone, allowing your genuine insights to shine through without any unintended negativity
I disagree with that sentiment. Playing the piano over a song can add a new dimension to the music and create a unique listening experience. There are many examples of songs that have been successfully rearranged for piano, and I think it's a shame to close oneself off to the possibility of discovering new ways to enjoy music

I have found for my delicate constitution, it takes 6 hrs from ingestion to severe cramps and hunt for the nearest crapper! :)

@@johniii8147 that’s why McDonalds is your friend. Not the healthiest meal but it is prepared to very particular standards
You are so underrated, wish the best for you in the future :)
Thank you very much!

Vietnamese here. From my experience, the thing that is most likely to cause your food poisoning is the drink.

keep up the videos! your set to be massive
Will do! 🫡
Please do travel videos.. maybe review the hotels or places that you went. Cant get enough of your flight reviews + your dry sense of humor 🤣

Lounge food is always sketchy
I am a frequent business class flyer and prefer to drink in the lounge eat on the plane

Thales is pronounced “ta-less” (the Ta sounding like Ta in tattoo) 😊
Always love a good Dreamliner review. If Santa grants my wish, I might have another flight on one on Christmas Day itself :)

I suspect it was the dragon fruit. Too much dragon fruit can upset your stomach

I was seriously stressed watching you eat dinner knowing what is about to happen. Then you talked about the slop in the corner. OMG 😮
Weird, I was at that HCMC checking desk just five hours ago.

R u Aussie? And that hotel seemed pretty nice aswell
you 110% got food poisoning from the room temp bowls of food....why!!!
People pay good money for that kinda weight loss I guess 🧐 awesome video though
Hahahaha fair point 😅
I am about 5'11" and sleep on my side. How would the leg room be for me?
A little tight around the feet but not too bad!

Give their human rights issues, AVOID QR. Aussies are not happy with them these days.

bro what are you on about.
