- The Grave & Memorial of Fusilier Lee James Rigby.
On the afternoon of 22 May 2013, a British Army soldier, Fusilier Lee Rigby of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, was attacked and killed near the Royal Artillery Barracks in Woolwich, southeast London.
Lee was off duty and walking along Wellington Street when he was attacked.
The attack took place shortly before 14:20 in Wellington Street, and near its junction with John Wilson Street, part of the South Circular Road (A205) in Woolwich, near the perimeter of the Royal Artilliary Barracks.

I have been to the memorial.
It is a fine & fitting tribute to a young man who died for his Country & his Countrymen.
May the cowardly pair of scumbags who did this horrific deed....rot in hell, or worse.
Thank you for remembering Lee.
Unlike the BBC who only concern themselves with Laurence and his sponging family.
To this day I get choked up thinking of this and the hell his family must have and continue to suffer
When Lee Rigby lost is life 2013 everyone grieved for his family and his wife but most of all of his son who will only see his father in pictures as his Father will never see his son grow into a fine young man or see his son married or to be grandfather RIP LEE RIGBY

After he was murdered the British Muslim Council wanted his memorial moved it reminded too many people what a hero this young man was God bless Lee never forgotten

I remember watching the news and this came on,I was totally disgusted how lees life ended.felt so sorry for his wife and family,Rest in peace lee you’ll never be forgotten.
Notice how his murder was treated as terrorism and not racism. Because lee was white.

Poor young soldier,if it would have been the other way round there would have been murders and we would not have heard the last of it and it would have on the news for years every year on his anniversary, but because it was one of our own nothing sad, rip Lee and God rest your soul xxx

That’s 100% correct, known terrorists walking around our streets n there to scared to do anything incase somebody says that magic word “racist” well if it means deporting them, long jail sentences, death penalty then I’m quite happy to be called racist as this needs sorted out and fast, but the government will do nothing as usual
