True luxury is Japanese reliability and peace of mind that you won't have to have any major problems with the entire duration of ownership.
The reliability/durability of that V6 turbo is still up in the air.

@@pedrofernandez8729doubt it. Engineering tolerances have improved and become cheap over the years on turbos. You can get reliable turbos for150usd. Doubt Lexus will smear their name adding unreliable hardware.

I've had my lx 600 fsport for one year now, this is my first new vehicle I love it more everyday the lx is the best thing that has ever happened to me (my kids hate to hear me say this)

with no panoramic sunroof and beige colour in F.sports model it is such disheartening. Dear Lexus, bring in more customization please.

It would be much nicer if the Lexus name on the lift-gate is bright white LED so on the road, especially at night, other drivers could see it's a Lexus ahead of them....

Brock what is your opinion of electric steering, some people hate it cause it offers no feedback, but the Toyota 86 has it and it has excellent road feel and go kart steering feel.
Just bought one. It’s on its way to the dealership. Trading in a Cadillac Escalade esv. The esv is too big. Like driving a school bus, although a nice one. Can’t sleep because of GM V8 lifter problems. My fleet will be a GX, LX, and RAV4 for my daughter. Just need to trade the corvette for the LC!

The rear Lexus badge is a success but the design of the rear is not impressive. Don't you think it looked a lot like rear of Dodge Durango?
I love it but the lack of a panoramic roof is crazy! It would add so much to the interior aesthetic and is on every other luxury SUV!

They don't sell these in the UK, not sure why, I'm sure that they'd sell plenty as there are plenty rich footballer types who'd be able to afford it and have it, and then in about 15 years I'll pick it up on the used market! @@penvon yes you're right, which gives the lexus a bit of a left field appeal and uniqueness which you won't get from the other brands....that, and it will last more than 5 minutes. JLR are well known for their terrible reliability yet people still buy them because they look a bit bling.

It’s very reliable. It’s very reliable that cost over 130k dollars for nothing with a garbage plastic interior and seven inches on driver cluster. And it’s very reliable that cost for maintenance over 700 bucks. And it’s very reliable for a worst entertainment system screen and it’s very reliable that for stupid subscription fees for a key fob and screen navigation and all that. Plus it’s very reliable with a Ugliness factor exterior design and worst huge grill and it’s very Reliable FOR A MONEY PIT LEXUS LX EVER MADE😗😗😗

I agree with the reliability of Japanese vehicle. But hold on a minute. I preordered a LX600 F Sport. I am now offered what I ordered. But I am waving off my slot. if you wait for another year LX700h will be released. It is sad that Sequoia Capstone has more HP and forge. If you compare 2023 LX600 against 223 BMW X7 M60i , LX 600 is not even close in technology. I have for now a fully loaded demo 2023 BMW X7 M60i until I see LX700h. It cost less than a new Lx600 F Sport. I don’t care 2450 miles on my M60i but I am enjoying my M60i X7. The inline 8 valve twin turbo is giving 27 MPH compared to V6 turbo LX 600. So personal I will wait for the LX700h hybrid shows up late this year or early 2024.
Best Lexus ever???? No not a chance. Seating is cramped. Toe space is non-existent. Engine is loud and rough sending vibrations and noise throughout the cabin. BIG LET DOWN!!!
More complexity, v6s are not as smooth as inline 6s let alone V8s, engine out turbo replacements.

As someone who once owned an LX 570 and now the 2023 600 VIP, let me give some points that are from someone who actually drives them on a daily basis. I love the SUV, BUT, I as every owner of the 570 will tell you, we want the following to come back.
V8, and the drop down back lift gate. Yes we all love it, the land cruisers as well, and we do use it. Why didn't LEXUX listen to us?We do not like the rear light that goes from one side to the other. Lincoln anyone? What is missing for this price range? Automatic window shades. Panoramic sunroof. Retractable running boards.
Other than that, I agree, the best SUV on the road.
Picked up a new GX460. Glad I did as the TTV6 will not be as smooth nor reliable as the V8. Lexus should have retuned the V8 (give it DI in addition to The PI) and incorporate hybrid capability along with the 10 spd. Auto.
@@paulbugoni2846 Well i have had the SUV now for a few months and 3000 km. What a mess this LX 600 is. It is unstable on the road. The ride selections make NO difference. You can not pair a 409-hp twin-turbo V-6 with a 10-speed automatic transmission to a vehicle that weighs 6000 pounds. The transmision can't keep up and this means it can never figure out what gear to go to and it is the jerkiest clunkiest result. It also seems to always wait to shift ad the high end of the rpms. It leaves the driver always wondering when the stupid thing is going to shift.
The Suv is full of the cheapest plastics. Use a soft tip vacuum and you will leave scratches every where in the cargo hold. Even the carpet in the back is cheaper then that in the front. The drop down door does not seal with the bumper so that all the dust and dirt will collect there from end to end, leaving you dirty every time you access the cargo area. The backs the VIP seats do not have any support, just free floating leather. put any item in the back and if it shifts, you will have a hole in the seat. I had a guy make a quilted floor and side wall protection that goes up the back of the seats so that should help a little.
I washed and waxed it. The body is full of loose and ill fitting parts.
All in all this SUV is a mess, you are right, get the last old model going out. I had 2014 LX 600 with 150,000 km on it. Not one problem. I waited extra years for the new model, and it is a huge disappointment, How can Lexus make such put something out like this? And to add insult it injury with the import taxes I paid 205,000 usd in the Dominican Republic. But hey, what else is out there ? Range Rover has always has issues, Mercedes looks like a station wagon, BMW is just highway, so there really is nothing to compete with this.

The Europeans don't have the reliability of a Lexus, although cars today are lease and dispose vehicles due to the complexity of the electronics, drivetrains, etc."old ways are best" This review nails it.
