I grew weary of salivating every time I watched the review of the LX, so I decided to take action and purchase one. I opted for the 2023 LX 500 F-Sport in Manganese Luster, with the same exterior color as the one Ben tested, but with a black interior. Opting for the black interior turned out to be the right choice. The Mark Levinson Reference 25 speaker stereo system sounds incredible (all F-Sport models have this stereo). The ride is exceptionally smooth; it feels like gliding on the freeway. The vehicle is built like a tank, and I have no regrets-I'm absolutely thrilled with it. I paid the MSRP plus the fees of $123k out the door five months ago. I've heard you can now snag it just a bit below the MSRP. Every time I take it for a spin, it's like I'm transported back to 1985, feeling the same excitement as when I first got into a Toyota 4x4 pickup truck during my junior year in high school. I have no intention of going off-road with this SUV. Perhaps that's something for my grandkids to explore in the future.
I’ve been slowly creeping towards buying an LX600. I cross shopped these with my 2023 Navigator, and after a year and a handful of small but annoying Navigator issues, I think it’s time to go back to Lexus. The GX550 looks great, but at the end of the day it’s a Prado, not a Land Cruiser.
IMO the f sport outsells the other trims cause the grill is so much nicer and cooler than on the premium and luxury. I’d go 18” wheels on the f sport. I have a 2020 LX. I love it.

Lexus of Greenville have a bunch in their inventory. I bought my 21 LX570 Sport from them in 21 and kept it for a year and traded it in the 23 RR a year later. I love the RR and have put 22k miles in a year that I have owned it. I was at Lexus Of Greenville yesterday to get my LC500 serviced and noticed they had 2 in inventory and the sales advisor told me they had a few more coming in. Back when the 600 came out there was over a year wait time on it and I didn't feel like it was a massive upgrade from my 21 LX. But I now want to try it out.

I like this a lot more than the new GX, but It just doesn't compare to a Range Rover. It still looks like its 10 years old. That's the problem you have when you let a vehicle rot on the market for over 10 years, but the time you redesign it, you're still behind. They couldn't come up with a better interior and presentation? It screams Toyota+, but it's still nice.

I have owned several Lexus vehicles over the years and most recently the 21 LX 570 Sport, 2015 RCF, 2020 GX460, 2019 GX460, and now the 2019 LC500, and 23 Range Rover and I agree that Lexus is far behind on tech. My RR with pixel headlights, black PKG, black roof, and with optional 23" wheels looks and feels like nothing else on the road. I normally keep vehicles for a year, and I have had the Range Rover for a year now and have put $22k miles on it, and still love it. I am thinking about trading the Range Rover and decided to check out the 600s to see if they inline with the fullsize RR but I gotta give it to Land Rover for design, interior space and materials quality. Lexus is also very nice but the interior looks dated. Not sure what I am going to do..
@@MercOne True, but I still like not-so common vehicles. I was thinking about trading my 23 in on a 24 PHEV Range Rover but they are close to $151k. I don't like domestics or I would get the Escalade. Which vehicle would you suggest other than the Escalade in the same price range as RR, LX, Escalade other than those?
Why are main displays so gross???!!! I mean it looks like it came out of a Toyota Yaris! And the animation is so damn cheap like the first android! And this is high class??? It should be at least 60Hz and damn big!
It doesn't matter what you think really because these things sell like crazy. Most of these are sold to export to other countries because between the LX and the Land Cruiser 300 production, global allocation is tight.

They sold 7,000 in 2023 alone in America shipped from a plant with production limitations. Let that sink in. 7,000 $100,000+ marked up LXs a year. Compare that to its competitors sales numbers who don't have production constraints.. I know for a fact that a lot of brand new LXs here in California don't even get a chance to be registered because brokers that have orders put in send them to shipping containers as soon as they hit the dealer showroom. Like I said, it doesn't matter what you value these things because there's cash paying customers that will and do pay huge markups for them. You think they don't have Caddy and Range Rover dealers in the middle east? These rich folks drive right by them straight to the Lexus and Toyota dealers to put down their deposits for a Land Cruiser or a LX. While you may not see the value in these trucks, apparently 7,000 buyers a year in America alone certainly do.

Yes, i just wish someone besides Lexus could make a luxury SUV that is also reliable. Both Jeep (everything Chrysler makes) and Cadillac, particularly the Escalade, are known to have reliability issues. If it becomes a money pit after 4 years its hard to justify spending $100K on either of those. I would lease but i put on too many miles. I have a Lexus GX with about 140K and have not had to do anything but change the oil.

I have the same car 2023, except in white. The only thing I wish it had built in for 2023 is a full front and rear recording dash cam system.
