- Sorry for the long video but I wanted to show everyone the issues you may run into during the install and how to work through them, hope it helps other out there.

This strikes me as though you're making an instructional video for something you've never done before....
Omg, why?? Why the negative input dude??. And so what if he did you not have a frame of reference for which you may have not had before which is called helpful, if he messed it up, you knew what not to do if you got it right you had an idea what to do either way it is helpful. Why are you being negative towards something helpful. you really could’ve said nothing at all next time. Try that say nothing at all when somebody’s doing something helpful and you weren’t.
The air bubble/Crease in the lower left makes my OCD go crazy. I would remove and just get a whole new emblem.
Hey mate, cheers for the amazing video. Just a couple of questions please. How easy/difficult it is to remove it? And whether they have any other colors of the logo? Specifically, white Ford writing/word. I am happy with the small size of the vinyl that allows the chrome part to be visible, it's perfect.
Hey, i believe they have several different types of colors and styles, once you search you'll see all the options available, in etsy just type in 'Ford Maverick emblem overlay'
I did this on the front and back of my Maverick and I didn’t have that many problems. I didn’t use any heat either.

That came out great! Is yours the carbonized gray color? Mine is and I’ve been researching and wanting to do the black lettering for the tailgate. What do you recommend for the best type of quality lettering?
Yup carbonized gray, honestly I just searched on Amazon and Etsy and looked for the one with the most purchases at the time and the best reviews, I think I had a link in the description for the one I used.

Unbelievable how many a-hole comments there are. He didnt make the vinyl, hes simply showing the install. The title states Emblem Overlay Vinyl, so if you see that along with a 21min video and you already know everything about 'stickers' then kick rox and keep moving. You're more than welcomed to create your own video on anything you want. Then you too can be shredded on how shi++y it turned out. Smfh...nothing like toxic people showing appreciation for your time ☠️
Hey Karen, I think some people have wayyyy to much time on their hands and in all honestly live a very sad and angry life where they see the internet as an outlet to be useless in a more or less public view. It is what it is, impossible to avoid it really lol

Yea going on a bit more than a year and they still look great… the install and care in installing will make or break how long they last.. just take your time and reduce all the wrinkles and creases and it’ll last quite a bit

Nice! The badge looks more subtle. And New York change their plate design again? No more "gold" plates? It's been years since I moved away from NY.
Yup!! Haha they moved away from the taxi puke yellow to this new white design.. I prefer this a lot more!
Once you hit it with the heat, you can work those creases out. Looks good! 👍

Are you by chance selling the Ford logo? I have carbonized gray and I would do the same thing looks really sharp

It is too bad the emblem does Not match the original Ford Letters of the original Badge... Very distracting...The Overlay letters were printed too low and this is not good... No thank you... Appreciate the video !
This is one long video that prompted me to not want to do the install. The emblem is to much effort for install and offer not upgrade of the original.

I'm thinking vinyl wrap the entire badge including chrome and then apply FORD (lettering only) decal over wrap.
Yea I wanted to give the vinyl overlay from Etsy a shot, deff not a fan of the chrome still showing.. once the temps here climb above 60 I’ll redo it all with regular vinyl wrap.

Lol I mean it does add an extra 20hp so as long as the engine can handle it the warranty is fine ;)
The ford logo is on the steering wheel too need to go. Ford need to update their logo.. im not a big fan of the blue logo.. but my maverick is velocity blue so its okay…
i wouldn’t pull the whole backing off, start at one edge and pull it as you go.
Yea it’s hard to center it since it’s the exact shape.. in the summer I’ll probably remove it and do the whole thing including the chrome
Its a sticker, if people dont know how to put it on straight they need to go back to kindergarten.

Just my own opinion, but I liked the original emblem better.
Personally I think the giant blue Ford oval looks absolutely horrendous but I respect your opinion and differences in opinion are what makes the world an interesting place :)

Hey Craig, so far both my vinyl emblem and tint on the twilight are looking flawless aside from all the road salt here in NY lol… it’s a good call to either do it in a heated garage or in the summer months
Don’t do it in weather below 60 f or above 90f in between you should be fine
Do they make ones that cover the chrome too?
I believe they make covers for that, can find it on Amazon I believe.. awesome profile pic btw lol

No, it is more important to get the letters on Top positioned Perfectly on the Letters Underneath.... You do not have that, and never said anything about this.....

i like the look, but I feel like he didn't get it aligned right. and you can see the original ford logo slightly above it. Good in concept though. maybe I'll get one and have a pro vinyl guy install it perfectly. Sometimes its OK to pay a pro for a pro look.
@@bradsechrist9746 That is also the first thing I noticed - the letters are not laying on each other perfectly,, and it is because they were added to the vinyl in the wrong place.. And apparently NO ONE did a Test of it, before selling them... Sad....
So trashly looking. You can see the outline of the old emblem behind it. Just looks really cheap and nasty. Why did you have to use heat on it anyway? I wrap cars for a living. We use as little heat as possible. On a flat surface, we would NEVER use heat. Trashy looking now.
