Loving the budget builds!
@sese... 💕💕 stop it
lmao
@sese... 💕💕 U again?!
@sese... 💕💕 bot
Why didn't tell us you are a cousin of Jeff Hu?
Apple: We'll pair the housing to the circuit board in the next model.
@sese... 💕💕 YOU THINK WE ARE DUMBASSES YOU VIRUS BOT!?
Don’t Give Them Ideas👽
@@YourLocalHandle 💀💀💀
@@YourLocalHandle Bro they won’t go away and UA-cam doesn’t give a shit. Just move on.
@@markm0000 🤣🤣
While watching, I always imagine someone from appl watching these video intently and taking notes about the next thing to lockdown or make hard to replace.
Grt vid
*Damn! A car restoration video looked more simple than this. You have nerves of steel mate. Kudos to you.*
I am amazed how much more complex they were able to make the teardown process when compared to earlier models.
My friend, I admire your skills, and most of all, your patience, with all due respect.
It's satisfying to see you repair all these phones. I wish I had your knowledge on the field, never would I buy anything new.
I can't imagine how proud you must be after each repair.
Good work mate 👍🏾
Learning to repair things isn't too difficult if you have the proper guides and tools. Perhaps you should try using an ifixit guide to open an old phone you have (and don't care about) and try taking stuff out and putting it back in.
Hey bro if you put the time and effort into a passion u truly love its a easy learn and u will master it, keep ya head up
Feels strange finding a comment without a gore related bot spam, GG UA-cam -_-
It's a girls phone.
@@travisash8180 How can a phone be a “girls phone.”
Imo the phone looked more expensive and elegant in its stock configuration, the excessive gold and diamonds look tacky and extremely cheap.
imo its an ugly ass cheap looking phone to start with
the right phone for ap up n comer drug dealer
the original gold finish looks tacky and cheap too imo
Still too expensive a conversion as well although enjoyable to watch Hugh doing it. The Caviar thing is so niche that most people would think that iPhone just has a really nasty blingy case fitted!
Same goes for Rolls-Royce or Lamborghinis where some people feel compelled to stick lots of stuff on, gold plated spinners, pearlescent paint, white leather etc. Yes, it is possible to ruin even very good design
Your knowledge and patience are very impressive!! So many opportunities for mistakes and you dodged them all.
Thank you!
17:23 Manufactured diamond and cubic zirconia _are not_ the same thing, the mined diamond industry just wants you to think that. Cubic zirconia is its own gemstone, made of crystalline zirconium dioxide, while manufactured diamond is crystalline carbon - in other words, _chemically identical_ to mined diamond in every way save for potential contaminants and/or inclusions.
another surprising thing is artificial diamonds are free of any inclusions and defects than their natural counter parts. aka artificial diamonds are more perfect than natural ones
@@lordjaashin that would make natural diamonds more unique tho. Since manufactured diamonds are all perfect
@@alvinseamstar817 You can manufacture defects if you really wanted to.
@@OhSoTiredMan then why don't manufacturers do that? One of the few ways that are able to differentiate real and manufactured diamonds are the defects. If you could mimic the defects as well there would be no way to differentiate them and the inflated "real" diamond market would crash
@@alvinseamstar817 It's all manufactured value for a shiny stone anyways. With "lab created" diamonds, you take away the alleged "rarity" of a natural diamond, but why the hell should we care? The non natural ones are just as pretty with no defects. Plus, diamonds are mined by the ton and the waste from carving them is thrown away. That's why you can buy natural mini diamonds by the pound for cheap.
In my opinion, diamonds are a scam. Then again, the only reason things have value is because it's what people are willing to pay for them. This could easily turn into an argument of exorbitance and why we as humans waste resources for seemingly worthless things, but how about we just skip that part and move on with our lives and opinions. If you agree with me, cool! If not, I don't really care what you think- so please don't waste your time trying to argue. I hate that I have to type that out every time I say something on the internet, but that's just the way things are. No offence meant to anyone.
Good?
Good.
Imagine Hugh takes a lunch break and a cat jumps up on his magnetic mat and plays with all the parts. Awesome video sir.
I watch his videos for its therapeutic effect. The voice over is soothing that it makes me fall asleep faster.
Nice project - though that took a lot of time and patience! It looks like these iPhones are needlessly overcomplicated to repair and disassemble.
I also wonder if 3G/4G/5G signal strength has also been impacted by that metal back...
the back should have no affect on the 3G/4G/5G antenna if you look at the 4 corners of the iphone there is 4 non metallic strips which are there for the antennas and to allows the signals
hi there!
The back is glass…
@Eye-Ay-En Did you watch the video fool
Awesome stuff Hugh!❤️
Hugh straight up called us all poor
This is so satisfying tbh, despite the housing making the phone look cheap. The lightshow in the end is absolutely amazing.
Finally an iPhone 12 pro max mod
Hey hugh best youtuver ever
So if that is not the Caviar product itself then what is it? Either way. Although I don't fancy these types of looks on a phone, I must admit that the whole process was enjoyable to watch. Keep it up mate.
Your mum's phone
She been diggin the gold recently
@@Niggafucker69 you’re not funny
@@poble ikr
Different screws with different screw heads have different torx pressure. I can only assume they use Phillips around the housing because there’s more of a solid base behind it so more you can exert more force for tightening whereas more fragile components can’t have this so the tri wing head allows for less pressure and more of a ‘holding into place’ instead of tightening into place if that makes sense?
The real luxury is inside the gorgeous design and architecture of components
This build has huge disadvantages
1. Apple repairability
2. Everybody will want to steal your phone
3. Why the hell do you want that
And u can’t put on a case
@@simplycoffecake5477 To be fair I think it's solid enough not to need one... and you'd not build a diamond iPhone to then hide it... but yeah that's true
Hi guys welcome to another Hugh Jeffrey's video. Gotta love it :)
hey Hugh Jeffreys you are the best restorer ever and the best youtuber ever
Now this is just insane! Keep up the great builds
I like that design not for its gold or the diamonds, but the fact that it just has its cameras protruding without a square
Amazing ending!!!!!
8:55 you are a very patient man.
Perfect outro mate! That’s was the cinematic view of the Gold Housing! Love it though!
Amazing Hugh Keep it up you’ve inspired me so much!
We'll laugh at this when Apple starts pairing the phones body to the motherboard.
Fr
At least they were cubic zirconias, and not plastic. Looks awesome Hugh 👌
ah my god it looks so fancy and decadent, I love it!
I love how clean the camera array looks now without the acrylic square
Its Glass though, the whole back including the camera array (originally)
Apple: brings out iPhone. 14
Hugh: "hi guys welcome back to another Hugh Jeffreys video today we will be restoring the new iPhone 14"
It looks amazing!!! (if you turn off the lights)
Gilded products always look tacky.
Also me: Considered buying golden iPad.
It would be cool if Vertu made housings with brushed metal and leather for iPhones 🤑
Incredible video Hugh! My guess would be Apple makes the process of disassembly extremely difficult to prevent the masses from repairs themselves.
I enjoy your videos Hugh, and the amount of patience you exhibit is saintly! Not to mention your knowledge and skills. Question: Are the majority of these repairs/upgrades a one-day project, or do most/many take multiple days to complete? Thanks so much for sharing your videos with us. God bless, and cheers from Kansas. Rev. D.
Awesome video loved this one 👍
What a stunning look to the iPhone good job Hugh ☺️
Hands of a surgeon
Love the gold build iphones
Sunday and a Hugh Jeffrey’s video
I can’t see me running out and getting this conversion. But it’s great to see what it takes to do a complete change.
Bloody beautiful, mate. I'd say the total spend is more than reasonable when you factor in how much they cost when new
Love these iPhone videos I’m watching them every sunday
Love his videos
So satisfing when it's done
I would love to see metal back, normal one, so after dropping it, it won't be breaking.
I still don't see how you can remember where all those tiny pieces and screws go back. I can barely do a battery and screen repair. This is amazing.
WoW a work of a magician, what thoroughness, WoW thank you for sharing this video
This video’s gonna blow up. Mark my words.
You are the best. I shared this video with everyone I know. You deserve a lot of fancy tech.
Mate your nearly at 1 million subs .. keep up the great work 🤟🏼
He isn’t now, and definitely wasn’t back then either. He’s 250k away from it.
Hey Hugh Jeffreys I watching you make custom iPhone's that gold custom iPhone looks really cool I would love too try too do that on one my iPhone's that I have but I don't have the stuff too do it with.
It looks so difficult just looking at it . You are doing great my buddy .😊
Don't forget that crunch
I'm very glad Apple isn't using those one-way screws where it's stripped on the counter-clockwise direction, making it nearly impossible to remove.
Don't give them ideas!
I love all is custom builds
Great content I would like to see more videos like this
8:50 So many parts to be replaced and needs to be put back together for hours!
Those b-roll shots are on point
Speaking out of experience, the fake gold housing will have all the "gold" rubbed off within 6 months making it look really terrible. Those housings all seem to do that after some heavy use. Ever since iphone 4 they have been making these "24ct gold" housings.
1:26 “unscrew the two phillips screws” i was like hold up apple wouldnt change that
Great housing swap there
bruh this is a nightmare. ive done iphones 6 to 12 and the latest is by far the most time consuming. I genuinly admire your patience.
Great video. It was only when I changed the battery in my own phone (inspired by this channel) that I got to see just how small everything is.
what will happen if you plug in the spare face id while the Iphone is still on is will you still get the exact same error
Jimmy Space will love his new phone
Wow even apple can’t even have limited iPhone models just like this
Goodluck restoring it.
1:25 wait philip screws, I thought they would use pentalobe.
I love this even if it's only to undercut the atrocious "luxury" phone industry. These products are beyond overpriced, hideously over-designed, and only attract the most fake kind of person.
i agree, they're over priced for what they are but they're still cheap, samsungs cost the same so in my eyes its not like only wealthy people can afford them even though thats what the vast majority assumes for some reason
Yeah these phones are just a slap in the face. Manufactured e-waste you can say but on a larger scale, and its aesthetics are so shit that the stock version is much nicer
But this build was so satisfying to watch.
wow that looks amazing
now these are the videos that i love keep up the good work
Can you stop spamming me I know this is a scam that no one will fall for
Dankpods + Hugh Jeffreys collab PLEASE
Im working to get to your level you make it look so easy
This is so pretty
Can you Do a custom gold plated samsung or android
So Could you Converter to USB Lighting to type-c iPhone
It genuinely wouldn't surprise me if Apple discovers a way to physically destroy parts if you try to remove them from their phones.
Thats a special iPhone the first 2 screws are Phillips wow😅
background song at 6:36 (take you home tonight - Vibe Tracks) is LIT!! 🔥🔥 ❤❤
Elegant wouldn't be my word for this...
Talented dude
Love your work! It's probably just pareidolia, but I swear I see a face in the LED flash during the beginning of the video at 16 seconds or so!!
I don’t even fix phones but I love your videos
This is absolutely insane. I could never be able to do this
Understandable
,Have A Nice Day!
Yeah, that's subtle.
You did great work. I do not like gold but this is a keeper.
That phone is Trumptastic...I'm sure Tim Apple will agree
The real magic ✨✨✨ 16:49 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩😍 ✨✨✨
As max verstappen says simply amazing 🤩
Now that’s cool!
This was so satisfying to watch
Amazing and expensive
Simple Awesome ✌️ ✌️ ✌️ you are a super talented human being 💐🙏
I LOVE GOOOAAAAAAALD!
But can you replace it's camera
Way better, way more profitable than e-waste. If only Apple condones this kind of repair.
Bling ✨ Bling ✨
