It might sound like a lot of work, but if it means that I don't run into roadblocks keeping me from playing certain games on it, then I'd say it's worth it. PSN won't be here forever. I beat Infamous 1 and 2 with the collection they released, but it wasn't until I beat the second when I thought, "ok, cool, now where's the DLC? :D", before realizing that it was a code that I didn't have cause I got the games used. :( Well, it would be expired I assume. Though the *_caugh_*_ internet _*_caugh_* helped sort me out pretty easily for something I paid for anyways. It's nice that it's on PSNow, sure, but like this guy said streaming isn't ideal especially when I have the console right here. Just keep modding in mind, it's not difficult for the PS3 and it keeps annoying restrictions from getting in the way. Just, you know, don't go online with it.

Hell yeah I love this DLC, it really bums me out nobody talks about this DLC game since I think this game is really awesome and plus I really love vampire stuff so I might be a little bias Lol
The UGC was available even when you didn't have the Festival of Blood DLC and it was a huge part of me replaying Infamous 2 back then. I remember someone basically made a Walking Dead series of missions, which was surprisingly interesting to play through (maybe because I never watched the show) I also spent countless hours just setting up Militia, Corrupted and Ice Soldiers to fight each other for no other reason than I thought it was fun. UGC was essentially a major part of my Infamous 2 experience and why I loved the game so much.
8:48 This isn't true. Killing vampires gave you a decent amount of blood for each one you run a stake through. Not to mention all the blood jars scattered around the city, which refills your blood every time.
One of my favorite bits when I played this a decade ago (my god) was Cole’s line about it being his “civic duty” to destroy the urns. I thought it was so cheesy, but then realized that it made perfect sense as a story being told by Zeke. Gotta love when the devs have details like this (even if it wasn’t intentional).

As someone who loves the inFamous series as well, it's really sad to see that it's gone and forgotten now. Don't get me wrong, Sucker Punch is still fantastic without it. I bought the entire Infamous collection digitally on ps3 so I could try the series for the first time ever after watching someone I know play some of Second Son and First Light. I was far from disappointed from the ps3 games :D Although I did screw up and play Festival of Blood before playing Infamous 2 lol
Damn, now I'm happy that I had bought it on the PS3 when I did many years ago, alongside other games like Scott Pilgrim. Good video, by the way! I love the two inFamous standalone games so much, but I do think Festival of Blood has a nice aesthetic.
I remember this game being so short as a big point of contention when I played it at the time and the powers lacking variety considering you are a vampire now. Despite me preferring Infamous 2 over Red Dead Redemption, Undead Nightmare was definitely the far superior expansion if the latter is glitchy with the latest patch.
I love that this was essentially a Halloween expansion. I honestly wished that more games did Halloween or heck holiday expansions (like Saints Row 4) for gamers to indulge in during seasonal times of the year. Halloween especially grants opportunities to do non canon “tree house of horror” levels creativity to branch outside the box. Imagine if Assassins creed 3 had a sort of Salem witch hunt dlc where it showed how hollow the crusade was guilt blaming the innocent only to reveal that there WAS witches involved pulling strings behind the scenes. Or if uncharted dealt with Nate or even Chloe uncovering something Samhain related and realizing “oh shoot. We screwed up and set off monsters we have to find this trinket or else have to run away from monsters on a daily basis” Or even in games already dipped in horror like Left4Dead doing something that has the cast of characters not dealing with Zombies like usual but rather fish like creatures straight out of the Shadow over Innsmouth THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS GUYS!!!

I actually just played and 100%ed this game for the first time not that long ago, it was sometime in march IIRC and UGC isn't actually offline it's just kind of tempermental, it works better if you use the search functions and play them from the menu as opposed to trying to load missions found in the overworld. I did play it on my old PS3 though so maybe it is offline in the PSNow version. It could also possibly be a regional issue, but it isn't completely gone yet.

I played the game back in the day and the UGC was awesome (for both 2 and festival), you could stage huge fights with all (except bosses but mini bosses were available) the games NPCs and change their individual affiliation and it was a good tool to create scripted sequences. Also the alternate skin was way cooler in festival

I've played the first and second infamous games almost too much but I only discovered this dlc a few years back on UA-cam. I've never played it and from what I've seen it looks fun and an actual dlc not just a few different skins and a new take on a boss fight or something. Also if you think about the "good ending" as cannon in the infamous series then this makes sense not being cannon. But if you think of the "bad ending" as the cannon one then it presents an interesting take on the morality of the situation and if killing people so cole is at 100% is ok

Great to see more content about infamous! Regarding difficulty level: the game's let you know to not burst into a fight, Cole's damage output is way higher than his durability. Though I wouldn't call him a glass cannon, he can heal himself after all, so I think a hit & run bruiser type of fighter fits well. For me, this kind of high risk high reward approach went well and while sometimes frustrating like the shotgun iclings, it adds more movement in a fight than Just standing back and firing away.

Great to see more content about infamous! Regarding difficulty level: the game's let you know to not burst into a fight, Cole's damage output is way higher than his durability.
Though I wouldn't call him a glass cannon, he can heal himself after all, so I think a hit & run bruiser type of fighter fits well.
For me, this kind of high risk high reward approach went well and while sometimes frustrating like the shotgun iclings, it adds more movement in a fight than Just standing back and firing away.
The user generated levels are not offline. I played the game for the first time this may on my PS3 and they worked for me
Honestly I wondered about this expansion/game, and wished I played this alongside the second.
so cool, im replaying this game now on my ps3, so fun but wayyy too short, i think you can buy it as a bundle on the ps3 store
For the most part really good gameplay and enjoyed the new powers it was just on the short side so i felt i couldn't really home in on them
