*Mortarion looks around and finds himself surrounded by a lunatic bezerker, murder Batman, a religious fanatic, a pair of twins who can’t stop lying, a guy more obsessed with perfection than fighting, a gigantic nipple horned wizard and Horus who at this point has become just a waking conduit for the Chaos Gods*
Mortarion: Oh shit, the Khan was right.
Then there's perturabo, who is basically carrying the whole thing
@@Mad_Italian Can’t believe I forgot Peter Turbo
@@Mad_Italian well Magnymagic isn't even here to fight for he is just there for answers 😂😂 also said brother who he condemned so much for being a psyker used his power even as a shattered depressed angry mess to take his pain away 😂😂
@@Mad_Italianyeah without perturabo entire heresy would fall apart before terra
@@Galactus78 Like everyone else. That's kind of the point.
You can really feel Mortarion grasping at straws, by sunk cost fallacy and stubbornness. But Jaghatai is insightful and has more common sense, he deconstructed why the current course of action would be counter to Mortarion's goals, ineffective given his skill set and ultimately a disservice to humanity. He also pointed out how altogether its hypocritical, since he is forsaken his philosophy for the sake of sating nursed resentment. But its wasted, in the same way Russ' efforts to aid Angron fell on deaf ears.
He never used the sunk cost fallacy. If you listen, you see he's lamenting his effort in mock disappointment. He just said "I put a lot of energy in coming here, what a shame".
I respect the Kahn.
Moments like this are why Jaghatai is my favorite Primarch and the legion I field.
booya! truth!
I really want to have a White Scars army but the prospect of painting the white armor is so intimidating
@@spacepope7867 yeah, when I got back into the hobby I didn’t know white was so difficult to paint. The trick is to use rattle cans for the main part of the white, I use corax white which is a bit grey then use pure white for highlighting.
Man of culture unite
This is perhaps the best version of Jaghatai Kahn’s voice I’ve heard thus far.
The quiet way he appraises Mortarion’s words…followed by his unyielding judgement…is perfect.
I’d say that Mortarion is also voiced superbly; but there are a few ways to play his character.
Thank you, that's very kind of you to say
Jagathai straight bodied Mortarion in every way, because it's true.
Mortarion hs always been a slave to witches, and that was ultimately fulfilled with his fall to Chaos. Funny how 10,000 yrs later Gulliman hits him with the same shit and you can just tell Mortarion knows others are right, but is just drowning in copium. Still spamming the "Daddy didn't love me" button.
To be fair, his dad did have them kill a lot of people..
It is about Emperor killed his "Father" instead of him.
He conveniently ignored that his necromancer "Father" already defeated him and about to finish the job when Big E stepped in. Big E didn't kill-steal, Mortarion had his chance and failed😂 Big E saved him...
Mortarion like a petulant child convinced of his own superiority, and Jaghatai Chad with pristine clear and pure vision seeing the mistake that Mortarion is too fool to see
The irony of Mortarion argument about is father using the warp and stuff is that the Emp was planning to do just that really cordon humanity off from the danger of the warp with the webway
Even after Nurgle's gifts that burn still hurts
Well Nurgle himself and the Garden itself was burned,so that's enough proofs he aint so indestructible as he claims to be
The "Fruits of treachery" line was so badass! Excellent writing and video
Mortarion joined chaos in order to save his sons suffering from the destroyer plague. I follow the death guard on and on cause mortarion was conflicted and cared for his sons. When nurgle got to him he was already dead mentally
He should’ve let go of his grudge with the emperor. I absolutely understand Kurze , Angron or ( to a degree ) Lorgar for hating the emperor.
But Mortarion ? He had it easy really and he was listened , the council of nikea is proof that his voice mattered .
The funny thing is jagatai might very well have joined the rebellion if the primarch hadn’t use chaos he saw the emperor as a tyrant just knew he would lose had he refused to join but he also know that making deal with chaos was stupid as literal hell
@@stormbringer2840 late to the party, but Horus did manipulate mortarion, the scars from barbarous were deeper than his father, the pale king book kinda shows his contempt for the inperium and has some good arguements
Proof only that you have not read enough. Mortarion chose his fate.
Mortarion one of the primarchs who helped the doom of Magnus and Prospero who hated the phykic powers so much yet when it was convinient to him after realizing he was one had no problem doing the same thing he condemned his brother for. Mortarion is one of the BIGGEST hypocrites of the primarch alongside Leman , Perturabo and even Magnus who refuses to see his errors. But unlike these three he isn't likable in the slightest.
3:22 Mortarion- "The warp is a sickness a blight, it should have been cordened off putten away forgotten about, its not for us"....proceeds to sell his soul to the warp.
Huh, Jaghatai seem to had prophetic gift as well, saying that forces of Chaos were about to collect Mortarion.
The funny thing is jagatai might very well have joined the rebellion if the primarch hadn’t use chaos he saw the emperor as a tyrant just knew he would lose had he refused to join but he also know that making deal with chaos was stupid as literal hell
The Kahn must have borrowed something from Vulcan because he is throwing out some serious BURNS!!!
McJag is badass because he always knew he could go against the Emperors direct orders or bend his laws but remain loyal to him. The big E knew this, and the Khan wasn't a little beeotch to whine about not being able to do things his own way like Morty, Horus or and Tom Curze
OH MY GOD HE’S SO GODDAMN COOL
Anybody else get General Grevious vibes from Mortarion here?
Yup
Very nice, would love to see more of this👌
Jesus christ his judge of character and his delivery of his assessment is more vile than even Mortarion could handle
Khan permanently scarred Morty mentally.
I thought Leman Russ was the buggest hypocrite of the Primarchs, but I think Mortarion holds the crown...
what god the white scars would pray to.
Probably tzeentch because of stormseer’s wouldn’t be Nurgle or khorne I guess slaanesh but they’d really have to push that if not tzeentch they’d probably be undivided
Slaneesh actually wanted the Khan originally but due to the interference of Cegorach the Khan and Fulcrim swapped planets and thus changed their destinies. Hence why the Khan is always smiling and laughing in battle
Wonder why Slaanesh would want Khan
@@ranfan1820 Slaneesh wanted the white scars because of their innate desire for freedom and speed
Sonic the Hedgehog.
I wonder how it would've turned out if Morty was a demon
Well done 👏
Mortarion: the emperor save my life because im to useless to kill a magician, he save I hated for it, he try to be nice to me, thats purr evil.
jag and morty would have been great to see..
The Khan is definitely one of my favorite primarchs.
Mortarions voice here was 💯
The whole video feels like the virgin vs chad meme.
I respect the Kahn.
Khan was an absolute beast in 1 on 1. No other could match him
Masterful work
Cool beans.
Fucking awesome dude. Nice.
Damn!!! Damn!!!
BING JELKING 🥶🥶🥶
Jagathai GOAT
Lmao said the Great Khan
Wasnt this from Scars?
According to the reddit post, its from the book Warhawk
War hawk of Chigoris the cover with him running towards mortarion on some stairs on prospero actually ordered that as a poster it’s my favorite art
@@Mad_Italian it’s not in Warhawk I think it’s in Scars. Warhawk is when they face each other on Terra, this was when Morty tried to convince him to join Horus. Great video none the less!
@@morrettigames5153 Your right, it is from scars, my mistake
Lol
This is why I love the Khan.
The other loyalist Primarchs would have given a speech of glory and honour, and a lecture on betrayal and the dangers of chaos.
Khan forgoes all that shit and is just says shit how it is. Beyond even honour - Mortarion has surrounded himself with madmen, sided with the faction that has MORE sorcerors, and proven himself overall a hypocrite and failure.
If his great plan was to cut off the witches and the warp - if its a sickness like mortarion says - he has failed beyond failure. He has become a monument to hypocrisy and surrender. Exactly what he least wanted to be.
Khan knows how to hit someone DEEP
