    I love your vedios bro. I hope you continue to make them as a forklift mechanic it's hard to find other people on UA-cam who do what we do. This industry is kind of hidden in the background unfortunately.

It's cool to see mobile tech on the field. nice job you have there!

    Did you check the counter weight bolt before you jacked it up?? I'm only asking because I work for tmh and I jacked the truck up on the counter weight and found the bolt was loose .

    • @theforkliftguy
      @theforkliftguy  Рік тому

      Yes, before jacking it up, definitely check to make sure the bolt isn’t loose. But it’s not like the counter balance will come off. If you notice it’s loose, definitely tighten it.

    How often should a forklift PM be done?
    Also curious your opinion on mobil 1 synthetic. They have some where they guarantee 20,000 miles on a car. Maybe this could help to not do oil changes as often.

    • @theforkliftguy
      @theforkliftguy  2 місяці тому

      Thank you for the kind words!
      PM should done every 200-250 hours or every 3-4 months. If you don’t use it that much, you can do it every 6 months.
      Full synthetic oil is always better. Mobile 1 is what I recommend for sure! 👍🏼. If you can’t afford it, any synthetic brand will work.

    White lithium grease okay for the chain lube?

    • @theforkliftguy
      @theforkliftguy  Рік тому +1

      Yeah it's okay but I recommend either chain lube or a specific lube called "inner slide lube"
      Grease makes the chain really sticky and can dry up quickly. You want to keep the chains wet so they don't get stuck.

    What tipe of greasy you use for the forklift and what tipe of coolant?

    • @theforkliftguy

      I use lithium grease or sometimes I use high temp grease (preferably mobile 1 grease). You can use 50/50 coolant. Typically red or orange colored coolant will work.

    How often would you recommend an owner to service a forklift , grease points , oil change ect .

    • @theforkliftguy
      @theforkliftguy  Рік тому +3

      Depends on how many hours you use it per day. If you use it like 3 hours per day, then I recommend every 3 -4 months minimum.
      If you use it less than an hour per day, I would recommend every 6 months. So twice a year.
      It all depends on how you use it and hard you work the forklift.
