From a welder…..some grades of stainless will hold a magnet…! However, it will be weaker than carbon steel….! Just because a magnet will hold does not necessarily mean it’s not stainless….it means it’s cheap stainless…..lol

I live in denver and i usally dont see trucks with that much rust. I worked on a unit that came from the east cost and was covered in rust and was a complete nightmare only in the east coast do you see that much rust due to all that rain and humidity

I got hired by a forklift company 2 years ago with no prior mechanical experience fresh out of highschool. Was trained as a PM technician. Been doing PMs for 2 years now started at $20 an hour and i’m up to $28 an hour just to do PMs. (My states minimum wage is $7.25). Highly recommend people to get into the trade. Not only is it fun but it pays well.

So before you started looking at this Crown,it was the biggest piece of crap ever, now due to poor maintenance,turns out it's just a lube job ! Not bad after all !

Anything C-5 is made by Crown the old AN-10 AN-15 engine only was made by John Deere the newer AN-20 was when Crown bought the rights to the Deere engine. The C-G line is a rebranded Doosan.

As for your crown trans. I would've at least checked some pressures cold and operating temp. Having stuck inching pedals burn up trans quickly. It could possibly give a heads up if its hurt to prepare the customer in the short term.

Need to talk him into fixing his exhaust. Thats why that air filter is so black

Why do you use 5w20 rather than 10w30?

Gotta love working on Komatsu's. Had to pull the thermostat out of a older '02 model and replace the valve cover gasket and head gasket, still a bit smokey but it works so cant complain.

I love that crane on his truck too. I've been dragging my feet for years on getting one for my F450. I just don't do heavy mobile work, mostly handrails and fences, etc. But c'mon, a good mobile rig gotta have a nice crane. Ya never know. Great work, keep it up! 💪
