- I have dreamed of giving a truck since I was young, this may not be the biggest baddest lift ever, but it keeps the truck reliable and also makes it look badass while doing it! Just needs new wheels and tires to complement the lift now!

My trucks theme os about “reliability”. Then why did you buy a chevy product. It is one of the worst brands unfortunately. I just hope you have the funds to fix it after the warranty ends or trade it in beforehand. Other than that, good video overall.

If you are really thinking about getting a cover, I highly recommend a hard top that folds up, they’re durable and secure, the only downside is if you fold it up you lose some space but it is well worth it. The soft roll up ones just stink, there just can’t compete and a hard cover that doesn’t fold up also sucks because if you want to fit something in there that is big, you have to take the whole cover off and find somewhere to put it. Hard cover tri folds are elite

@@jltsvlogs1837 from someone who's sold hundreds of tonneau covers and fiberglass, there's not a single means of covering a bed that can't be opened with a little effort. Bed covers are meant to keep the honest, honest.... simple as that.

Truck looks great so far. 20 x 10 -24 offset wheels with 33" tires would make this truck look killer. Those type of lifts that stretch the stock components can wear out your front end faster especially CV axles. You will start with this 4" kit and you will get the lift bug and want to go bigger. It gets very addicting haha. Been in the truck scene for a little while now and just started getting into building import cars now hence how i found your channel. Bad ass to see you're doing a truck build!

Step 2: Alignment
Step 3: Load Quad into Truck Bed
Step 4: Service Roads for the Truck & Trails for the Quad

From experience, you may want to look into lift knuckles also with that upper arm angle. I went through several upper arms after my lift install before I got new knuckles

I have been interested in doing this to my 2017 Silverado Z71. I was glad to see that it was pretty straight forward.. I guess there are comparable shocks with the kit.

How are the cv angles? Does the 4wd still work good with this kit? Can I use factory wheels
I just installed this kit on a 2017 Sierra and looks and rides great but I'm a little concerned about the cv angles since there is some smaller angle, they are not straight to the diff. I been looking if someone else installed the kit on a 2016-2018 chevy/gmc to know more details, definitely stock wheels will hit the upper control arms, will need offset wheels or spacers
Vid quality is sick lately but it would be nice to see the bigger screen ratios back like for iPhone X and stuff if that makes sense
you used the wrong side struts for the front, thats why the logos are on the inside

I'm a Chevy guy but I was disappointed when this body style dropped. I have to admit though that it is growing on me and i really like your truck.
Give the lift kit a week and let the struts adjust. I installed a 2.5 in level and it made my truck have a Carolina squat look, weeks later and now it’s lowered in the front due to the adjust period.
Lol you should've dropped it after the front to get that Carolina squat and then do the rear after. but good job

I installed a bilstein level on my truck and I wish I made a video out of it man!!! 📷 I did it outta my works shop because I don’t have a lift or spring compressor at my house haha. Seems like you moved the snap ring to the 6” position on the front, could be wrong but that’s my guess. 😄✌🏻

5:40 the lift comes from the SRRING, not the A arm. The A arm corrects the ball joint angle.
have a question . . . why is it that SUVs equipped with suspension lift have different lift height at the front & rear? for e.g. a lifted 2021 GMC Yukon Denali (1YC) 4WD + 2.0 in. Lift 6.2 V8 5-Dr Full Size SUV (LHD) or a lifted SUZUKI Jimny VX (JB64W) AllGRIP Pro 4WD + 2.0 in. Lift 1.5 Biturbo I4 3-Dr SUV (RHD) . . . both SUVs feature a 2.0 in. lift at the front wheels & 1.5 in. of lift at the rear . . . why is the 1.5 in. lift at the rear less than that of the 2.0 in. lift at front? is it not possible to have the same 2.0 in. of lift both at the front & rear? if not, why? please advise . . .
Did you do anything with exhaust or air filter? Sounds different than my stock silverado

Lift kits don't improve ground clearance. Only larger diameter wheels or portal axles can do that. Lift kits may affect vehicle stability or even cause cracks in chassis or body.

But its a Chevy....I grew up in a GM family that only bought GM cars. Not anymore. I have sold cars for the last 5 years and we have the most issues with GM trucks and big SUVs. Transmission issues mainly. Just had a 2019 Yukon XL traded in with 17k miles. Transmission issues already. Sad. GM trucks look the best IMO but they wont last
i got a 2019 silverado and all i did was put a leveling kit and a trail boss suspension and it tows just fine
So I just had this same kit installed on my Silverado and the from is sitting too high. What was the problem you had the first time you installed the kit? Anybody else have this problem?
I know I’m 2 years late, but have fun trying to park in parking ramps or the wind pushing you around. My trail boss is just to tall.
Get a canopy for your truck so you can carry larger items and not have to worry about them getting wet

Great vids bro! Shouldve mounted the front upper control arms in the exact same angle as you took them off. So the bushings are pre loaded. Or else you have a greater chance to tear the bushings. Nonetheless great video!

Passenger side on chevys sucks for everything. Even changing a passenger headlight in a Chevy takes 4x longer than the driver side.
No one asked but I would much rather have a hydraulic lift and rusted bolts then no rust and a jack .... but having a lift and no rust is an orgasm.

Leave the airdam on unless you actually need the extra ground clearance. You will lose mpg.

Chevy’s should still have torsion keys, so you need to drop the front by adjusting the torsion key
