  • Thanks for joining in on Day 3 of the 5-day fitness challenge for a Healthier New You!!!
    Today's workout is focused on Leg Strength and Cardio in a HIIT style workout! We exercise for 40 seconds, then take a 20 second break and repeat our exercises twice! Enjoy this standing workout and work at your own pace.
    Equipment needed: A sturdy chair.

    I'm a latecomer, it's May of 2023. This is my third day following along. I'm 75, soon to be 76, overweight and out of shape. I'm active with housework and caring for a dog, but I knew I needed more from all the aches and pains I've recently started feeling. I made it through 1/2 the video today and plan to do the rest later today. My plan is to do all five days, then start over with them until I get confident enough to try your other videos. This approach is perfect for me. Thanks so much! BTW, I'm in Birmingham, AL, USA.

    I love the HIIT routines, such a good workout and enjoyable as well. I have done l and 2 and now 3, a bit behind but doing and loving them. Meg really does such an awesome job of putting these routines together. Thank you from Australia.

    Hi Nadine, I have been doing the challenge all week from my friends’ house in Tallahassee Florida. We are in training for walking the Camino Portuguese Coastal Route in the Autumn of this year. We walk longer distances very other day either by increasing our distance or the amount of elevation gain, depending on the trail we decide to walk. I was surprised to learn that northern Florida isn’t as flat as where I live in southwestern Ontario.

    Hi Meg, I didn't know we'd be doing a HIIT workout today. Wow! Ten minutes later and I'm still breathing a little hard. That was awesome! I've done all three days so far and am looking forward to the balance workout tomorrow. Thank you as always!

    Hello Meg This was my first time doing HiiT. These exercises have shown me just how much that the current at home therapy has really not been the best. Almost all of them are done lying down. I know that this 5 day challenge is exactly what I have needed. I plan to continue these even when the challenge is over. Thank you so much for your help. Watching from Massillon Ohio.     I am in Melbourne Australia. I was in hospital for
    2 months. I was in rehab after the hospital. I couldnt walk. I just resumed your exercises which helps, I also still do the exercises given by the physios..

    Hi Meg, thank you for this video. Tuning in from NY. Idid days 1 and 2, and now 3. Ive been focused on Osteoporosis excercises and don't get any cardio. I enjoyed this video. It really worked me. However, my balance isn't good and I had to. hold on to the back of a chair for some of exercises. I hope I got the same benefit. Is there a way to adapt this to a seated position to get the benefit of the arm exercise?
