I would lightly scratch the surface of the vase first. This will help the paint grip onto the glass better and last longer without chipping. Great idea!
it is a Great idea! I've seen some done with spackling.. although the look is awesome, i wasn't sure abt the Dirt rub.. prob wouldn't last unless done while tacky maybe...? plan B dry brush? or ...? suggestions..?
@akaRadar modgepodge could work, try it on a small test surface first. I've always sanded and used a base coat before painting anything and haven't been let down yet 🤞🏼 Good luck! 😀
I would say Put some Long Stemed Cat tails or something like that in it. Plus, I Think, If you sand the Vase a little bit before painting it, It might help the paint to stick to it better. Just my thought. Because Glass takes Coats of paint to make it stick to smoothe glass. Doesnt it? I havent painted glass in a long time, But thats what Im thinking that I remember. 🤔🙂
I did this with dry coffee grounds mixed into my paint on candle holders for my friends wedding. Highly recommend. The texture was awesome and when the candleholders got warm it smelled like coffee.
Prep the surface before painting it. It's like the number one rule of the diy guidebook. This will make your design last longer and reduce paint chipping
Or hear me out ✨ceramic vases of that side are expensive especially for those with lower incomes where as one acrylic bottle is .25 cents and baking soda is also hella cheap and this is a fun and cheaper way to spice up you home✨😍
Definitely cool how it went from glass to ceramic, but a little plain for what you usually do. I think a splash of color even on just the rim would add just enough without taking away from the pot and making it look modern and colorful and unique all at the same time, I’m picturing like a sort of pastel maybe like a mint or pink, seafoam green I think that would add a nice touch❤
Honesty is good for my own mental health. Few years back, I found a big diamond ring in the cupboard I purchased in a moving sales. I returned that ring - and I feel so good about myself. 😊
Awesome! Looks great alone on top of books or could be great for flowers potted or free standing … I wonder how a bunch like 6 different sized ones would look decorativley using color schemes from the colors of your room - I have a coastal themed living room and was thinking that beige white blue navy blue and green differnt sized ones would look good as decoration on a book shelf or something … really interesting idea with incorporating baking soda too I will definitely try that … I wonder if putting marbles or white dollar tree or even beach small rocks in two identical sized ones could make solid book ends for storing books! So many possibilities thanks for the ideas, yours looks amazing!
I have so many Oui jars I’ve been collecting for bathroom storage containers. Last night I thought about painting them today, def going to be trying thiiiisss it’s so smart!!
Saw another UTuber do this nearly the same except she used addy solution to first and 2nd layer of paint. Yours covered so much better and looks SO MUCH BETTER.
I think you should put something in it and on your kitchen table I think it would look so pretty on your kitchen table I love your UA-cam videos❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you for the video I have a couple of Ages and it's been driving me crazy what to do with them I love that idea I can decorate it and do something with those faces decide anything I'm in the cabinet
Put something in it! ❤
So fake😂😂😂
Like some flowers
me too
@@tomaszpietka6714what? But yeah put something in it
She did 🎉 Now You do it
You could use cinnamon, allspice or nutmeg instead of dirt too. Lol
I’m more about the dirt, why waste ingredients while I can use some dirt lol, and it’s just for a decor
@@meatismurder111 I was just making a suggestion, the things that I suggested also smell good and would add that much more to the project.
@@jadeharmon8895and bring bugs
Yes, good idea, I like that combination of spices
In this economy you can only afford to waste spices if you are rich.
I would lightly scratch the surface of the vase first. This will help the paint grip onto the glass better and last longer without chipping.
Great idea!
would modpodge mixed in 1st layer of paint help? .. or modpodge alone 1st?... Or does it have to be lightly sanded? THX for the Tip! 👍🏻

@@hinalshah4092 I agree with your idea.😊
I personally love the transparency of the glass, I would never cover it completely, I'd rather add patterns and put some lights in
I did this with dry coffee grounds mixed into my paint on candle holders for my friends wedding. Highly recommend. The texture was awesome and when the candleholders got warm it smelled like coffee.
Love that idea! ❤
And if you don't really like the people, you coukd use kitty litter....kiddin
Love the smell of coffee! Great idea!! Thanks!
Omg definately gonna use that idea thanks!!
Put like something neutral colored in it
Nice job showing the finished product in the shadows and not close up at all. Really makes me trust that it looks great.
Thanx for bringing that up! And I totally agree bc so often they don't and it's like what's the point!
It looks like a painted vase. You’re not missing much.
good point
Right lmao
Pretty sure if you rub it the acrylic paint is going to slide right off that glass
Cute! You should put some flowers in it
You need a primer and a sealant so you can wash it when it gets dusty or if you put fresh flowers/water in it. Neat idea tho
Good point! 💯
Unless these items are on hand, I should add up all those costs B4 doing another expensive "cost savings" project. Lol
This changes all the dollar tree plain glass vases and jars. Very nice.
That's a great idea to renovate old vase❤
I have a glass vase just like that
Now I know what to do with it. Thanks
I just don't like the color it's very boring
Then paint some color on it :)@@aliciamlagenovich5679

BEAUTIFUL VASE IDEA!❤❤❤❤
My grandmother said you can tell nouveau riche because they have empty vases.
Put what you had in the vase.
Sorry, as a 49 yr ceramist, to me, this looks like something you can find at a goodwill store....
Perhaps, BUT she dint, it's hers, used it before, changed the look and have a different vade....WITHOUT rummaging at Goodwill
