Awesome job brothers!! Snagging is great fun, was out there end of last year with my 5 year old brother in a guided trip that he won for free. I just gotta day the weather was amazing, glassy water, barely any wind and the sun was out. The spookiest were scattered so it was hard to find but not even 5 minutes after putting hooks in the water he had landed an easy 50-60+ pounder by himself. He was so stoked the rest of the trip and still talks about it to this day. Rusty Pritchard was an amazing guide and I’d definently recommend him for any guided trips out there!!
Awesome!! Always love to hear stories of young kids getting hooked on fishing. I have 3 young kids of my own and so ready for the days when we can share memories on the water. Glad you had a good trip and thanks for the support. See ya on the water!
We fish fort gibson dam and it's very unusual for any one person to catch under 3. last Saturday and Sunday we caught 37 total it was a great time and headed back again this weekend
I've snagged some on the Red River in Louisiana at the Lock and Dams but you have to catch and release them here used to be $2700 fine per fish if caught with one or if you keep it out of the water too long. Think the fine has gone down some few years ago but it's still over $1000 per fish.
It’s a lot of fun! Best time out of a boat is in the winter. I think in the fall they get up in the creeks and you can snag them from the bank. Don’t know a lot about them though. Good luck
Just a heads up: use a sling to weigh the fish. Its a lot easier and you dont rip a hole in the fishes mouth. I snag in oklahoma every year for these dinosaurs...have a little more respect! All you have to do is tie a rope around the tail and the bill, pretty simple. Its one thing to cut a hole on a fish that you keep...but this fish was released...try the sling...youll sleep better knowing you didnt slice and dice!
Can't believe you released a fish that was bleeding so bad....I'm all for catch and release, but if the fish you release dies what good are you really doing?
We follow all the proper regulations when we fish. Immediate release of spoonbill is required. More info: www.tulsaworld.com/sportsextra/outdoors/kelly-bostian-paddlefish-mortality-in-catch-and-release-program-is-researched/article_3147b7fa-8b0d-567a-8bec-8c8291fc1e93.html
I never get why people prefer to pull with their left arm, reel with their right--even when they are right handed. They make "left hand" conventional reels, believe me, it must easier.
I’m so confused with the ethics part of this type of fishing. The goal is to literally pull a giant hook into the side of a fish and pull them into the boat. I had a much harder time accepting that fact than worrying about if I was holding them correctly
That is how you catch them. They are going to bleed because you are dragging a hook into them. Hooks are barbless so fall out very easily but does result in blood. Promise no fish was dead or dying
Never understood catch and release, people. Why damage fish, for sport. With no intentions of eating? Like riding in your car, alone. Wearing a face mask... Ignorant. They're delicious 🤤
Yes it is a little strange. They are filter feeders so they don’t eat anything but microscopic plankton floating through the water. They are primarily caught in Oklahoma for their eggs which are used to make caviar.
We just did a paddlefish trip and it was amazing. Remarkable fish! Great video!
Glad to hear it! They are so fun to fight. Thanks!

37!!? Wow that is crazy! I’m going to have to experience that soon.
@@PrestigeWorldwideFishing yessir this is my first year ever catching them and can easily say it's my favorite fish to catch now
I caught one of them the other day in Tennessee

Awesome! I bet that was fun!
I am going to try spoonbill, I do catfish and fish Oklahoma alot.

Just a tip try not to toss tham into the water and instead hold them in the water until they kick off so they can get they're energy back👍👍👍
Lol. Whatever. Yeah go ahead and lean over a boat with a 45lb fish in your arms and gently place it in the water and let it revive. Right.
@@kylehuck8449 clearly you've never caught a big fish so because it's not hard to hold on to them and let them get a bit of energy back
Man I jumped off that high clif up there and never again. @55 and a bad back no more
Lol 😂 we are all too old for that

Absolutely! Appreciate the info.
Adam Cole they don’t care. All that blood and just pokewhole to get weight
I by no means support PETA and stuff but it is because of people like you that those organizations keep growing
You are such a fucking troll
I was here 3 days ago

I have never seen such bad handling of a 🎏 like that if you cant do it by yourself ask someone to help you
Lol yeah we were struggling. I don’t care who you are, those things are awkward. Maybe next time I will just use my baitcaster 😂
I never get why people prefer to pull with their left arm, reel with their right--even when they are right handed. They make "left hand" conventional reels, believe me, it must easier.
I know we're you were
All that blood on the second fish. I don’t understand your handling or snagging strategy at all..

@@PrestigeWorldwideFishing but you still thought it was a good idea to go
Those fish are bleeding. Keep em
You can’t keep them. Everything is within the rules. When you pull a large hook into the side of a fish, it is going to bleed.
Bring back Zach!
I’ll make sure not to swim in the Great Lakes now that sharks are in them
2nd fish they caught is defently dead
Absolutely not.
@@PrestigeWorldwideFishing His gills were bleeding from the hook, how are you gonna say absolutely not?

That really is inacceptible what you do
the truth for me is they taste great cooked.
Really?! Never tried. Do you fry them?
Its disgusting!

I hunt and fish and all that but highly question your behaviour
Uhhh uhh uh uhhhhh uh uhhh
This is bizarre! You troll with a hook and hope you snag a paddlefish? I’ve never heard of this kind of fishing.
Yes it is a little strange. They are filter feeders so they don’t eat anything but microscopic plankton floating through the water. They are primarily caught in Oklahoma for their eggs which are used to make caviar.
Snagging is for the desperate "sportsman"
That's really the only way to catch this specific breed of fish, they are baleen plate feeders
would not subscribe to you, would not follow you and would not fish with you ... where im from this isnt fishing its poaching
Sorry to hear that. We did everything by the rules
