Cleaning the Gelli plate is super easy! Baby wipes are a favorite way to clean the plate - especially while working on it (if you want a clean plate) but also washing it with basic dish detergent and water is great too. Happy printing!
I'm making scrapbook pages for each state I've traveled in (47 so far). Had ideas but wasn't sure until after watching this video. I'm new to Gelli prints. But, now will make prints on maps from each state!! I'll go to AAA to get maps of Alaska and Hawaii. I'm gonna start on this tomorrow since we r in middle of rain storm and good day to stay in!!! Thanks
I liked this idea but wonder if it cab be expanded to be used in other ways too. I thought by the title that all the work would be done on the gelli using acrylics then printed out onto paper from it. I don't own gel medium but do own clear gloss medium and after watching this video will be buying some floating medium to try with this technique. I think this would also be a nice method for adding a clear shimmer, holographic, glitter, etc as a finishing touch over a print.

This is a very good idea. I often want the positive design of the stencil and not the negative spaces. Thank you.
Thank you so much I really really enjoyed watching you creating these different prints and using different colour’s too.
Marvellous. Love the idea. I’m a beginner in this gel plate art. Thank you so much for sharing. Regards from Sydney, Australia.
Oh boy... I'm about to have a BALL! Great ideas! TBS

Love the results you got with this technique. Newbie question; what would recommend as the best way to clean the plate afterwards?
Thanks for sharing this great idea! I am hungry for new techniques using my Gelli plate. I am addicted!!
Great technique - love the look, especially on the music sheets!

what a brilliant technique!!
Wow - just wow. It enables one to show the opposite of a stenciled effect.
I'm sold. That is just awesome.
Looks like fun. Got to try it!

Instead of stain can transparent paint be used? I don't see that anyone from Gelli is actually monitoring responses so if anyone knows thanks!
Great tutorial - thanks
Love this idea! TFS! Great video 💜😄👍
Love this technique!!
Am I correct in assuming you dry the gel print before applying the stain?
That is so COOL!
wow!!!!! Love this! Thanks for sharing!
Very good job!!!
Can I use the matte gel instead of gloss?
Would this work with watercolours?
Thx for the great tute!
I don't know if I will remember even 1/2 of all the cool things you can do with a Gelli mono print
Will matte medium work?
very cool!
Love it!
very very cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good to know, thank you!
Sooo cool 👍
AMAZING!
Amazing....thank you🙋🏻
Great Vid!
wow, love the idea! thx :)
Would have been very helpful if you had slowed down the process and provided some narration. But then what do I know....
I agree! I had to keep going back and watching this video again and again. VERY annoying!
go to 3 dots at top right hand corn. Go to speed of video and slow it down.
I had to change the speed to 1/2 speed! That’s insanely fast! Also, did you clean the plate between uses?
Did anyone else have a hard time getting the gel medium off your plate?
WOW!!! 😀
Not exactly my cup of tea but not bad I guess...
