when I use the mirror modifier, like at 7:55 it doesnt work like in the video, it makes it a weird shape instead of 3d.

Very nice tutorial but i have a question. I tried this with a different axe and the top part of the blade goes back further than the middle point so when i make cuts to fit it, it overlaps on the vertical axis. I hope i have explained this well enough! And a solution would be really helpful!

Very nice tutorial, thx! =) I want to become a 2D concept artist btu my new year's resolution is to get better at blender for that, too!
I just have one question, when I used the mirror modifier I had to choose the x-axis to mirror. When I chose the z axis nothing really happened. There WAS some change but not as in your tutorial. Do you know why that could be?
