- I have spent the last 4 months comparing the most common meal delivery services.
I have found it appears all of them are packaged and shipped from the same facility. They all even used the identical website with almost no differences.
the differences were how they are packaged and how much they cost.
The gold standard was Hello Fresh, who's packaging and cooking instructions made it the most convenient. Dinnerly was the cheapest, but there is added time spent unpacking and sorting out the meals when the delivery arrives, along with needing to view the cooking instructions online or having to print the instructions.
My opinion is with the difference in price between Dinnerly and Hello Fresh......
Dinnerly is the winner, for it's much lower price $80 per week, that gets 4 nights of awesome meals that feed my family of 5 happily. The downside is you will need to print out the cooking instructions and spend I little time sorting each meal from the box when it first arrives.

With Dinnerley I just check that everything is there, and put all the food away like I normally do when I go grocery shopping. Then when I'm cooking I take my phone to read the recipes, get everything I need and start.

Great review. Tried Home Fresh to expensive now doing Every Plate. Same company…$45 every 2 weeks for 2 people

We have been getting EveryPlate for 2 months. We like it. It’s just two of us now so that helps. I get six meals a week for two and it’s 67.00. I might try Dinnerly someday to switch things up. We don’t have a printer though and the thought of having to look at my phone while cooking don’t trill me.
We had our first every plate meal last night it was very easy to prepare and make and was quite delicious! We receive 5 meals that serve 2 for $68 a week including shipping, it breaks down to $13.60 per meal and 6.80 a serving.
It is nice you measure costs and you said the ingredients are the same, but what about the taste of the food?
Some other things to consider when comparing... number of recipes you can choose from every week, how often they repeat, and if they charge a premium for certain meals. I looked at EveryPlate and didn't like that they didn't have too much to choose from and some of their meals were a premium price, like $10 extra for a steak or salmon. Also looked at RealEats which are sous vide meals, and while they look good and are quite convenient, they don't have many different recipes...they repeat from week to week. I ended up trying Marley Spoon because of their $120 off promotion so far and I really love it. They have a large variety of recipes to choose from every week, and I've yet to see repeats. I've been on it for a month now and only had one box where a couple of the produce items must've gotten frozen, but this is winter and that box was delayed due to weather. I don't mind having to rummage through the items to find what I need for a particular recipe... I'd be doing that anyway without a meal kit service. I take everything out and what needs refrigerated I put into a 13x9 baking pan and stick that in the fridge. I get 3 meals a week for 2 people. I think out of all the meals I've had so far, and all different recipes, there was just one I wouldn't reorder. Every recipe has really been delicious.

There are quiet a few tricks you learn along the way. Like when changing your meals, you need to watch for the notes like, $4.99 more per serving, it equals $20 if it's a meal for 4 persons.
I also hate when I make the mistake of not realizing I ordered a vegetarian meal, the photos make it look good and normal. I found you just need to add some chicken or beef to fix it though. lol
I'm still very happy with dinnerly and everyplate for the prices. Introductory prices don't last so I've only tried hellofresh and Marlyspoon for short amounts of time.
If they offered a discount for being a loyal customer I would stay with them.
Your commentary on Marley was very low we heard more paper shuffling than what you were saying

I do believe that Dinnerly is owned by Martha and Marley spoon that is why the boxing style is similar.
Also Every Plate is owned by HelloFresh.
HelloFresh also owns Green Chef.
The thing I don't like is all the packaging. It's costly, and wasteful. Boxes, Ice paks, and plastic plates. Too much waste!
ive thought alot about that too since alot of us are trying to cut down on waste and its actually not alot of waste packaging because the ice pak is water and compostible paper(?) and is similiar to one/two frozen vegetable bags, since the fresh veges arent in the plastic bags like you bring home from the grocery store, they offset/ each other;
theres one medium cardboard box that is compostible or reuseable and is the same material that groceries are delivered to the grocery stores in; plus the various non-paper inner containers could be reused some ways or recycled, the companys would probably be happy to email you and tell you how what recycle category their StayCold packaging fits into.

These kits really fill up the garbage can fast, with all the stuff they use to keep the food cold. Lol
