THANK YOU for taking the time to watch, tried to zest if up a little bit for and let's just say I may even go back and rewatch this one a couple of times. CONGRATULATIONS to all the runners in Chamonix, you are amazing human beings!
This is outstanding footage and captures the atmosphere of the race. Well done for making the last couple of weeks memorable with the build up to the Pikes Peak race and congratulations on your win again. You are truly inspiring and I don’t know how you fit in everything in one day including family! Well done Seth!
@@SethJamesDeMoor it’s a pleasure.. always look forward to your vlogs in the morning 👍& you are positive & always make time for people. You are a good human being 👏

What more could we ask for than to have DGR in full force in Chamonix?? Obviously the entire event was exciting; Courtney's performance was an all-time top 10 in any event. But having you there to capture so much of the essence of UTMB with brilliant cinematography, has been such a gift.
Can I change my mind? I commented on yesterday's that the vlog was my favorite of all, but now, the one today is my favorite! 😄 I can't get enough of them!! Watching and re-watching them!!
great seeing the legend that is Seb Chaigneau on the UTMB camera work. It was Seb's youtube videos back in 2017 that got me into ultra running. awesome coverage Seth.
Your UTMB vlogs are out of this world! I keep watching them over and over again!! My most inspiring moment is seeing Courtney giving hi-fives and smiling at everyone. She is a super ultramarathoner and her personality and humbleness are just AMAZING!! Thank you Seth for inspiring US and the ultrarunners at UTMB!! DGR Strong!!!
QD: the sheer excitement, encouragement and electricity from all of the people in the villages - makes you realize the human sprit reigns strong for everyone and restores your faith and belief in humanity.
9:50 is giving me tears, I crossed this finish line in 2018, and many since, when the flow of emotions and the pride that this runner experienced is happening, this is magic.
The live coverage from the UTMB UA-cam channel and watching the runners in real time was amazing. So inspiring. There were a few moments in the chat where channel followers were trying to spot Seth and everyone else is going, 'who is SJD?'.
The finish of the Men’s OCC race between Albon and Simpson was fantastic as they duelled back and forth, Albon the brilliant allrounder and obstacle course racer, far superior descending, but then Simpson, fast marathon runner and relative newcomer to mountain running making up time and overtaking on the ascents. UTMB did an amazing job of following them both live, and it’s worth going back and watching the stream from last Thursday(?) for this fastest of the UTMB races, even just in the last 2 hours. The Women’s winner Blandine L’Hirondel was very impressive too, watch that name. Well done Seth👍👍🇮🇪🇮🇪
QD: the opportunity to experience it “first-hand” as part of the DGR family. The captured essence of the beautiful landscape and especially the raw emotion of the participants. It truly is MAGIC. Amazing job, Seth.
QD: The juxtapositions of the majestic mountains, the pastries (!), the nighttime storm, the epic journey of the ultra runners, their families (“Allez Papa!”) and crews, your terrific editing, choices of music….it all comes together into a fantastic series of mini documentaries. 1000 Kudos! Martha
QD: Seth, you’re the highlight of UTMB!! Your work ethic and chasing those runners up the hill with all your camera gear - incredible!! You truly made us feel apart of the event! Words can’t describe how thankful and grateful we all are for you! Forever a fan of yours !!
The engagement of the people in the crowds, genuine happiness to be there cheering for the runners…your filming is magical, gorgeous shots of the mountains, river and town ❤️
Just WOW! I loved this vlog so much (may be my new favorite), music and footage was on point, gave me the goosebumps. Still can't believe how you get all this done. Thank for the work you do to share this with the DGR family. Onward and upward!
As a Brit, Robbie vs John in OCC was definitely a highlight for me. The whole coverage was amazing, flipping between the official live footage, your blogs, iRunFar, other Twitter feeds and athlete accounts on IG. I guess the key was ACCESS ALL AREAS, like it's never been before. Thanks for playing your part in this.
@Seth James DeMoor You were at Grand Col Ferret, most probably. A beautiful pass connecting Italy to Switzerland, 2536 m. Should sound like pretty low altitude for a Colorado guy. Greetings from Switzerland!
It’s amazing how you keep posting these breathtaking videos, especially right after winning ( yay!) Pikes Peak! Thank you for putting so much care and effort in all you do. ❤️
WOW SETH!!! These videos are phenomenal. Your droning is second to none and the scenes of the surrounding peaks... don't know what to say. I've ski mountaineered a bunch in that area and the videos truly do the peaks justice. Honestly I'd rather watch these videos than the live coverage! (No I was not paid for this comment ;-))
I would say for me the crowds, definitely was the crowd. They were their for the finishers all the way until the following day. Its definitely inspiring and puts UTMB on the bucket list someday!
There are a few vlogs you have made that I watch multiple times. I’m happy to say this is one of them. I really like your scene changes in this one. You are quite the film maker Seth.
Seth, thank you so much for all the work you put into sharing your experience from the UTMB. This is the first time I've ever really seen the inner workings of this crazy event. Most of the footage I've seen previously were of the runners on the trails and maybe little snippets of them at the feed stations. Seeing more of the overall event, from the mass start, to how the press gets to each site, to the feed stations, to the towns and crowds, etc. If there is an award for cinematography or documentary coverage of the event, you deserve at the very least, to be nominated for it! I hope you got some rest on the flight home!
So many pieces during the race that is hard to choose. The night time must have been crazy being that cold, trully a challenge for all participants. Much appreciated all your coverage, one man team Seth :)
QD: It is so hard to just pick one. First off seeing the joy on finishers faces as they were realizing the culmination of completing an amazing accomplishment & then being able to see that moment they got with the family and especially their children. Next Courtney just dominating so much in her course record run and finishing in the top 10 overall. Finally the production was just incredible both the livestream and then what you are doing Seth. I think at this point it is amazing that you have been able to develop both your running and filming skills to an elite level.
I have enjoyed watching your journey to pursue your running dreams in elite fields but am now realizing just how far you have come in your journey as a film maker! What an amazing documentary!
Seth... you are absolutely Amazing!! We, my husband Jeff and I, loved every minute of your videos... appreciating all of the hard work, sleepless nights and effort you expended to bring "The Magic of UTMB" to our TV screens each day.!!! Thank you for inspiring us to do our best to be there in 2022...[not to run, just to encourage and enjoy the moments] LOL
Beautiful episode! Just love this! Thank you for all your hard work Seth! Music awesome also! The best part is the beautiful scenery and watching the runners truly enjoying it even though its hard!
QD: this year was the first time I was on the actual course during the event. The most exciting part was that I was hiking the Tour du Mont Blanc myself and have seen many runners (including François & Courtney) come past and I walked much of the course before all the runners went over it. Sharing the same trails with these talented people felt really cool
QD: What I most enjoyed was to watch Mimmi Kotka (3rd woman) arriving at the finish line. She has gone through difficult times over the past years and she is a warrior!
Yes indeed! I struggled with her every step the last 10 minutes of live coverage. It was so hard going over the 'bridge' and I felt relieved and exhausted when she made it to the finish line with bloody knees. I loved her comment that I always fall during a race.
These two videos are really great. They are showing the beauty of our sport but also the hard side of it and where it is just nail biting and no fun. Great footage! And thank you for your work and passion you put in. I don't want to think about, what it means to shoot the pictures at all the different locations, editing the material, finding the perfect sounds with the right speed and loading up such a perfect vlog within a day. It takes me ages to do it for my vacation film. Thank you the this side of the UTMB, which cant transport a live stream.
QOD: this video. I was in chamonix a couple years ago, it was great, this vlog made it look so much better. I would say because of the extra scenery and elevation shots. Well done, keep it coming!
You got me so pumped up Seth with those images and the songs you selected. Ready to tackle the day like a champ!! QD: enjoyed watching the live coverage and interact with DGR on discord.
Absolutely epic Vlog today. That’s getting saved!!!! I can’t pick any one point so all of UTMB has been just so inspiring to watch and follow. From their own coverage to your vlogs to waiting on Discord to hear what you’re up to. Just awesome. Now, I still don’t want to run a 100 mile race though!
loved the contrast between the beautiful and comfortable Chamonix and the brutal and treacherous mountain, not only a great view of what the athletes face but also a pithy metaphor for life!
QD: I’m just impressed on what you are capable of doing by yourself and the quality of video, editing, music, etc. Your work ethic is impressive. Thanks for everything you do for the sport 🏃♂️🤙
Absolutely beautiful Vlog with excellent music and angles and sizes Seth your cinematography is next level with UTMB. Question of the day a highlight for me was watching Courtney win this race
Sounds like me last weekend help out at Cascade Crest 100 miler helping at mile 70 aid station from 7pm till 9am and been up since 6am . I got to meet Gary Robbins real nice guy .
Superb video, truly captures the spirit of the race. You are such a dedicated person, be it running or going to lengths to publish quality content. Hats off!
Seth! This video was fantastic, really enjoy watching all your video’s. Amazing you can do all this footage solo. Oh ? For you, what was that last song you had on the video. What a great song choice! Keep on doing what you are doing and congrats on the W! at Pikes Peak.

Butter for our bread!!!
Definitely a Top 3 vid! This one was really cool.
I like how Courtney actually smiled. It may be impossible for her to not.
true that
Knowing she made it square in the lense of the DGR camera? How could she not smile 😊?!
The Wellerman song and the shots during it are something beautiful, great job !
This is outstanding footage and captures the atmosphere of the race. Well done for making the last couple of weeks memorable with the build up to the Pikes Peak race and congratulations on your win again.

Beautiful film with good combination of music. François is a beast he just keeps powering on with the poles. 💪🏻
The contrast toward the beginning between the wind storm and the la-di-da is some of the best editing I’ve seen on the channel!

The UTMB live stream showed only the bright side on the daytime. But you had the skills to show the hard side at night! That’s DGR Strong 💪
Thanks for this crazy video Seth, it was nice to meet you in Chamonix, and really hope to see you one day rocking those paths around the Mont Blanc !
Bring us sugar and tea and rum, Seth is a inspiring chum. Awesome video excellent cinematography. Keep up the great work DGR strong.
