Philippines is known as the Melting Pot of races in Asia. That's why the population naturally look diverse. Being mixed blood is never a question for Filipinos.
We should look into filipino racial Classifications in Spanish Era. If you're gonna try to classify majority of today's population most of us (especially city people) will be classified as "Tornatras".

no not really, it's just their media that shows you a false front that gives foreigners and other countries an inaccurate picture of what Filipinos look, because in reality Filipinos look of Malay descent when you look at Filipinos, Indonesians, Thais and even some Polynesian countries they all look alike because they're all descendants of Australoid Malay race

Even that we get from the people of the neighboring malay peninsula, who came to cohabit with our earliest settlers, way way back before the Spanish conquest. When we see our natives who come down from the mountains, they are short, dark skinned, curly haired, and flat nosed.. most probably our early inhabitants came from the African continent. Philippines was never homogenous, unlike other asian countries whose populace still look generic. Our general populace, even though dominantly malay looking, look diverse because of foreign blood mixes. I myself is filipino, spanish, chinese and portuguese mixed.. i don't look very asian but i'm totally a filipino being born here.

Sometimes korean beauty standard are just so high to the point that people are undergoing surgeries not because they wanted to but because they want to fit in to their own society. Xian Lim, he's handsome, manly, very good actor and very talented. He is very versatile compare to the rest of the actors in Philippines. He's a director, producer, good tv host, song writer, actor, model, singer, and plays all kinds of music instruments. The only thing is that he's not much of a dancer like James Reid and Enrique but over all, he's pretty amazing.

Fun fact (this is just an observation I've had growing up) : In the Philippines, if an actor/actress stars in a movie/teleserye and they receive high praise for it, they will immediately be casted in multiple movies/teleseryes. If it's a love story and the couple is very likable, they will immediately shipped and often casted together as a couple in movies/teleseryes. I don't know why they do this. I mean, you don't see Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt in a movie more than one or two times.
This is three months ago but what you said is true. That's because most of them are real life couples and if they star in a movie, that movie will get more attention so they cast famous actors and actresses/couples in a lot of movies

exactly. napaka BS nung mentality nila na ganyan as if naman na may pala tandaan kung ano yung mukhang pure sa hinde, kaya nakakatamad mga content na ganito di makatotohanan puro may ibang lahi naman yung pinepresent gumagawa tuloy ng expectations sakanila kaya ang pakiramdam nila puro “mixed looking” wala naman mukhang pure na filipino/filipina.

Yeah Filipinos have a super diverse look. But I also understand why foreigners think about stereotypical features/looks. They just tend to think that because many Filo tend to have certain features. I’ve seen many foreigners of different countries react to PH celebs and they always point out how they look mixed. I don’t necessarily blame them because in all honesty the PH looks varies from looking Hispanic, to Chinese, etc. I think it’s just normal to want to categorize certain looks based on certain countries

True...filipinos is a mixed of malays, chinese, spanish and american...and mixed it all together just like diff. spices blended in one and the finish product is pinoy...that is how diverse we are. It doesn't matter what color or language you use but as long as you are filipino by heart and that is all what matters
He doesn't look Filipino. Lol. The word Filipino was invented in the 1800s to identify Spaniards born in the Philippines. There's no such thing as a Filipino race but only Filipino citizenship. Unlike Korea which is very homogeneous, the Philippines is diverse.

We don't look the same as before we got colonized. A lot more pinoys back then had moreno skin, were shorter, dark eyes, big eyes, dark hair, thick hair, etc. Nowadays, Filipinos look light skin. thinner hair, taller, different eye colors, smaller eyes, thin hair, etc

In philippines it's so common to see a mix person like Chinese-filipino, fil-Am, Nigerian-fil, and etc. philippines is so diverse that western people say we look like Mexicans.
Only the ones who are mixed with white person looks closer to hispanic...Latin America is so much more mixed then Philippines....50% of Latin Americans are mixed (indigenous and European) other 50% is white or pure indigenous or african descent, every country has people from those groups, some more white, some more mixed and some more Native Americans
