Check how many World Hip Hop dance competitions they have won in almost all categories Versus every country in the world including the USA. So many US HipHop and rap stars are part Filipino... Even the Jabawockeez are mainly Filipino.

One common thing I heard among non-Filipino listeners across the internet world has always been about how the Filipino language sounds exceptionally good & immensely enjoyable in rap and hiphop, as though it's made especially for this specific genre.. I do agree that our language does sound good in rap, nevertheless, I feel like Filipino sounds awesome in general, and not just in rap or hiphop 🤔💁🏻
I also think that Filipino/Tagalog is something that can be considered as an asset on learning other languages. When you're used to it, your tongue will be much more flexible to the point that yu can copy how other people sound. Some sort of that.
Rap is all about rhymes and syllables. Tagalog is rich with words that has a lot of rhyming syllables at a rap artist's disposal. Other Filipino dialects like Cebuano also has the very same rich words. It's due to the fact that we're under both Spanish and American rule before we had full independence but we carried/borrowed a lot of cultures, including words from both Spanish and English, into our daily lives. Come to think of it, Latino rap artists can come up with insane bars just as Filipino rap artists do. Hell, they can even do double or triple time all night long and not even breaking a sweat. But like any other rap artists regardless of where they come from or what language they speak, Filipino rap artists still refer to the original western hiphop roots in New York as their influence.
Filipino language is tailored to this new era of rap which is heavily influenced by Atlanta’s mumble rap. It’s melodic, percussion friendly and local MCs tend to ride the beat. I don’t see that the same will apply to gangsta rap or boom bap style which was predominant in the 90s until early 00s. That’s why Filipino rap back then lacks the cadence it requires. Some classic US rappers don’t even rhyme but they were able to express themselves and produced a good song since it’s all about content. My only pet peeve when it comes to Filipino rap these days when they twist the pronunciation of a word ending in -wat to sound like -wut just to fit the rhyme scheme. Eventually, the OG language will die if they keep doing that. lol

Filipino language is such a total mystery, it was rightly created to have that perfection in singing and not just that also in rapping. If this could be the next international language next to English. Then we shall see how rich it is. The language speaks in the hearts of hearts, when you speak it you will dig up the deepest corners of the human consciousness with all sincerity like you can speak all the truest words you never spoke in all of your life. That is Filipino to me.
