I never heard the work STEEK before. I was terrified 25+ years ago when I knitted my first Scandinavian pullover in the round and they the pattern called for cutting out the arm holes. Faith in God, I did it. Fortunately, I had sewn before. I swore I would never do another one but you make everything look so easy. Much easier than winging it. My friend wants to make pullovers they find into zippered cardigans. This is great! Thank you so much!

That was so fun with the bobbin running out. I can't tell you how many times I have sewn a number of patches for a quilt with no bobbin. You chuckle, rewind and begin again. You both are very good teachers. This process is fascinating.

I am more of a seamstress than a knitter. It was fascinating to see how you did this and removed the “fear” of cutting the yarn. Carlos, I liked how you shook your hips and showed us that 🎶 the hips don’t lie! 🎵. Great job on filming this Eric; it was very detailed.

I’m really happy you made these tutorials about steering. When I was an exchange student in Norway, I made a traditional Norwegian sweater (a pullover, not a cardigan). My host mother took the body and the sleeves to someone else who did the steering, so I missed out on learning how to assemble my sweater. I’ve been scared of doing it ever since! Maybe now I can feel comfortable doing it myself.

a really good idea when stitching stretchy fabric ( or knitted fabric :-) ) is to use a walking foot so there is no chance of puckering. the walking foot does just that - it WALKS over the knitted fabric instead of bunching it up together. :-)

@@ARNECARLOS Maybe my questions is not phrased correctly, I have knitted a Norwegian sweater (which I have never done before) and decided to make it a cardigan instead of a pullover and never have skeet a sleeve and so lucky for you both because I would be lost!!! The thought of using scissors on my hard work was a nightmare and put it off until I watched your videos over and over again, until I had the courage. I watched you hand sew the shoulder seam and when I did it, there was a slight seam on the right side and don't know what I was doing wrong. I have done the shoulder seam a different way now, and the seam is on the inside but want to know how you did it, to have a flat seam on the right side of the sweater. Please wish me luck because now I have to make the collar and insert a zipper and it would be great if you did a video on that. My grandparents are Norwegian but I learnt on my own and wanted a Norwegian sweater. What a project....but thankyou so much for you videos, you are saving me!!!

so if your machine does a longer stitch length should you use the longest you have?
you use stitch length of 4 but if my machine does say 6 should I use 6 or keep it to 4?
if I used 6 (or more if my machines does it) would I have to go around a few more times with the zig zag or would one or two times still be enough?
might have to knit a few samples and have a play with this.
