Met a lot of great people who came by and said "hi" as well as our Meet N' Greet which had an unbelievable turn-out. Thanks to everyone we met and "selfie" with during the show!
Join us for the RV Supershow in Tampa wrap as we summarize our stay for the week. Plus we take you on a few more tours of cool new RV's on the market.

RV Camping
We like to "Switch it Up" between resorts and campgrounds and boondocking is always an option.
We draw inspiration from Keep Your Daydream KYD, Less Junk More Journey, Finding Our Someday and Changing Lanes. We normally travel in an HDT similar to UA-cam channels Suite Travels, Switch it Up and Watts on Wheels. I also get some ideas from the editing style of Happily Ever Hanks @Happilyeverhanks #thankshanks and believe it or not, I actually learned something from MRBeast Mr Beast video's as well. Our journey is the destination but sometimes, our destination is a destination.
Our journey is the destination. We want to share our experiences of our discovery of What's Next.
I get my music from:
Epidemicsound.com
Tracks:
Outta Here by Jennifer Holm (intro song)
Angel from the Country by Will Harrison
Barefoot by Slowfly
Have it All by Nickolas Jones
I Lean on You by Wildflowers
Over Open Fields by Mid Night
The Mornings on Fire by Isobelle Walton

We use the Open Roads card for diesel fuel and save a bundle each time we fill up our Big Rig. We also use it to fill up our Onan generator.
The big blue boards (XL version) we use sometimes to get us "un-stuck" is from:

Our Class C is built by Thor Motorcoach on a Ford F550 chassis. It's a production build Magnitude model XG32. We tow our red Jeep Wrangler Sahara behind it. We've made some modifications to it so that we can boondock comfortably. Lithium batteries, Victron 3000w multi-plus inverter, dual alternators charge while traveling and mods to the water system greatly enhance its boondocking capabilities.
Our extreme completely custom 5th wheel is built on a semi-trailer chassis with air suspension and air brakes. Completely loaded it weighs 42,000 lbs rolling down the highway. And we do roll down the highway nearly every week. You see, we believe that if your home has wheels they should be used.
Vehicles:
2016 Volvo VNL780 "Voyager"
2016 Smart fortwo "Pathfinder"
2019 SpaceCraft Custom built semi-trailer 5th wheel "Orion"
2023 Thor Magnitude XG32 Class C "Curiosity"
2017 Jeep Wrangler Sahara "Artemis"
Power system:
3250 watts of solar with Panasonic panels
30.1 KWH of Lithium batteries
2- 4K watt Magnum Inverters deliver power as if we are on shore power
2- 4K watt 240v Cotek Inverters deliver additional power for our LG Mini split HVAC and stove
Coachnet is our roadside assistance company we use but hopefully we don't use them too often. LOL
We are not sponsored by Whataburger but I do enjoy them anytime I can get my hands on one. They used to be just out of Texas but they have expanded.

THANK YOU both for your genuine videos
THANK YOU!!!
You're welcome! We appreciate your support.
I liked how that small bathroom split so the toilet and the shower were then separated.
Yes! Hate it when the toilet gets wet.
You guys are so kind to your subscribers. We all feel like you’re the Nextdoor neighbors. But, as well as we know you, you only barely know us. I’m sure it was fun at the meet ups. Friendship and connections is what makes life bountiful!!.,
Boy have I enjoyed this Tampa show. Can’t get enough!
Thanks for taking on this great adventure!
PS. Those Destination trailers are big on the lakes in MN. We drove through a Yr. Round beautiful RV park on the lake we stay at. FANCY, POOL, RESTAURANT, BAR, BIG pavilion
Picnic area, and club house. Impressive. You pay rent and never move the RV unless it’s to a better lot.
Great show!
Again thank you so much!
Snowing right here on the GA Coast! Burrrrrrrrrr🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶
WOW ALL THE GREAT PEOPLE YOU MET, awesome!! 🎉🎉🎉 It’s those connections that make life so full and fun!!.
Such a treat I know 💕
Thanks, Susan. We had never really seen those destination trailers before so it was new to us. Stay warm. Stay off the road.
@@bigtruckbigtravels.Thank you! I’ll be safe. You can hear the ice/rain hitting outside. Happy you are staying in FLA. I hope Sondra’s Mom is in a good place and thriving. I know how we worry over our parents.
Till the next time, be safe and have fun!
It is so great that so many people stopped by to see you. I think the destination trailers are the competition for the tiny home explosion. Thank you for sharing.
You got it. Destination trailers are a great alternative and easier to transport and set up.
Absolutely loved enjoying the show with you guys. Thanks for all the great information and all the pictures of what is out there. Safe trip.
We appreciate you watching and glad you enjoyed it. Safe travels to you too.
24 seconds after uploaded and I already feel like I’m late
😆 🤣 that's funny. We appreciate your time watching... whenever you start!
What a great discussion of options and observations of the RV industry.
Thank you!
Thanks for the great tour!!
You're welcome! We had a blast! Glad you enjoyed it.
Thanks!
Thank you
Thank you both for one of the most informative and entertaining content on UA-cam. I am sorry that I get a chance to meet you. Enjoy your time in Florida. If you decide to to come further south let us know.
Thank you. Headed down to Everglades in February. That should be south enough! 😆 🤣
😀😀😀😀😀😀
First....LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!! Second....we have been hearing that many campgrounds all over the U.S. are starting to limit lengths of campers allowed to camp on the grounds. This has opened class Cs & Bs. As many class As and the long trailers and 5 wheels will no longer be allowed to camp at these locations. Don't know if it is true. Did you guys notice any trends going to "smaller" rigs?
Oh, yeah! It definitely seems like a trend to smaller and more easily maneuverable. They are putting more nice amenities in all of the units now. Thanks for watching and appreciate your time and comments.
Thanks for the additional videos showing various RV's. We noticed your business backgrounds in your comments which means you have a more diverse evaluation,. Of course, we also love your interaction and Davids's jokes.
Thank you. We do tend to look at RV's a little differently than most. Appreciate your time watching the channel. ☺️
When I showered in our 1994 , 21 ft class B, I would battle the shower curtain going up my butt when I bent over to shave my legs.😂😂😂 Now in our 24 ft Class C there is a shower door. 😂😂 I am so spoiled now. 😂😂
It's no fun to fight the shower. It should be a good experience no matter the size. Thanks
Hi dave and sondra, hey thanks for the coverage on the show glad your south of the snow, i totally agree no more snow for me, i dont even consider it pretty anymore ,after working out in it for 35 years i can surely do without it! Youall have a good day, safe trip enjoy the glades 😊
Thanks, we're done with the snow too! We're heading to the Glades later after we visit some "mermaids"! 😆 🤣
Thank you for taking us through the RV show. It looks real interesting. We will have to make a trip to Florida in Jan and attend one. We usually go to Florida in May or June. Thank you for the fun video.
Thanks. You'll really enjoy it. Lots of fun and a ton of RV's.
Thank you from Western Australia 🫡👍🇦🇺🇦🇺❤️
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video. We'd love to get down under one day.
What did you think about the Newmar Supreme Aire? If I can get the money and buy it because it's just 2 of us. Stay safe and happy.
Nice. Newmar makes a nice unit. Good for two. We wouldn't do it as a fulltime rig but it's nice.
Thanks for sharing 😊😊🥰
Appreciate your time watching.
We had a gas-electric-12 volt fridge that couldn't keep the butter hard in high heat and humidity, then we went 12 volt fridge and no problem 👌🇦🇺
They are better now. Thanks
Thanks Sondra for the photo credits! So fun to watch tonight, a nice surprise! If you decide to check out my mirrorless camera while in Bushnell let me know.
Thank you. She's been looking at those and trying to decide on which ones.
I like the fact that some of those RVs appear to have relatively big showers. A lot of times I associate even some of the best of RVs with small shower stalls compared to what one can get in a residential setting.
Very true. They've put a bit more emphasis on the bathroom. Thanks
Amigos, You guys always have great and fun adventures, take care of yourselves and we'll see you soon.
Thank you, we'll be back with more adventures soon! We always appreciate your comments and your time watching the channel. ☺️
Thanks for the tour. Glad you were able to be south of our weather. I’m in eastern Leon county, Tallahassee Florida and we had rain, sleet and snow that all froze over night. It’s is kinda fun but we missed it snowing on my side of town as it was in the middle of the night. Definitely will be very cold until Sunday the 26th of January so hanging out down south a bit longer. Safe travels when you get back to it. Looking forward to seeing where you go next!
We are glad we were able to escape the snow! It looks like you guys got a little. This is a far north as we go (Bushnell) until late March. Heading south in February! Thanks for watching
It’s January 21 as I write this and wondering if you guys reached northern Florida just in time for the winter weather and snow/ice that’s bearing down on the southeast US today…😳
We had our eye on the weather and dodged a bullet! We're south of the nasty stuff near Bushnell.
We enjoyed the meet & greet my husband asked you about axle upgrade and your supply of your cups lol
We were glad to meet you, too! They were interesting and unrelated questions! 😆 Fun to chat. Maybe we'll see you again sometime on the road. Thanks for watching
I'm just hear for the music, just kidding 😂 really enjoyed this & as always thanks for sharing. To cold for us here in east Tennessee for camping so waiting for warm weather. Stay warm & safe.
Hey, I'm good with whatever as long as you're watching! 😆 🤣 Seriously, we really appreciate your time watching the channel. Thank you so very much. 🥰
Great video, y’all! Hope you made it out of FL before the storm hit!! Safe travels!!
Thanks, Mary. We were south of the storm so we were good. Stay safe and warm!
I'm completely blown away by the scale of the show, you would have definitely achieved your steps goal. I do love how humble you guys have remained with all of your new found fame. PS don't think I didn't notice you are nudging 70K . WOW!!!
Thanks for the kind words, Brendan and you are right about the steps goal! It was a marathon of a show! 😊 We met a lot of great people who took the time to see us. Pretty cool. 😆 🤣 Yeah, looks like 70K is around the corner. Wow! Who would have thought?!?
Another great video. It was great meeting both of you at the show. Hope to visit with you more in the glades.
Thank you. It was cool to see everyone. Glad we could meet you. Thanks for watching
Propane fridges were hard to get during Covid times. So the manufacturers just converted to 12V, and sell the efficiency really hard.
Ok, makes sense. Safer too
I think the value is in the C and truck campers over the Bs. It's outrageous the prices on the B, which were pre Covid at $70. I ordered a Tellaro, then got sick and lost my job. Thanks for your tour. I hope to go to the show if i can set up solar and AC this year.❤305.
Yes. The B prices have gone crazy. The Super C's are nice. Thanks
New subscribers, enjoying your very informative content.
Watching from Pickens SC❤
Welcome to the channel! Thanks for watching. We used to live in Greenville. Thanks
Im a big fan of both of you . Never missed any of your videos from way back then . Do what you love and i ll watch it. Lots of love from a fan so far away MALAYSIA🇲🇾
Oh wow! Malaysia! Our rig definitely would not fit over there! Lol 😆 😆 Thank you for watching.
Definitely been missing your guys's shows on here definitely you've opened my eyes on a few things and I'm just can't wait to get my truck from the port and maybe go to spacecraft and order a trailer
That sounds like a great plan. Thanks and appreciate you hanging in there with us.
Thank you! Great video series of the show. I know I've seen it all now with a $100K truck slide in camper!
You just have to see it to believe it! 😉 That's pricey! Thanks for watching
LOVE THE MUSIC ❤️❤️
Thank you!
Awesome video keep up with a great work and be safe out there.
Thank you, we appreciate your support!
It was great to meet you at the RV show and hear your stories at the meet and greet. You are positive and inspiring. Can't wait to see all your 2025 videos.
Thanks, we're happy to be a small part of your RV journey. We're looking forward to next year too!
Enjoyed every minute of it❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Wow! Thank you so very much. 🥰
Thanks for the review… we still geek out over rvs too 🤙
It's fun to check out all the new models. Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks
Great video, great observations. You are getting more and more recognized 😊. Enjoy your 2 months in the South. We have freezing cold in Michigan 🥶. Currently in Germany, feels like spring 😉.
Thank you. We're going to enjoy the sunshine! Enjoy your time in Germany.
Another great video - love your music too!
Appreciate it! Thanks for watching.
Good seeing you guys again. Did you run into snow in Florida?? Stay safe and safe travels.
Great seeing you too! We stayed south of it. No more snow for us!
Appreciate 🇨🇦❤
Thanks. Hugs across the border! 🥰
HEY GUYS VERY INTERESTING VIDEO THERE ALL SO BEAUTIFUL IM AMAZED AT THE FEATURES THEY OFFER THEY HAVE SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE THATS COOL TOO !! I REALY ENJOYED SEEING ALL THE DIFFERENT CAMPERS ETC ! I JUST LOVE YOU GUYS ! HUGE BLESSING ! GREAT PEOPLE THERE IM SURE ! YALL BE SAFE !! 🤗🤗🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
It is truly amazing all the different types of RV's out there. Definitely something for everyone... which, I guess, is the point. 😆 🤣 Thanks for watching
Thought of David. Just used a coupon for the Whataburger Monterey Melt. Just had it for dinner. Very impressed. I will enjoy my other coupon. Be safe Frank/ Kerrville Tx
Sounds tasty. Glad you enjoyed it. I'm jealous since we're in Florida and no Whataburgers are near. Thanks for watching
So great meeting you guys! If your ever in Cape Breton Nova Scotia look us up!
We would love to! Cape Breton is on our bucket list! Maybe next year? Great meeting you. Thanks for watching
We’re moving from a 40ft Momentum 5th wheel to a SuperC. We pick it up next week. We tend to do long trips out west from our home in Florida and the SuperC seems like a better travel option traveling longer distances.
Good choice. You'll lose a little living space but I think driving comfort and safety will be better. You'll love the maneuverability. Thanks for watching
Enjoy our beautiful State.
Thank you. We love coming down to the sunshine state in the winter. So many unique areas to experience.
Never been to an RV show. But as my wife and I are nearing retirement, we are thinking of doing part time RV life. When we do we hope to get a chance to meet you two.
That would be great. We enjoy chatting with everyone. Thanks for watching
Excellent Video very informative
By the way the music is excellent 🤙🤙
Thank you, we appreciate the kind words! We enjoy putting the music in.
Hi from Canada.Interesting video.
Thank you! Hope you enjoy the rest of our Florida travels.
That's so funny. We were eating in the big dome tent and saw you chatting with people and taking pictures. I didn't realize it was a meet-up. I thought you were just trying to get from point A to point B and kept getting stopped. 😅
Great Q & A session. I saw you panning with your phone so I popped up the Mickey ears on my hat. ❤
Safe travels to your next destination. Hope you are steering clear of the super crappy weather. 🤞🚫❄️
- western NY Troy & Aimee
Thanks Troy and Aimee! We enjoyed meeting everyone! Glad you enjoyed the Q&A and nice one on the Mickey ears! 😊
Yay for brown couches! Our rig has off-white “leather” fabric on the couch and it is not compatible with having a dog.
Brown is definitely better for a dog-friendly RV!
Ok we went down to our local fairgrounds for our big RV show and found that our MISSION PROFILE had a change in it! Tow behind is still our preference but found out that some bunk rooms which we have no kids for could be removed and turned into puppy rooms with storage! New mission profile in progress!
That's awesome. I love the "puppy room" idea! We thought about something similar for our Class C but went with a slightly shorter model.
About drains they are following residential house ideas that is the new housing market
Yes and it allows water to drain even if not perfectly level...or if the shower floor installed is not level! Just a thought...🤔😎🤣
That RV Show looks huge!! Hubby and I are going with some friends to the Tacoma RV Show this weekend at the Tacoma Dome. Shouldn't be as big...I hope!! 😂 Thanks for bringing us along on the RV tours. 💜
Hope you guys have a fun time at the Tacoma show! Enjoy all the different units. Tampa is the largest so no worries. Thanks
I would never do a propane/electric fridge again. Fortunately, no fire, but with today's storage batteries, inverters, and solar panels, electric is more than adequate. Thanks for covering the show, not a thing I enjoy doing, but am interested in what's new.
The 12v fridges are amazing. And so much safer than the LP models.
At the Tampa show I learned that the "Show Prices" was dependent on financing at the dealer's preferred lender. The price (at Blue C**pass) went up 30% with "Out the door" pricing.
Wow! That's NOT right! Smacks of being a tad on the crooked side, IMHO.
Great video! Of all the new things you saw, did u see anything that made you say “man I wish we had that!”?
Nope. We talked about that and are very happy with our choice.
I am surprised to see so many people looking at RV's especially since there are so many videos out there on defective brand new ones. The problems seen to be universal with all the companies.
They all have issues. From $1 million dollar rigs to pop ups. It's not if but when something goes wrong... but it's just cool to go camping and traveling in this fashion.
I would love to go to one of these shows .
It does look over whelming tho.
How do you find the next one? Of is the only one for a year?
One more question do they have used ones there?
There are lots of RV shows all across the country. Tampa and Hershey (in September) are the two largest. Pomona, CA has one and, of course, large metro areas such as Houston, Dallas, Chicago, etc... will have them too. No used at these shows, only new. They want to sell you one.
Just deeawteeaw 😊
Oh yeah.
❤❤❤
😊🥰😎🥳
I hope you’re out of the snow.
Thank you! We are south of it so we're good. Hope you're doing good.
Don't get to excited about the 12v fridge, mine was DOA in my brand new trailer. Had to battle with Furrion about warranty on it but at the end of the day I got a brand new one shipped to my house and I replaced it myself. It was a manufacturers defect that I found in the wiring in the control box. Hopefully this one stays working because they are not cheap. I'm happy to start seeing darker colours in the cabinets etc, I don't want anything white with grand kids running around all the time touching everything with their grubby hands.
That is a bummer, but great job getting it fixed. Dark cabinets are better for hiding fingerprints! 😆 🤣 Thanks for watching
So Destination ones are what we call Park Models?
No. They make a distinction between the two. Destination models can be towed with a pick up and set up like an RV.
You look so tall compared to everyone else
😆 🤣 that's because we're not short! Most people are surprised when they meet us. Thanks for watching 😆
@ if you don’t mind me asking, how tall are you? You both look like you towered over everyone else! We were thinking you both were near 5’10” with David being near 6’2”. We knew you are both tall when he steps into shower at the RV show and his head is above the shower head. We adore your videos, popcorn, cuddles with the pups and Thursday night tradition to watch UA-cam and your posts!
@ride4nvd good guess! I'm 6'2" and Sondra is 5'11". Keep cuddling!
Great video ❤ you guys are couple shorty’s in my world 😊
Hopefully you’re staying South of Orlando otherwise it’s cold, possibly ice and snowing to beat the band on the Panhandle.
Just north of there but well south of Tallahassee. 50's here but no snow so we're good. Thanks
What? A travel trailer with 2 bedrooms? That would be so nice.
It was 38 feet long but two bedrooms and two full baths.
Could you provide me with the overall length of your tractor and 5th wheel? thanks
Tractor is 32 feet, 5th wheel is 46'6" so hooked up we're 73 feet long total.
I replied to this comment the same day, thank you for it. I need to pull a 25 ft. long car hauler with a 45 ft. Prevost bus conversion having a total combined length of 75 ft. B.C. Canada has a legal limit of 65 feet as well as many US states.
How do you deal with being over length in some states?
@JakeAadil no issues in 10 years but we try to stay under the radar by not double towing and staying under the speed limit.
@@bigtruckbigtravels Thank you for this advise.
I thought maybe you were selling your RV. LOL. HI FROM CANADA
Nope...not selling! Thanks for watching from Canada! 😆 🤣
Hey how come you didn't say anything about Foretravel motorhomes? Wasn't they there?
They were at the show. We went into a Marathon Coach so that was good on the super pricey side. Foretravel is a nice motorhome for sure. Built in Texas so got to love them!
🎉🎉🎉🤗🤗💕💕🇿🇦🇿🇦📽👍🚐🚐🚐💨
🥰😊😎🥳
$100,000 for a truck camper and then another $100,000 for a truck to put it on, YIKES!
Yep. It ain't cheap to camp!
Good video 😊 just saying financing is high no matter where you are financially but 20 year loans gets expensive and we don't know where economy is going and there repo trucks and rv's but there not taking about it not being negative I can afford it but manufacturers and dealers high prices bad quality 🤔😆 safe travels
Loans for RV's are very expensive. Cash is king... if you can afford it.
gotta admit Sondra, when you start shopping for / talking scrapbooks and stickers etc. I look for the fast forward. Assume a lot of your male followers do the same. Much more interested in the travel. but hey, that's just the way I am,
Appreciate the feedback. It's just about our lifestyle wherever it takes us. There's probably a lot of people that fast forward through my jokes too! 🙃 😆
Dave and Sondra. Hope you enjoyed your visit to the Florida RV Super Show in Tampa. I remember a video last year where you talked about the blue signs at railroad crossings. It just so happens a channel I also watch called "Distant Signals" Just did a video that describes in detail what these blue signs are and how to use them. You are right every crossing has a blue sign like this. Weather its a private crossing with no signal or a major train artary, this blue sign exists just for these types of emergencies. This person is a big rail fan and gives lots of interesting information about the East Coast rail system. I just wanted to pass this on to you. Enjoy: ua-cam.com/video/NTSUMJTpOlc/v-deo.html
That's cool. We never realized it before so that is very interesting. Thank you for watching
Why does he need liquid lunch and can’t eat a turkey sandwhich and has to “soak chips” but he can eat whataburger?
At around the 18 min mark, we explain in the truck cab.ua-cam.com/video/XHyK9ej5qxc/v-deo.html
Super C units are more attractive to women now -- to somewhat explain their increase in sales. They used to be ugly, a real turn-off for me....
That makes sense. they are more maneuverable and have gotten nicer inside too. Thanks
Have they Ban RVs? I heard they would? Talk to Trump to stop it!
😆 🤣 that's funny. No bans...anywhere! You can buy them and drive them to ANY state. A few states were trying to ban sales of a few models of motorhomes starting in 2025. Last year was a whole different world than now.
What is this bouzua thing?
😆 🤣 it's BUJO which is an acronym for Bullet Journaling. Both Sondra and our daughter love it.
