Why do other countries get so much better versions of US restaurants than we get?
The reasoning is twofold.
1. Testing new concepts on a global scale is a great indicator of success or failure prior to domestic implementation / investment.
2. Other cultures value and respect their local establishments and view it as a luxury / treat whereas Americans are entitled and look down upon fast food restaurants and treat it as such.

there is also cost. That same shake that costs 1.5 dollars is like 5 dollars in the US.
If they did this in the US, people would get angry that there is not enough grease in the food and they would demand to speak to the colonel
Americans focus more on quantity rather than quality. Many would pay less for a larger amount rather than pay more for a better quality meal.

Other countries always have better fast food than in the US. I stopped at McDonald's in Thailand (late at night and in a hurry to next flight), the only thing is shares is the name. Quality of ingredients, flavor, and options not available in the US make it so much better. KFC in China looked much more delicious.
every fast food restaurant in different countries have different meals and Mcdonalds in India is kind of better in a big way than Mcdonalds in UK, The fast food in Asia are much better than UK and USA
They’re different because they cater to local tastes. That’s why a Chinese person will prefer a KFC in China whereas someone in Germany would not like it at all and vice versa. I mean, who eats a disgusting food like durian, anyway? And why would they sell it at a restaurant? Why would they sell it period? The chocolate cake they offer in US KFCs would definitely sell much better than some godforsaken fruit/crepe thing. Also, why so much crawfish on everything? Especially at a KFC? If I wanted crawfish on a sandwich I’d fly to Louisiana.
@@cwg73160 I get what your are saying. I got the local specialty while my wife got the Big Mac and fries. The standard fare tasted better even. Also in the US it takes something like 14 ingredients to make the fries because they add artificial stuff while most of the world gets the natural version.

KFC here in India is nice spice, in America it's just crunchy, no flavour unless you get a bucket of ketchup.
And you can get a full meal with large burger, fries, brownie, and Fanta for 200 rupees, around 3 dollar.
Except for real estate costs and workplace hours

I love durian and dragon fruit so much as well, and we have durian pizza in Pizzahot in China, you may try it next time.
I remember in Poland having "fast food" which was polish and it was huge I think it was polish cabbage with like meat perogies. :D That crepe cake ohhhhh. I'm so gonna have that Japanese matcha cheesecake at the boba tea shop in my town.

Even just regular KFC is better in Asia. I tried the egg tarts in the Taiwanese KFC and was blown away. Did not expect to love them. Really like something out of a Cantonese bakery.
