- From mochi shaved ice to giant crispy deep fried squids, homemade pan-fried dumplings to chewy sweet potato balls, and some of the best boba you'll ever get, here's but some of the many, many reasons why the night markets in Taiwan are forever my favorite place to be.

I was at Taiwan last week. It’s a very underrated travel destination. I miss the food, people, culture, and everything about it. I can’t wait to go back!
I wish I had access to that kind of food culture. In the Midwest, I have no such luck. Also--it's frickin cold right now.
I’ve lived in the Midwest for the past year and now Ireland and yeah it’s so hard to hold on to my Taiwanese food culture because none of the ingredients I had to go on a trip to Vancouver to even get the sesame sauce I love
Hello how are you ..
😂😂 SAME! Im in KS so I know the feeling.

As a Taiwanese who lived a year in Wisconsin, I definitely had hard time to get used to the food culture there, not the food is bad, I just wish there were more options to choose from. 😅
Taiwan is definitely a "bucket list" destination for me! And that food looks amazing!
There's no night market food like Taiwanese night market food! Love how happy Inga clearly is to be here & to be feasting like this 🙂
Just went to Taiwan after a few years of not visiting. Really felt in love with the place yet again. Taichung and Taipei were amazing and the night market foods just coveered my dinner for the entire trip.
Inga Lam: I truly _love_ your cooking videos but I would love to see travel series too. Love seeing the world through your eyes. 🥰
Also, why is this video only 11 minutes long??? 😭 A Taiwan food tour video should be _at least_ an hour! Or is this just part 1 of 20? 😏🤞
Oh my god I went to the same dumpling place in Ningxia Night Market when I was visiting Taipei earlier this year. Me and my friends saw the place crowded with local people so we just went in and as expected, the food was sooooo good. It was a cold rainy night in Taipei so the dumplings and hot soup really helped warm our souls. Highly recommend!!!
I just got back from Taiwan and can't stop talking about it and recommending it to my friends. The people were really friendly, the food was sooo good, and it's such a beautiful country. Definitely will go back!
Wahoo!! Another comfy eating blog on a cozy Saturday morning~~ Living vicariously through you, Inga 💗 Thanks for another video!
Watching this is giving me major feels from when I studied abroad in Taiwan, I can't wait to go back already!
I have been to Taiwan.
The people and food is just fantastic. At night hundreds of street food stores. So yummy.
The famous bubble tea is invented in Taiwan.
Love the slang of Minnan language.
Wonder why not much of promotions on Taiwan.
Taiwan is a lovely country👍❤
Every time I've been to Taipei the night markets never disappoint! The squid looks so good. Also love seeing what other countries eat their guava with, as a Vietnamese-American I grew up eating it with chili-salt!
I visited Taiwan 5 years ago and I absolutely fell in love. Night markets were incredible and food was absolutely delicious. I can't wait to come back there in the future
Can always count on Inga to be showcasing all the yummy foods
Went to Taiwan for the first time recently, only had 3 days there so wasn't able to go to every night market i wanted to. Thankfully, Shilin, Ximending, Jiufen, and Ruifeng all had a ton of my favorite street food and now I am addicted to Taiwanese popcorn chicken, among other things! Also learned of Sunny Hills through you guys on Worth It, so I took home box upon box of pineapple and banana cake, and was surprised to learn they offer coffee too, since I'm not big on tea (theirs was surprisingly not as bitter as most teas I've had though, so I was fine with it!)
popcorn chicken #1 fried chicken in the world
@@bullseyetroll1337fr fr the bubble-like batter is godly
I traveled to Taiwan over 20 years ago and still frequently think about it and what a wonderful experience it was. This video brought back all of those memories. Night markets were one of my favorite things!
Taiwan is sooo beautiful! The food, the people! Fell in love when I first visited last April. I can't wait to be back!
Taiwan hands down has the best night market street food!❤
I love how genuinely happy inga looks here!! thank you for sharing :') also lol at inga speedwalking to the squid and leaving Brian behind
My mom was born and raised in Taipei Taiwan and her wish when she died was to go back to Taiwan so I’m looking forward to taking her ashes back and seeing this beautiful country that she would talk about all the time.
Makes me so happy when you post a video. Huge fan!!!
Thank you for taking us on a delightful trip through the night market.
i'm soooo excited to visit and try all that food!!!! also love your videos your voice is so relaxing.
I'm soooo jealous! I haven't been back to Taiwan since covid (I used to go there every year before that) but I hope to go back soon. I love the nightmarkets. The food is delicious and so cheap that you can eat like a king without spending much money. I miss Taiwan so much.. It's my favorite country after Japan (a very close second).
I wish I was there, eating with you. I’m obsessed with street food vendors in Taiwan! I binge videos wishing I was there. It’s definitely a bucket list for me. Great vlog, thank you Inga.
Thank you for the wonderful video of the ultimate Taiwanese night market food stall tour 👍
I need to try that pig's blood cake. The combination with peanut and coriander is genius, makes so much sense! Hopefully I'll go to Taiwan next year to try it. 🙏
visiting soon!! this is the perfect video to hype me up for the foooood 😆❤
so excited for you!!!
Love these videos!
Just recently spent a week in Taipei and already can't wait to make a return trip!
Feeling nostalgic and excited to visit again soon! Awesome night market video!
Made me miss Taiwan so much. My faves are the fried chicken, fried sweet potatoes, oyster omelette, oyster vermicelli, stinky tofu, sausage in a sausage, and of course all the fresh fruit juices! There are always more dishes to try than i can handle! I went back in May and i realized it's not always easy to find the traditional dishes. Definitely trying this night market when i go back this winter. Thanks for a great video
Sausage in a sausage?! That’s the one Taiwanese street food i haven’t heard of
Great video! Thank You! Great Food!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Very nice video 📹. The food looked so good. Love ❤️ to visit there one of these days 😊.

You're making this Taiwanese proud!!!
Aw crap this makes me homesick 😢😢😢
The scallion pancakes with the sausage have me actually just drooling dude….
I loved going to Taipei for double 10. It was around 35 years ago. The receptionist at the Gloria Hotel in Lin Shung North Road (?) was called "Dear". Every night I returned there I used to love saying "hello Dear"
UGGHHHH SOOO YUMMY!!! Also will go to taiwan in three weeks 😭😭❤️❤️❤️
I went to Taiwan for the first time this year and also got SO excited over all that salt and pepper squid for like 4 usd haha I often had a lot of decision paralysis when picking things, but really hope to go back for more one day
Someone take me there please... all the food looks so amazing
I was just here the other day when I arrived in Taipei! Ningxia night market was just a few minutes by foot from my hotel and I loved it
nice video promoting local street food . more videos like in this in near future . looks tasty and delicious hope to visit there someday and try your country street food .
damn all the foods make me want to be in Taiwan right now!
Going to Taipei in 2 days. My third time. I visit Taipei for the night market!
My favourite night market food in Taiwan is always the oyster noodle soup. I feel like you missed a lot of the 'standards' like black pepper buns, 'sausage wrapped in sausage', and of course...stinky tofu, but it's all tasty!
definitely still a lot more solid options!! the choices are endless
What a yummy adventure!
Can’t wait to go try some of these treats at a night market when I go back to Taiwan!
I am addicted to the 'Ugh!' at 6:28 HAHAHA
Watching this video on my first night here in Taiwan~
Dang all of that looks delicious. I'm obsessed with TW and HK food rn especially dim sum. Hope you do a Hong Kong vid next. Safe travels.
The grease spinner though!! 🤯
You are in Taiwan!!!🤩
This just made me SO hungry 😩
Ingaaaa this was so fun!! God I wish i had some giant squid right now.
Anyone else just binge watching
Inga 😅😅
Welcome to Taiwan😊🇹🇼
Fun fact, when you order food from the plastic menus like that, we write the amount we want using the stroke order for 正 so starting with an 一 and for 5 orders of something we write 正, and then repeat ❤ Love you Inga 🎉
Taiwan #1!
Yes
Great video, and also it's amazing that you got a sponsorship for it! Let them know we want more! :) Btw, it got my attention that you used paper money and coins - will I be in trouble if I try credit card and/or wechat?
I clove your cuteness, unbelievable. Genuine person with a great heart, that's what I see here :)
You can hear the code switch when Inga says Thank you XD. Taiwanese food is mad good.
So excited to try some of these next month. Do you have any favourite spots in Hsinchu too Inga?
Was in Taiwan in October and I enjoyed the night markets in Kenton (kenting) and Kaohsiung and the fresh guava every day I miss it and it's only been a month since my visit
Wowwww. So hungry now.
AAAHHH I GREW UP WATCHING YOUR VIDEOS!!!!
Back to Taiwan I goooooo HAHHAHAHA thank you Inga for feeding my obsession with Taiwan HAHAHAHA
Miss night markets of Taipei.
The guava heart is where all the sweetness and flavors are
wow, your accent of Mandarin is great. Keep saying more, mate~~
That squid made me hungry 😅
Looks incredible! Which night markets are these?
That smug smile after "my mom, wishing she was here" is so "Asian kid". 🤣
i've been waiting for this video!! we're going to taiwan in jan, seriously so excited
That's where I grew up, that exact district. And this night market is walking distance from where I lived
I rave about the night market and how badly i want to go!! I must go at some point in life. Wish i could take inga!!
Inga: I'm so full I can't eat anymore
also Inga: *proceeds to eat more*
i have guava at home rn so at least i can eat one of these food 😂😂😂 so gooood
Noooo 😢 why would you remove the sweetest part of guava. 😂
I wish I turn into a cow with 4 stomachs everytime I'm back in Taiwan. Taiwan has the best food, and Yes, I'm biased. 😁
