I love being able to do ham radio stuff on my Mac and iPhone! Especially now that you can natively run nearly any ham radio iPhone app on your Mac if it has a M1 chip. I hope new and exciting software continues to be developed for the platform. 73!

Great vid, I’ve been a Mac user for 30 years and accept that there isn’t that much out there when compared with Windows. You’ve given me some excellent references that I will exploit. With the exception of Elecraft the big three manufacturers decide to constantly ignore Mac OS - shame. 73 Mike

Mike. Thanks for this information. I am a Mac user since the early 80's. After a hiatus since 1996, I am back into Ham radio. My TS 440 gettting a new memory battery and the IC -10 chip set installed so ready for computer controlled operation. Interested in a few of these mentioned apps. especially **Rumlog**. I have the IF-232 box but that technology is too old now. Do I invest in a Signal Link and go that route? Also buying a new iMac or Mac Book Pro, and these have fewer connectivity options. to ham gear. What do you think?

Mike, I can't thank you enough for this! I'm a longtime Mac user and am always lamenting how most hams treat the Windows world as a foregone conclusion for all things ham. At one point I even tried using a new Windows laptop exclusively for radio, but I just wanted to smash the damn thing. (And I've even worked with Windows machines for decades now.) As a friend of mine likes to say, 'Windows is for pretending to do stuff; Mac and Linux are for actually doing it. ;-) Cheers and 73!

Same feelings. I am replacing a 2011 iMac and actually looked at PC's to do ham logging and felt sick. So Mike helped me make up my mind to go the iMac od Mac Book Pro route. RUMlogNG looks to be my answer along with QRZ app on an iPad or iPhone. 73 my friend.

Also I recently installed HAMRs on my iPhone, iPad and now my Macbook Pro. Is there a way to sync all the logs between your devices that have HAMRS? I could not see a sync option within the app.
    Thanks!

It's ridiculous that we should have to pay those prices just to program our radios. The FT5 is already $500. Yaesu at the very least should make programming software available for it for free. But, they would probably make the worst programming software in the world given their track record for making their radios really hard to navigate the menus.
