Love the point made about things being exposed and finally brought to light as a good that is occurring. I am reminded of a talk done by a religious sister who said the bride is sick, and we have to bring these things to light for her to become well. I am in the process of converting to Catholicism, and while all of this can be discouraging, my faith is not in humanity: it is in God. In His Church.

From 5:05, Ralph may have meant the president of Argentina, Alberto Fernandez. Fernández successfully championed/ pushed through a bill that legalized abortion. When the law passed he tweeted, " “Safe, legal and free abortion is now law … Today we are a better society,” Also, "I'm Catholic but I have to legislate for everyone." Reminds me of another so-called Catholic president. On Jan. 31, 2020 Fernández visited the Vatican with his live-in girlfriend, Fabiola Yanez, where they first attended a specially arranged mass at the tomb of St. Peter, in the crypt under St. Peter’s basilica celebrated by Archbishop Sánchez Sorondo, the chancellor of the Pontifical Academy of Sciences. That is pure privilege, a rare honor in the eyes of the world that few of us will ever experience. The president and his mistress received Holy Communion from Archbishop Sorondo. After that they had their private audience with the Pope. The Pope very warmly met the lovely couple, compared to his meeting with Trump. Pope Francis of course famously and quite harshly cast doubt on whether Trump was a real Christian - choosing to deny Trump the benefit of his "Who am I to judge?" approach. The Pope has met president Fernandez twice. He's had a private audience with Fr. James Martin SJ (advocate of the LGBTQ community), but has no time to meet or respond to the Dubia cardinals or Cardinal Zen of China. Many aggrieved Catholics are saying that Biden HAS GOT BE lying - despite having zero basis for saying that and no denial from the Vatican. Unfortunately, as I have shown above, President Fernandez is a clear precedent of an abortion-pushing "Catholic" leader being welcomed to communion by the Vatican so Biden wasn't the first to be so warmly endorsed by Pope Francis, so why should we doubt Biden that the Pope called him a good Catholic whom he encouraged to continue receiving Communion? With Pope Francis, the behaviour is the message.
Pope Francis continues to challenge us To walk along cafeteria Catholics and to love them in this worldly journey. Please pray for President Biden that he will fully accept God's call for repentance and conversion.
I think some stronger medicine is necessary for leaders like Biden. It’s time for our bishops to embrace the example of St. Ambrose of Milan, who had no problem holding the powerful accountable for their sinful behavior.
@@robertbusek30 I agree that denying the Eucharist is a sign of love for those not ready to receive it. We want them to go to heaven of course. However, I worry that denying the Body of Christ to public figures will encourage fanatics to line up in communion lines for the sole purpose of sacrilege. These fanatics will have the perfect excuse to infiltrate during Mass and cause disruption to our heavenly banquet. The cure may become more dangerous than the disease.
@@RaulRamirez-nx5sb That’s a legitimate concern, but consider this: how many regular Mass-goers who receive the Eucharist have not been to Confession in months or even years? Given the disparities between confessional lines and communion lines, I’d care to bet quite a few. This is the problem with seeing the Eucharist as a right rather than as a privilege. Hopefully, the USCCB will start addressing this problem in their teaching letter that they will be issuing in about a week.

@@gfujigo - I’m sorry, but the Church has considered abortion to be a sin since the time of the apostles. This is noted in the Didache, one of the earliest Christian texts. The Church considers formal cooperation with abortion to not only be a grave sin, but incurring immediate excommunication. Abortion is the taking of an innocent life, full stop. In short, one cannot support abortion (especially to the level that President Biden does) and be a “good Catholic.” Yet Pope Francis sees those who celebrate the Traditional Latin Mass as being far more worthy of censure than politicians like President Biden.

Dear@@Kirin2022, you are mistaken. The pope has a history of not correcting misstatements about himself. If you have read biographies of the saints, you will see that the saints considered it a virtue to be mocked as Jesus was mocked when He was misquoted! And they relied on God to bring out the truth, or not, as God willed. Those who have stopped setting the record straight because they are "tired of defending the pope" are letting lies win the day. How many times have we been fed a lie about Pope Francis? How many times have we been told that he is changing the teachings of the Church on this or that topic, and he has not changed a bit? The so-called "idol" in the Vatican garden prayer for the Amazon Synod was actually heard on tape to be "Our Lady of the Amazon." But the statue looked odd to us elites, so we were ripe for the accusation that it was of a Peruvian goddess. (So many red flags against the media's interpretation! Yet we swallowed it!) And with "Fiducia supplicans" Francis's Magisterium stated many times that 1) every sexual act outside of marriage is an act against God, that 2) only the union of one man and one woman, stable, indissoluble, exclusive, and open to the natural generation of children, is permissible, that 3) the Church cannot bless sin. And every bishop and cardinal has agreed with this document. Because the Belgian and German churches are having trouble discerning between blessing sinners and giving in to sin (please read the German Synodal Way's Website synodalerweg.de, the document called "Blessing ceremonies for couples who love each other"), "Fiducia supplicans" went on to describe the correct way to bless couples of sinners -- it must be discrete, spontaneous, and not cause scandal. The times we have seen photos of indiscrete and scandalous blessings, they have been in direct contradiction to the directions given by the pope. The pope has consistently asked for our prayers. He is a sinner, he says, and a loyal son of the Church.
Biden's gotten a lot of mileage out of playing dumb, to put it bluntly. Way too much mileage. He's not a simpleton, and he insults the entire nation every time he implies he should be thought of as such in lieu of acknowledging culpability for his transgressions. Speaking of simpletons, are we just taking what the WaPo says at face value now? I know Matt kind of danced around the possibility of vague reporting, but I'd like more than a cursory mention of what was claimed before the pearls get brought out for clutching.
The best advised I have is STOP paying attention to what the Holy Father does or doesn't do, just pray and live your life and pray to Our Lady of Sorrows and pray the Sorrowful Rosary she has done amazing and beautiful things in my life, just pray for the Holy Father, the Church and believe in Christ. ¡Viva Cristo Rey!
Ignorance and indifference are not virtues. Even the Apostle Paul encourage discern the truth even against any of the apostles. 2 Corinthians 11:4. Pray, yes, and also reject what seems like truth but it is false Gospel.
@@BikeRideTherapy yes, but there is a hierarchy of things you ought to pay attention to. We do have an obligation to grow in knowledge of the Faith, but paying attention to every single thing any given pope says and blowing out of proportion is not the way to do that. This, accompanied by prayer and fasting, should prepare you for bigger tests that we will inevitably face.
A pope who believes the 10 Commandments "are not absolute" could easily have annointed Bided "a good Catholic". Wonder if he said the same thing to Pelosi.
I love Ralph Martin. I love everything he speaks. I love Pints with Aquinas. Throughout this podcast have I learned many things I didn't know as a revert to the Catholic Church, and boy, I had fun listening to the many hours of existing podcast. But as a South American, and living in a Liberation Theology infested country, I know what's behind all this. I had my personal crisis in faith, because all that is happening these days, and after much praying, thinking, and even with some help from God, I have come to the point where I can no longer accept excuses. I'm tired of excuses, and of being tired of excuses, as someone else mentioned here. He is beyond excuses already. Regarding the current Pope, my decision from now on is to live like a medieval man. A medieval man, possibly, didn't even know who his contemporary Pope was. The last time he heard a Pope's name, was just so many years behind that he might not even be alive anymore. So, he (the medieval man) did his best to live his Catholic life, and to die in a state of grace. He attended to Mass, confessed, took counseling from his spiritual counselor; he prayed the rosary. And much like many saints did in their times, they only read material from past Popes (I can't recall a saint mentioning their contemporary Pope, except for the times they (their Popes) were doing some evil thing), whose works and deeds had been approved by tradition. And last but not least, they defended PAPACY, which is 2 thousand years long tradition, not POPE. They also had bad Popes, but they weren't worried in defending every absurdity they (the evil Popes) were out there doing. So, this is it! I'm done with trying to defend him, I'm done even listening to what he said or did. I'll follow the tradition, read from the literally thousands of books I have at home, which come from tradition. And I'm done listening to Pints with Aquinas, as much as I like it. I'll treasure the good times I had listening to it. But I can no longer take these episodes full of attempts to excuse the inexcusable.

I think it is important to point out the logical fallacy of those who seem to reject the authority of the Pope in the name of Catholic doctrine. It is Catholic doctrine to show respect and reverence to the Pope. However, we all know that throughout history there have been Popes who have behaved in ways that are not in line with what Jesus clearly teaches us through scripture. What Ralph Martin said in this video is beautiful. Maybe the Pope is now in error, or maybe the ways that he does not conform to what you expect from a Pope show some of the ways that the Church has been in error in recent times. I would just caution many of those who show a lack of respect for Pope Francis's authority to question whether the ways that he differs from their ideologies are more or less like Jesus.
@michaelrhodes1981 Three parts? Where do you get that from? Not that I'm accusing you of making things up, I'm just unsure which passages you're referring to.
I cried so much that day in fact I still do in prayer we must offer reparation for this desecration and for the Vicar of Christ who if he is guilty of saying it, and for him not clarifying it, in reparation and conversion of him! Sacrifice and love. We cant empty our hearts like Christ if its filled with hatred of a person and unforgiveness.
I grew up in the Uniting Church (mum and dad evangelical puritans, my grandfather and my great grandfather both Congregationalist Ministers), yet I married a Catholic almost 30 years ago and have been worshipping with our local Catholic parish for all that time. Sadly, my daughter who grew up in the Catholic Church feels now alienated from the Catholic Faith. I must say, after this interview I can now understand why.
Excellent interview. Many thanks. Did Biden talk to the Holy Father after a good confession? Makes a world of difference, doesn't it? Let's be careful about making our own judgements. Pax!
Absolution from the Sacrament of Reconciliation is invalid if there is no repentance. Biden is very aware of domestic politics and controversies around his Catholicity and if he had repented of his pro-abortion stance either he or his people would have said that the President has repudiated his original position on that the issue there is such a laser focus on. Because his sin and error have generated a public scandal, it is necessary that he do a public repudiation of the evil he has participated in and even encouraged through various policies.
Biden did not make any confession to a Priest. In the year since you wrote your post, Biden has doubled and tripled down on abortion murder. He is self excommunicated from the Body of Christ.
What Pope Francis is saying and sadly doing, makes me want to cry. I will continue to pray for Pope Francis and the Bishops and Priesthood of the Church, we are at war and I will continue to pray the Holy Rosary daily. Very good clip, thank you.
Most of us do think Biden heard what he wanted to hear. There are many scenarios where the Pope, any pope, would tell anyone to keep going to comunión as it assumes being in a state of grace. Of course, a person like Biden would hear what best suits him.
Nevertheless, Pope Francis' silence is either serious malfeasance or collusion with sin and error. The Vatican Press Office's official public position is that it will not comment on President Biden's claim and intends to let it stand. This is a grave problem. Consider this: If after a friendly chat with your new friend he goes on a radio talk show and boasts to the world that you told him that he could sleep with your wife whenever he felt like it, I am certain that you would tell everybody you could that you new "friend" is not telling the truth--in fact, you might not even be all that nice in how you say "He's a liar."
@@Kirin2022 In the scenario you present, I agree with you. But think about this, if Biden took the opportunity to confess, and then had the opportunity to have the Eucharist, then it's perfectly understandable that the Pope could have told him something in the lines of "keep being a good Catholic". If Biden then goes on to discuss what the Pope considered to be a personal discussion with a Catholic, I would definitely expect him to remain silent, as the Pope does not care about politics, but about Biden's salvation. I know I’m speculating about what happened. I believe almost all politicians are a piece of crap, so I would expect Biden to leverage in his favor whatever happened. We should be more upset with Biden, who is evidently using the meeting, than with the Pope for keeping quiet, which I believe he should do.
@@malverdip I can see where you are coming from, except that Pope Francis is an exceptionally political pope and has crossed lines that his modern predecessors were more careful about. Only the month before, Pope Francis had publicly reprimanded P.M. Viktor Orban about Hungary's policy against mass immigration byMuslims--a matter that is much more up for debate (all the more so because matters of prudential judgment belong to the laity, not the clergy) whereas abortion is a settled moral issue. This is only one example among many. Pope Francis did not even mind that he had much less good will to work with in Orban's case, so he very much failed by having the Vatican Press Office declare silence on Biden's claim.

How many times am I supposed to forgive my brother? 77 times 7. Some just need more forgiveness than others. So true that most of us are tired of doing it, but Jesus asks us to keep doing it.
There should be no confusion here. The pope should be upfront in promoting the teachings of our Faith.and condemn evil whoever commits it. If the pope truly commended Biden as being a good Catholic, then the pope be reprimanded, pope or no pope, he is not above the laws of Christ. Why doesn't the Vatican came out with what was discussed concerning the evil of abortion; why remain silent on such an important issue?
The question that begs to be asked: "Is Pope Francis a good Catholic?" We need a little less liberal politics and a little more spiritual leadership, and I do not see that happening any time soon.
Charity doesn't mean coming up with excuses for sin. It means to call it out and be willing to forgive when there is true repentance. There is no point to the virtue if we pretend someone who is clearly in the wrong and breaking away from Church Teaching and Tradition either has a very good reason for it, or uniquely has the right to do so, or only LOOKS like they are but really are perfectly orthodox. To do that is to commit a much bigger sin, which is to call evil good and good evil. As catholics we must never betray our clarity of vision, or else we will never be able to defend the church, even from her prelates.
COWBOY LOGIC 101: That reminds me. There were a few Popes in the Middle Ages that were not even followers of Christ. That is to say, they were not even Christians. Kind of ironic. "But when Cephas came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he stood self-condemned." Galatians 2:11 St. Paul didn't know the details of St. Peter's conversation with certain people who came from St. James, but he wasn't so squeamish about judging his failure to behave in a way consistent with the Gospel. We should pray for our leaders and we should hold them accountable for their failures. Frankly, the number of wicked popes throughout history and wicked priests in the Bible (Francis reminds me of the high priest, Jason) should tell you that you can't "trust that God is guiding" any man who happens to hold holy office!
@@carissstewart3211 I mostly agree with you. To nuance what your are saying, the Holy Spirit provides special guidance to his pastors (for the sake of the flocks in their care), but some of them ignore Him. They also vary in their ability to hear the Master.
Yes we can trust those holding a holy office IF he upholds apostolic tradition. That’s why the new theology after Vatican 2has so many confused, apparently even you.
I’m a Protestant/evangelical who started to doubt evangelical eschatology on the grounds that it came about in the 1800s. Obviously if one continues to pull that string, you then realize a lot of other stuff came about only in the 1500s. I’ve come to reject sola scriptura , accept real presence, and apostolic succession. But the issue in this video is a real stumbling block to choose Rome over Constantinople. I know the church has fallible people who sin, and I think I understand papal infallibility doesn’t apply here, but how can the pope have been chosen correctly, given what we are observing? Isn’t his election guided by the Holy Spirit?
Pray for all our bishops ,cardinals and pope. God may lead them to holiness. God is calling all of us to holiness. We are called to be saints. Love God with all your heart. Don’t be afraid God will have His way. He will judge us all.
No one gets more prayers than bishops and the pope. They are mentioned at EVERY Mass. They are getting thousands of prayers maybe tens of thousands of prayers daily (in the case of the pope), yet very little evidence of conversion. I wish I had all the prayers that the bishops and pope get. Peace.
I'm trying to rationalize the inconsistency in my mother's, who prays the rosary, watches a couple of Masses daily, love of Joe Biden and extreme hate of Donald Trump. Even though to me it seems DT was against abortion and JB encourages it. I don't get it.
Can't stand either for different reasons myself, but Trump isn't a Catholic, Joe is & he's causing scandal & eating condemnation onto his own soul by continuing to recieve Our Lord in the Eucharist.
@Antonio de Sousa to be quite honest I wasn't a fan of Donald Trump in the beginning and believed everything that the left said but then I came across a video of a black guy on UA-cam who was going to vote for Trump and I was taken a back like if Trump was racist why is a black guy going to vote for him?. Then I found out that it was the media that was lying about Trump and that he has actually done a lot for this country like funding historically black colleges, black businesses, he's against abortion, he made peace in the middle east, and he brought back businesses here to the US instead of overseas, and he even fought to have freedom of prayer in school after a girl was trying to pray for a friend was reprimanded by the school. Biden however incarcerated more black men in jail with the crime act bill of 94 for petty drug crimes instead of rehab, he gave a eulogy and was friends with a KKK member, he is for abortion, and he sexually abused and molested his daughter. There's a leak of her diary that the FBI are looking for.
Matt, I’m completely serious. I’m looking over these comments, and nearly 1,000 comments are here and 97% of them bordering on the schismatic. Don’t assist Satan as he seeks the ruin of souls. You know what Vatican 1 says. Please, do the right thing for God and the Church and lead your sheep back to Peter. Even if it is difficult for you right now, and understandably so, it is the right thing to do.
If the Church leaders aren't willing to cast shame on the world and its leaders for their grave sins then it seems to me it is ashamed of Christ, and we know then that Christ will be ashamed of those who aren't willing to call out sinners. And as much as this goes for leaders should it not also go for the lowest. Edit: not gonna lie, it almost feels like we're getting back to Herodian times. Edit 2: Thats a really interesting vision Mr Martin shares. It reminds me of our Lord's saying "He who wants to keep his life will lose it, and he who wants to lose his life for my sake will keep it." I'd love to hear more on this line of thought.
My church is so liberal I am so worried. My pastor has been off record saying he applied a same-sex couples. They don’t really see it must seem to not think it’s a big deal regarding a portion or any other cohabitation. I just feel so sad
I am a convicted protestant but what on God's earth are Matt Fradd and Ralph Martin being a modern-day Pharisees? They are not the ones delineating themselves from the tradition of God and following the tradition of man, Pope Francis and Joe Biden clearly is. Michael are you deluded? You seriously think killing millions of babies is okay? The Vatican is being silent on matters regarding abortion and the list goes on and on, a Catholic should call that out and I truly am proud of them.
Just one month before Biden's visit, Pope Francis reprimanded PM Victor Orban on his home turf on an issue (mass immigration of Muslims) over which there is actually room for debate. But he gives a free pass to Pres. Biden over a settled moral issue!
If it's a private conversation of a pastoral nature - which it was at least in part if they're talking about the state of Pres. Biden's soul and whether he's in communion with the Church, then the minister (Pope Francis) would have the obligation to maintain confidentiality, while Pres. Biden (the one receiving counsel) would not have that obligation. I'm surprised this was overlooked in the conversation. Anyone in ministry knows this, but sometimes when things get political we forget the basics, I think.
We need to pray for stronger, more concise leadership in our Church. I for one am incredibly tired of feeling like I can't turn to our bishops for guidance especially in the United States. Our bishops need to stop trying to appease the progressive mob and start standing up for the truth even if it means people leave the Church.

I agree, this was actually so encouraging
Mr Martin is on key here, and it puts everything in a clear light.
From 5:05, Ralph may have meant the president of Argentina, Alberto Fernandez. Fernández successfully championed/ pushed through a bill that legalized abortion. When the law passed he tweeted, " “Safe, legal and free abortion is now law … Today we are a better society,” Also, "I'm Catholic but I have to legislate for everyone."
Reminds me of another so-called Catholic president.
Good summary of events, thank you!
I wasn’t aware of the Fernandez issue. Holy wow! The Pope sure has a skewed sense of correct, Catholic-living. This is The Pope, folks. 😳
Pope Francis continues to challenge us To walk along cafeteria Catholics and to love them in this worldly journey. Please pray for President Biden that he will fully accept God's call for repentance and conversion.

Yet we swallowed it!)
And with "Fiducia supplicans" Francis's Magisterium stated many times that 1) every sexual act outside of marriage is an act against God, that 2) only the union of one man and one woman, stable, indissoluble, exclusive, and open to the natural generation of children, is permissible, that 3) the Church cannot bless sin.

@@malverdip Biden has doubled down on abortion murder in the year since you speculated about the possibly of him confessing to a Priest. Didn't happen.
i am a protestant (not throwing down the gantlet just info ) i critique the pope for condemning the active sharing of the gospel and a atheists viewer accused me of lying about the pope and hating Catholics. my catholic viewers were as concerned as i was and some of them wasn't as gentle as i was . i watch your channel for your educated pov and I love Catholics even though we disagree on some doctrine . Viva Cristo Rey
Soli Deo Gloria !
@michaelrhodes1981 true i have an speech impediment . i am a creator and someone told me that my mom should have aborted me others have said equally hateful things because of it but, it irritates me when people misrepresents me about people i love. including friends and family
@michaelrhodes1981 indeed the internet isn’t for the faint of heart
@michaelrhodes1981 yes love not like my mom said something to that effect to my dad .
Best comment of the day for me.
The question that begs to be asked: "Is Pope Francis a good Catholic?"
We need a little less liberal politics and a little more spiritual leadership, and I do not see that happening any time soon.
Example?
Pope is infallible, its core to Catholicism.
Matt and Fr. Martin praised Putin in this interview.
Our priest just said this weekend during his RCIA classes he wouldn't feel comfortable offering Biden communion.
Charity and diplomacy have become excuses for complicity.
Pray for the Pope.
Francis: “I think you’re a good Catholic”
Biden: “And I think you’re a good pope”
😀
Biden: “Now, you’re gonna defend me if the bishops decide to condemn me for being pro-abortion, right?”
May God guide our Pope :( Sometimes I feel like he is too eager to please the World… But I will try to be humble and trust in Him🙏
Dr. RALPH is a good thinker and analyzed correctly what must have happened in the meeting with his his insights
Wow😳😭❤️ so much hope for our future at the ending🙏❤️ I must try to remember that every day😍🙏
Why do people think they’re saints and can judge others?
If someone punched you in the face, would you judge them as wrong? Or would you just say, thank you I’ll take another
@@Crusader33ad I would probably punch them back and judge who was the better puncher!
David Vigil - you seem to think you’re a saint and can judge others. Where did I hear that??
@@Crusader33ad No friend, I ain’t no saint.
David Vigil - me either. But let’s be honest , Biden’s not a good Catholic because he opposes Christ’s truth. Just sayin’.
Awesome!! Thank you!!!!
COWBOY LOGIC 101:
That reminds me. There were a few Popes in the Middle Ages that were not even followers of Christ. That is to say, they were not even Christians. Kind of ironic. Not sure about this one.
"You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they?"
Matthew 7:16
Pray and don’t judge. You don’t know what was said in these conversations. Stop assuming. Stop listening to all that you hear and read. Love and pray for our Pope and trust that God is guiding Him. 🙏🏼
"But when Cephas came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he stood self-condemned." Galatians 2:11
St.
Honestly, I just went to confession and I have to see this picture. Saints preserve us!
Remember, it's not how others judge us , but how God judges us that matters.
“The Lord is gathering his remnant.” Amen!
Just as the Vatican’s attitude to the Kennedys was alarming and shocking to we ordinary Catholics, so is this. Only this time unsurprising. God bless.
Lead em back to Christ…
Jesus didn’t have a problem shaming the pharisees.
It was no longer private if Brandon talked about it.
Good point.
Beautiful video
My church is so liberal I am so worried. My pastor has been off record saying he applied a same-sex couples. They don’t really see it must seem to not think it’s a big deal regarding a portion or any other cohabitation. I just feel so sad
Pray for Our Church, do not despair…
I was under de impression that what they talked about is actually private. No one heard, they closed the door. Who hear that?
Modern day Pharisees are alive and well. Thank God for Pope Francis and may He continue to protect him.
😂😂😂😂 Thanks for the laugh.
Hope we ditch Francis soon. As a Catholic I'm ashamed he's our 'leader'
Absolutely! Disturbing amount of catholics want to impose Catholic social values on a secular state.
@@st.mephisto8564 Yeah, it’s not like all of the pre conciliar popes supported integralism or anything!!!
Do you remember when JPII publicly reprimanded Ernesto Cardenal.
Just one month before Biden's visit, Pope Francis reprimanded PM Victor Orban on his home turf on an issue (mass immigration of Muslims) over which there is actually room for debate. But he gives a free pass to Pres. Biden over a settled moral issue!
@@Kirin2022
Yes indeed! Upon reflection he knows how to reprimand people from all ranks of life.
Every Catholic needs to hear this charitable analysis of what’s going on with the Church and her approach to being in the world today
Pope and bishops not denying communion and not excommunicating pro abortionists.. Is a sacrilege.. Grave sin
Great video. That theologian has wonderful insight and advice.
We need to pray for stronger, more concise leadership in our Church. I for one am incredibly tired of feeling like I can't turn to our bishops for guidance especially in the United States. Our bishops need to stop trying to appease the progressive mob and start standing up for the truth even if it means people leave the Church.
I once heard a convert from Catholicism to Buddhism ask these questions (to paraphrase): "Who is a better example of their respective faiths, the Pope of the Dalai Lama? So, why should I follow a religion whose leader isn't even following it?"
I can't even imagine leaving the Eucharistic King for a pagan religion.
@@michellemcdermott2026 That's not the point. Set aside theology and look just at the leadership of each religious body.
If you’re on a ship that’s sailing towards heaven, but the captain is abusive to his men, why would you jump ship instead of trying to fix the issues with the captain?
@@ComicRaptor8850 Again, that isn't the point. You have to admit, people like the Dalai Lama are munch better at representing their faiths than the Pope is of representing his.
Both are good men. Dalai Lama encourages westerners to get in touch with their Christian roots. The Dalai Lama even attended JP11's Assisi prayer for peace.
Did we get this self righteous when it was revealed that JFK committed adultery, repeatedly? Let's be mindful of our own sins before we start beating each other down with values we ourselves can't maintain.
I'm sick and tired of weak leadership. God's servants should serve in humility and peace but not weakness and half truth and half stepping!
