Interesting video. Any car new to me with or without issues but especially one with electrical and/or engine starting issues I would fully recharge the existing battery (with appropriate charger and following car and charger instructions). Whilst that is happening I'd do further checks on existing parts (plugs, air filter, electric cables, wires, connections etc.). The new coil pack could be a matter of replacing parts rather than proper diagnostics by previous people (and of course new parts can be faulty too). Be interesting to see further videos and what you find and diagnosis. You will check things lazy pros might ignore.
Brilliant video again, going to be a painful weekend, but getting better slowly, hope you have a good weekend, the boys out with the transit in bath this weekend
oh, that doesn't sound good, in the engine or below. Really interesting investigation. More to discover! Thanks for sharing. I look forward to your next vid
New coill pack but are all the plugs ok? Im thinking they should be if he thought it needed new coil pack. But you never k ow. Has it lost any coolant?
That looks like a cheap aftermarket coil pack. I’d bin that. Do a compression test before you spend any money. Iv seen a lot of garage toss a coil pack and a set of plugs at a car with a miss fire.

I'm amazed it started. Interesting to see the various checks you carried out before actually starting the car.
Glad you enjoyed the video, Bob.
Love your 'fishing' tool! Shame the car isn't as efficient!
Well, two cylinders is better than none.
Good all-around checks before the dreaded 'misfire' moment of truth.
Thank you, RDT.
Great work so far Stephen. It’s good that you mentioned the battery, as that effects the obd2 reader. I look forward to the next video. Cheers
Thank you, Matt. Glad you enjoyed the video. I'm looking forward to investigating further.
@@CarSpyTV I look forward to it :)
I envy you for being able to carry out such investigations on "old" cars. I'm excited to see how it turns out. Thanks for it!
Thank you, Mycat68. Best wishes from CarSpyTV.

Nice to see another Mondeo video. Interesting to follow what you are doing and pleased and surprised it started first time.
Thank you, Anne. More Mondeo videos to follow.

Thank you, Ian. Glad you're getting better (albeit slowly). Hope the Transit does well in Bath. Take it easy. We're walking the dog.
@@CarSpyTV I wish I was walking with you both lol
Sounds good to us, Ian.

Sounds a tad rough love
Yep!

Thank you. Excellent points we need to investigate. Best wishes from CarSpyTV.
Great video 😀👍
Thank you, Chris. Glad you enjoyed the video. Perhaps that new coil pack's faulty!
Sounds like down on compression on start up to me
Thanks for the suggestion, Chris. We have a compression tester, so we can look into that.

Thanks for the useful comment, Barry.
That's not good when a mechanic said a miss fire
The previous owner told me the mechanic was grumpy and disinterested. Not ideal!
Did you fix it?
Working on it. More videos to follow.
