Seed bead earrings tutorial for beginners, brick stitch and bead fringes

- the TOTAL LENGTH of our THREAD for the earring is about 2.2 m
Step by step instructions for bead earrings. In this video, we will make boho beaded earrings with fringes. Beaded thread will need approximately 2.2 m, about 60 cm for the top of the earring and 1.6 m for beaded pendants I used Czech beads number 10, three colors, you can use other beads of any other colors - the result will always please you). The only thing is, I do not advise using Chinese beads - it is not even and the earrings turn out to be crooked. Czech beads, Toho beads size 11 and Delica are the most suitable types of glass beads for the best result and wonderful earrings! Do it with pleasure! Enjoy your beading!
Materials used:
Czech beads No. 10 or Toho beads number 11!
nylon thread (total thread length approx. 2.2 m)
bead needle
hooks
scissors
round nose pliers or pliers - Навчання та стиль
important! the total length of our thread for the earring is about 2.2 m. For the upper part of the earring, it takes about 60 cm, the rest of the thread is used for beaded fringes
Thanks 🙏 by the way did you use plastic and elastic thread ??
@@ruvarashematsvayi6714 Thank you! No, for earrings with beaded fringes, I use exclusively synthetic beaded thread. It is with a beaded thread that I like how beaded fringes are obtained.
Hello and thanks for the video. What size bead needle are you using?
@@tamerakraft9199 Good day! Thanks a lot! I always use a size 12 beading needle.
Well this is good to read after my 4th time of starting the first part of the project, nearly completing it and having to cut it all up and get a bigger string, then finish it my 4th try and realize the 60cm was only for the top part and not have any string at all on the other end for the fringes 😭 that is very hard to see in the video, and I’ve been trying to make this for several days now. Oh well, it’s such a pretty pattern. I’ll just be trying it again.
As a reconnecting native this is so helpful! I’ve been wanting to learn to bead to honor my ancestors- so seeing you sharing this is amazing!

Fantastic tutorial choice! 😍 Can't wait to try making seed bead earrings with brick stitch and bead fringes. Thanks for sharing! 👏👍
Thank you very much! All the best! 🌞💐
It's so much faster and easier to start from the top and work your way down doing brick stitch. if you start from the top, you don't have to worry about too many threads bulking up at the bottom when you add the fringes. I have been beading earrings this way for over 35 years and have made and sold hundreds and hundreds of earrings.
hello. this is good. this is your way. I show how I work. I am comfortable with this option as I show. I do not like to drag a three-meter thread through the entire weaving when a meter and a half of it is intended for pendants. my twenty years of experience with beads in different weaving techniques gives me the right to choose exactly how I work. each needlewoman will try both your weaving method and mine, and even the way when weaving the first row and immediately pendants, and then the top. These are ways and variations. thank you for your opinion.and this is a good idea in terms of showing the viewers all three ways of weaving this type of earrings and then having tried all the ways, each one will choose the best for herself. everyone has his own path. Wish you all the best! have a nice day!
Boy!! I would love to learn this technique. Beautiful work

I tried and found easy and it really turned out to be beautiful....❤😊 thanks for the tutorial
One more thing that can we create this with single line instead of double?
Yes, sure. only the first row is easier to make a double, and then with simple brick weaving. you can see the technique in this video, only there are 11 columns in the first row and you can do the same 9. (or any other odd number;))

Como treinamento, você pode tentar o que tem, mas seria melhor encontrar um fio de contas). Desejo-te sorte!)

I'm brand new to beading. I'm messing something up. I'm at row 4 & still have 9 columns. I will get this. I think I'm just missing one thing. But I will get it. Your video is great though. Thank you
Dear Dolly, each new row should decrease, the decrease is done as in brick weaving. Put the video in the speed settings - lower the speed so that it is convenient for you to see behind my hands. When we move to a new row, we pass the needle under the thread between the second and third columns of the previous row. Most likely the error is here. I wish you good luck with your beading. A little patience and you will succeed!
You make this look so easy AND it’s not that easy! It’s hard keeping it tight.
It's not hard if you don't rush. We correct each pendant, pull the thread, correct it. it is always slow at first. over time, the hand will fill up and the thread will be automatically tightened.
Is rayon thread good enough to use for this? It's all I have at the moment and want to get into this type of jewelry making.
hello. yes, you can try your thread. the main thing is that she could pass through the bead several times without breaking it. if the thread is thin, but there should be no problems with it. (only if it does not get confused, but you do not rush and straighten it, everything should work out for you).
Thank U for sharing this. I just started learning on fringe necklace. So now I want to learn on the earrings. 😊
I have a dumb question to ask U. Is the Size 10/0 is bigger than 11/0 or am I wrong?
Thanks a lot! Yes, you are absolutely right, the number 10 of the Czech seed beads is larger than the number 11 of the Czech seed beads. But number 10 Czech beads are almost the same size as number 11 Toho beads). I use czech beads since that's what i can buy in my local shop, but toho and delica are also great for beaded earrings.) good luck with your earring learning! (P.S. I started with knitted cords - this is my separate great love, then I made beaded necklaces, a huge amount), for myself, for friends, for relatives), now I can’t stop making beaded earrings, I come up with schemes, I come up with designs, I buy schemes, about a huge number and scope for imagination). I love beads)))
@@BeautyBeadsLand Thank U very much. 😊
This is awesome! Was wondering if you can use 7 columns or 5 columns instead of 9 and will it still work out? I'm saving this in my playlist 😊
hello!) of course yes!) it is possible and for 3 if you want very thin earrings))). I make earrings from 9 to 21 columns (and fringes). There are people who love wide earrings). In any case, you can make any number of odd ones, if you make an even number of columns, then you will have to bring the thread up for weaving, and if you do it exactly according to the technique as I showed in the video, then any odd number of columns is suitable. 😉💐
@@BeautyBeadsLand thank you so much for replying. I will try it. Have yourself a beautiful day!!!
@@lolalady thank you dear! Good luck 🤞🍀💐♥️
Hi I'm not sure what size thread to get for a 0.8mm hole seed beed the beads are 11/0
Hello. It must be thin thread. From 0.10 mm to 0.15 mm in diameter
Wish You were Here Khong Anh
🤗💐
Woowoo
Possible to use normal Sewing thread ? Thx for another lovely tutorial
hello. yes, just choose a very thin thread. the problem can only arise at the stage of adding beaded fringes. in the bottom row of the triangle, it turns out that we pass the thread through the beads three times, if the thread is thick, then it will not pass through the beads the third time.
it's grate love it, can u plz mention wht kind of thread is used?
Hello. I use beading thread ( it is nylon thread, synthetic 100%, the diameter is 0.1mm. the diameter of 0.12mm is also good.)
Love the earrings and I really want to give them a go! We don't have the same supply in Sweden, the seed beads I can find are size 8, 11 or bigger, can I choose 11 then? What type of nylon thread is it and what size of needle should I choose please? 🤗
Hello! use beads number 11, this is most likely Toho beads, it is even better than Czech beads, products made from Toho beads are very beautiful. about the thread, use a polyester thread, preferably a diameter of 0.1 mm, a beading needle - I use a beading needle number 12, but the main thing is that it is intended for beads.)
@@BeautyBeadsLand thank you so much for your quick response! ☺️🙏 Yes the store I'm looking at has TOHO and Miyuki. Is either of them to prefer in your opinion? Miyuki is a bit more expensive. I have zero experience in this area 🤣❤️ When to choose what thread to use in general when it comes to seed beads, is something to prefer most times? I've seen nylon and fireline in the few videos I've checked out...
@@rebeccaledam7544 for earrings with fringes, it is better to use Toho beads, Miyuki is better to use for brick weaving and for peyote beading, but this is just my opinion). from a thread, for beaded earrings with fringes it is better to use a polyester thread, it is softer and the fringes fit better, less "stick out"))), BUT, this is only my opinion)))
@@BeautyBeadsLand thank you so so much for your help, it's greatly appreciated! ☺️🙏
@@rebeccaledam7544 you are welcome! Good luck to you 🍀💐
Well, made my first pair of fringe earrings. I think my tension of thread. Any suggestions to correct it.
Hello. do you mean that the earrings stick out, or that there are threads visible between the pendants and the upper triangle? when you make pendants, pull the last bead with one hand, pull the thread with the other, when the pendant is ready, you pull it with your hands several times, pull it out so that all the beads from the pendant lie exactly in their places and the whole thread is pulled out of the pendant. if the thread is beaded, then apart from looking for the correct thread tension during the manufacture of each pendant, there are no other recommendations. over time, you will quickly begin to feel how much you need to pull the thread, practice.
❤❤❤
How tight are you holding the thread? How do you keep the last beads together when you introduce the next set? I've made it to the 8 set of 2 and when I fail. I don't know if I'm holding the thread too tight or what.
Hello. do you have bead thread? if you repeat step by step after the video, then the beads do not fall apart, but are held on by the thread, we secure them. watch the video slowly, maybe you are making some mistake
@@BeautyBeadsLand okay so I think I was holding the bead thread too tight and because my fingers wouldn't hold the whole thing it came apart but I finished a whole row this morning
@@t_garza perhaps... I usually correct it in the process, tighten the thread until I add the next column, as soon as I add the next column, the previous one automatically holds well... if there is a lot of space left between the columns in the first row, then when adding pendants they will not be so fits neatly, but with experience everything will turn out much easier and faster;) Good luck to you!
Once you complete the top half, how do you "rethread" the needle to do the fringe? that seems to be skipped over
and I don't intuitively see how to.
no, there are no rough transitions. just put in the needle that part of the thread that you originally left in the tail when you made the first row of the triangle. that is, when we pick up the first 4 beads, we advance them along the thread by about 80 cm, leave the long part of the thread for pendants in the tail, and we ourselves make a triangle. if you cut the thread for the pendants, then just add an extra thread. there is a video with the addition of an additional thread that may come in handy
ua-cam.com/video/zCqWUJUwpv4/v-deo.html
This looks amazing how much time you took to make it? And how much you sell it for like how many rs?
Thank you! in time about two to three hours. The cost of earrings of this type varies from 16 to 26 dollars
HELP. My 2 end fringes end up bowed out. How can I stop this from happening? They move around just fine, it doesn't seem like they're too tight.
unfortunately this happens. Sometimes the seed beads are to blame, sometimes the seed beads are not even and because of them the entire beaded fringe is bent. sometimes we tighten the thread too much. I don't know of any other reasons, unfortunately.
Thank Thankyou so much for your Videos, ❤❤❤,new subscribe here from yongmeth sungdahu channel, 👍

Que lindos, pero casi no entiendo . Hablo Español. Saludos desde Colombia.
Gracias. En el video, muestro paso a paso cómo hacer aretes, si sigues mis pasos, ¡definitivamente obtendrás aretes maravillosos! ¡¡¡Buena suerte para ti!!!
which nylon tread you were using?
Hello. I use beaded thread, it is nylon thread with a diameter of 0.1 mm, 100% polyester
I got confused when you cut off the thread started doing the fringes. You put more thread in the needle but how did you introduce it back into the triangle to make the first fringe line? How did you secure it so it wouldn’t come loose. The video makes it seem as if you added the needle to the left over thread on the opposite side of the triangle, the piece of thread that was left over from when you started it. But that excess was very short to add a needle to. Maybe I’m not seeing it right.
so, we cut off 220 cm of thread, visually separate about 80 cm for the upper triangle, the rest of the thread remains for beaded pendants in the tail. when we finish making the upper triangle, we cut off this thread - we no longer need it, since we already put the needle in our second part of the thread, that is, in the long end of the thread that we left initially intact in the tail.
about knots - you can make knots, but I don't make knots - I do fastening thanks to zigzags in one direction, then in the other, I still get a "dead loop" while turning the zigzag in the other direction. so the thread will never unravel!
@@BeautyBeadsLand I got confused here as well and my tail was short. Now I ran out of thread and only made one fringe..suggestions on how to fix and add new thread??
@@ajna5233 hello. You can add the working thread in any part of earring
